Stupidly Perfect, Perfectly Stupid“Kim Jongin! You are going to talk right now!” Luhan pulled his cousin inside the dance studio.
“If you’re going to ask me why Kyungsoo was so angry with me, I don’t know the answer to that myself,” Jongin pried his hyung’s hands off of his arms. Ever since this lunch, he didn’t feel like doing anything except lay somewhere and curl up into a ball. Kyungsoo’s rage-filled eyes were imprinted in his brain and it hurts. He tries to pull out his good memories of Kyungsoo, his shining eyes and his lovely smile but he kept on failing.
“Who is Kyungsoo to you anyway? And he called you Kai. You only use that with your flirting escapades, Kim Jongin,” he is being scolded by his hyung. As if Kyungsoo being mad at him is not yet enough.
“I escaped home last summer, right?” Luhan nodded at this. “I ended up in the woods by Kyungsoo’s family rest house. That’s where we met,” Jongin’s shoulders drooped.
“And then? Did you break into their house?”
“I did not!” the younger crossed his arms in front of him indignantly and he spied Sehun coming into the studio. He tipped his head to get his hyung distracted. Maybe he’ll be saved by the brat but he’s almost shocked to see Luhan looking very concentrated on every pore of Jongin’s face.
“Maybe you destroyed one of his flower pots,” if his Luhan hyung is trying to melt him with the way he’s putting all his attention to Jongin, he’ll succeed in a few minutes.
“Their flowers are not in pots.”
“Oh come on, Jongin! Quit playing around and just tell me what I need to know!”
“I’m in love with Kyungsoo!” Jongin saw how Luhan’s jaw drop as well as the others inside the studio. He caught Sehun’s gaze but the brat just looked back with unfathomable eyes. “And I don’t know what the is his problem because he won’t talk to me, hyung,” Jongin broke down and his knees gave out. Luhan caught him and steadied him on his feet by hugging him tightly.
The word spread like fire. Different versions came out but one thing is clear, Kris Wu is up for grabs, again. Some even had the audacity to throw a party to celebrate Kris’ freedom. They knew this would happen, they said. Kris is smart for getting out of that relationship early and Park Chanyeol is stupid for letting Kris Wu go, just like that.
They didn’t know that I started all of this. They didn’t know that it was Chanyeol who left me. They didn’t know that I hurt Chanyeol. They didn’t know that I am the stupid one for letting Chanyeol go.
Wednesday passed like a blur. No more texts from him. Kris tried to reach his phone but it seemed like Chanyeol changed his number. He looked out for him at lunch but not even Kyungsoo or Sehun was there. He tried to ask his classmates but they said that they have no idea. What liars, they’re in the same classes all day. How can they not know? Kris is becoming more irate by the moment and thankfully, Luhan has pulled him away before he lost his cool on one table who are gossiping about how Chanyeol looks like an oversized gnome.
Kris’ last hope is the basketball practice. He knows that Chanyeol never missed one. He’ll talk to him and explain to him everything. He’ll accept it if Chanyeol will get mad at him. He deserves an explanation from Kris, at the very least. He waited by the bleachers and watched out for the giant cutie but every member of the basketball club has changed and are stretching already but Chanyeol is nowhere in sight.
“Boys, in your places! I’d have to announce that Park Chanyeol has withdrawn f
