The game was finished and of course, Gem High has won. The gym was thundering with voices of support for the home team throughout the game. Whenever Kris could block a shot or steal the ball or shoot hoops, the gym was almost shaking with all the fangirl squeals that made Kyungsoo cover his ears irritatingly. There was just one moment of silence when Kris had a three-pointer in and he winked on a particular big-eared cutie on the lower bleachers. It was when Kris smirked at him and waved on the crowd that the usual cheering erupted. Chanyeol rubbed his eyes and slapped his face to make sure that he didn’t make that up.
“Don’t erase your eyes, Channie. Kris did wink at you,” Luhan giggled at his side. When the crowd has dispersed, they waited by the players’ bench and a little later, the players had started to file out. They had spotted Ji Hoo and when he had spotted them, he scampered close to his teammates but he shot them a scornful look. Kyungsoo didn’t back down and when the little devil resurfaced, the tall guy looked away. Luhan spied his bestfriend and he skipped towards him to congratulate him for a good game when he saw Jaden talking casually with Kris.
“It’s nice to see you again, man,” Kris and Jaden fist bumped. When he saw his bestfriend standing awkwardly in the middle of the court, Kris met him there with a final wave to his friend. Jaden suddenly halted and turned to back.
“Luhan, you look y in red hair,” he winked at Luhan again and Luhan wants to bury himself under the ground. Jaden then went on his way yelling a ‘See you around, Kris!’ before disappearing from the gym.
“Lu, you look like you’re about to cry,” Kris chuckled at his bestfriend.
“This is not funny, Yi Fan,” Luhan grumbled.
“So you saw Jaden again. What’s the big deal?”
“I don’t know. I wasn’t expecting to see him here, maybe? He’s staying in China!” Luhan lightly hit his bestfriend’s arm just to let his frustration out.
“It looks like he moved here,” Kris inferred. Luhan pouted at him. “Don’t be like that, Lu. I’m going to think that you’re still in love with him.”
“I. Am. Not! I have somebody else,” Luhan stiffened at the slip he made. It’s supposed to be a secret but Kris already knew who that somebody is.
“Fine, whatever you say, beautiful,” Kris teased to save Luhan.
“Yah!” he was being chased around the court by an angry Luhan who was scolding him at the top of his lungs.
“Childish brats,” Kyungsoo breathed and Jongin laughed.
“They’ve always been like that, baby,” Jongin wrapped his arm around his boyfriend and he caught Sehun’s face.
“I-I’ll just go drink milk tea… or something,” the kid scurried off without a second glance.
“Where’s Sehun going? I was going to invite you all to a celebratory dinner,” Kris stopped beside Chanyeol who blushed instantly. Luhan caught up to him and was scolding him about calling him beautiful in between his breathless pants w
