                “Aww come on, guys! This is the first time that we’ll spend Christmas together!” Jongin was pouting as he looked upon the faces of Chanyeol and Sehun sitting on one of Kyungsoo’s couches, each of them sighing every once in a while. “Don’t you think you can do better than that?” he waved his hand on the duo’s noses but he’s just completely ignored. “Babe! Come help me with these two! They’re impossible to cheer up,” he grumbled more.

                “You do that, Jongin. I’m busy cooking here,” replied his boyfriend who had already been in the kitchen all day. Childishly, Jongin stuck his tongue out to the cousins and proceeded to the kitchen and backhugged Kyungsoo who is stirring the white sacue for their fetuccini that’s already prepared by the table along with the roast chicken, ham and some fruits. It’s already seven pm and those two are not helping in spreading the Christmas spirit. Jongin loves Christmas but his mood is going down the drain.

                “Jongin…” the younger immediately loosened his arms around his boyfriend but he didn’t let go. He simply rubbed his nose lightly on the other’s neck. It continued for a few more minutes until the sauce is done. Kyungsoo put down the ladle as he put out the flame and slowly turned to face his gloomy baby. He cradled the younger’s face in his hands as he Jongin’s cheeks gently to make his creased forehead relaxed.

                “Baby, what’s wrong?” Kyungsoo continued the sweet gesture that Jongin loves. He loves it that this wide-eyed angel so easily appears in front of him, his usual defenses crumbling down when Jongin needs him.

                “It’s just that the mood of those two has rubbed off on me,” Jongin sighed and he rested his forehead on Kyungsoo’s. “I love you, Do Kyungsoo,” the sudden declaration made Kyungsoo giggle embarrassedly.

                “You won’t be opening your gift until midnight, Kim Jongin,” Kyungsoo pulled Jongin closer and he breathed that familiar scent of the younger’s cologne.

                “I know. I just wanted to let you know that I love you,” he pulled the other closer as the non-existent space between them permitted.

                “Well, in that case, I love you too, you brat,” Kyungsoo playfully poked his nose and Jongin laughed.

                “I really love it when you’re like this babe. It’s better than your little devil image, you know,” Jongin winced when Kyungsoo playfully punched his ribs.

                “Why do you think I’m like this?” Kyungsoo raised an eyebrow at him.

                “Because you love me?” Jongin tried and he closed his eyes as he waited for Kyungsoo to tell him off for being so cheesy but the other just stayed silent. He dared to peek at the older’s expression and Kyungsoo is smiling up shyly at him, with matching pink cheeks. Jongin’s Kyungsoo-filled heart was knocked out once more. “Oh god, why are you so cute?” he pinched those pink cheeks and planted a loving kiss on those heart-shaped lips.

                “Are you feeling better now?” Kyungsoo asked with a smile when Jongin leaned back and looked at him with wonder. The younger nodded once and his radiant smile almost blinded Kyungsoo. Well, acting all cute was so much worth it.

                “Very much,” Jongin kissed him once again but this time with a little more passion that rendered Kyungsoo breathless.

                “Uhmmm, please don’t mind me. I’ll just get some water,” Chanyeol was standing awkwardly by the door frame. The couple broke apart but their grins are wide as an ocean even after Chanyeol has left with his water in his trembling hands. He just wanted a normal relationship just like his bestfriend’s.
