“Sehun-ah, are you sure that you’re going to school with that?” Chanyeol pulled lightly on his cousin’s multi-colored hair. It looked like a parrot has nested on Sehun’s head.

                “Why not? Besides the school doesn’t have policy with hair color restrictions,” Sehun moved his head away and checked the mirror if he’s styled nicely. He felt like he had to do something at par or more than that new redhead at Gem High. Chanyeol gave up on his cousin and his weirdness and he found himself a place in front of the mirror to check his new haircut. It’s shorter and it made his ears stick out like they have a life of its own.

                “Why did I let you decide for my haircut, huh, Sehun? I look like Yoda,” he tried to push his ears back a little but of course it will go back to being the mini version of dumbo’s ears.

                “New hairstyles are symbolic, hyung. Aren’t you trying to move on?” Chanyeol’s hand ‘accidentally’ hit the back of Sehun’s head. The younger grunted at impact.

                “Let’s go out and wait for Kyungsoo, he might blow up the house if we’re slower than he expects us to be,” Chanyeol picked up both their bags and handed Sehun’s his before they went out their shared condominium unit. Just as they got out of the lobby, Kyungsoo’s car has just stopped and when the driver stepped out, the two towers had let out a whistle.

                “Soo! What happened to your hair?” Chanyeol gushed over Kyungsoo’s new hairstyle. The sides were shaved and his hair had burgundy highlights. “You look… smoking,” it’s true though. It matched his bestfriend’s other personality, the little devil.

                “Sehun's got a point with getting new hairstyles so why not? Get your butts in the car and we don’t want to be late."

                After the fifteen-minute travel to Gem High, Kyungsoo parked at his reserved spot. They got out one by one and they managed to catch some of the students’ interest. Many were whispering and many were taking photos in a not so discreet way. Kyungsoo felt a little bit happy with the eyes on them. The attention is not so bad, after all. Chanyeol has worn a scarf on his head to slightly hide his ears while Sehun is flaunting his rainbow hair. All of the people are gone too soon because of the only reason why they stay outside instead of going directly to their classrooms.

                When the squeals got louder, it became the cue for Kyungsoo to pull Chanyeol to their room. He saw how his bestfriend had his eye on the crowd, his neck slightly craned so he can see above their heads and deflated like a balloon. Without even Kyungsoo telling him to move, Chanyeol made his way to the school buildings. Just like how he was the morning after he saw Kris’ and Luhan’s photos.

                Chanyeol could’ve easily brushed those off and say that they are bestfriends. Kyungsoo and he have their share of skinship. What had hurt him is that Kris didn’t seem to have any inkling to have those with Chanyeol. And the air around him and Kris always starts as tense. Also the look in Kris’ eyes whenever Chanyeol is studying him. It’s reserved, closed and careful. Those pictures just confirmed what he has been dreading.
