Stupidly Perfect, Perfectly StupidKris is looking very hard on his phone and he has reread his mother’s message a lot of times already. It was a short message but he can’t wrap his head around it. He has called Luhan to check on him but instead of being home as Kris advised him to do because his bestfriend also took the role of being his unofficial bodyguard, Luhan said he was in the cafeteria. Something in Luhan’s voice raised curiosity in him but he figured that his mother’s message is more important than that.
He opened the double doors leading to the cafeteria and somebody has bumped into him. Kris was about to scold the fellow student for not even apologizing when he recognized the colors of his hair. He was about to ask Sehun if he’s alright but the kid was nowhere in sight in just a few seconds. Kris shrugged at that and proceeded inside the cafeteria. Luhan waved him over at their usual lunch table but he did a double take when he saw that his bestfriend/bodyguard isn’t alone.
“Minseok?” Kris called the other guy. Minseok turned and smiled at him. This guy is in their class and he’s the son of one of the most famous soccer player of their time.
“I’m also about to leave. I need to be at practice for the soccer club. See you around,” Minseok stood up and casually patted Kris’ arm before making his way out of the cafeteria. Kris has put the pieces together and he looked at Luhan accusingly.
“What are you planning to do, Lu? I saw Sehun on his way out and he seems to be out of his self. And why were you talking to Minseok instead of resting?”
“Aish, dad. Minseok has confessed to me just a few hours ago and I figured why not? Jongin has Kyungsoo while you and Channie seems to be doing okay with just the occasional bacon pestering around,” Luhan answered nonchalantly. Kris didn’t buy it. He can see how Luhan looks at Sehun and he saw how Sehun looks at Luhan. It’s just that their twisted heads are getting in their way.
“I just hope that you don’t get yourself into trouble like I did,” Kris settled on the seat beside his bestfriend and Luhan just gave him a salute.
“Why did you call me, anyway? Don’t you have practice?” Luhan moved closer to Kris so that they can speak in hushed tones. A habit they developed in case Baekhyun is lurking around and listening. Kris gave his phone to him.
“Dammit,” Luhan muttered. “That cunning guyliner!” he put his forehead on the cool table top and the feeling soothed him a bit and it even gave him an idea.
“If your mom wants you to be friends with Byun over dinner, why don’t you bring us along? Maybe she’ll stop thinking that you’re anti-social,” Luhan smiled smugly at himself when he saw Kris’ eyes brightened. They need to find a way to stop this Byun situation because it’s already dragging him and Kris as well as his cousin and his little scary boyfriend.
“I’ll bring you and Jongin?”
“Bring me, Jongin, Kyungsoo, Chanyeol and… his cousin,” Luhan avoided saying Sehun’s name out loud in case he’ll
