Chapter 6.

      Bright sunlight. Too bright. Kyungsoo groaned and rolled over, lifting his arm to cover his eyes. For a few moments his mind was blank, but then memories of last nights outing came rushing back unexpectedly and Kyungsoo's eyes snapped open in alarm.    If he had known that the drinking get together Chanyeol organised was nothing but a freight train heading into disaster, he wouldn't have allowed it to occur. But as it was, Kyungsoo was only human, and this of course made him susceptible to misadventure. Blissfully unaware would be the only way to describe Do Kyungsoo at exactly 5:34PM as he walked through the front entrance of an all too familiar pub with Chanyeol in lead, their eyes scanning the area for their two colleagues, Minseok and Jongdae.    At first it had started off well. Conforming to tradition, Chanyeol had ordered a large bowl of wedges and beers to go around. The four teachers had settled down and soon, with the help of alcohol, the conversation had begun flowing. As planned, Minseok's mood had improved significantly after his usual banter with Jongdae, and Kyungsoo was looking far less tense after a glass and a half of beer.    It was only when Chanyeol was officially drunk, that things started going downhill. More specifically when an officially drunk Chanyeol brought Kim Joonmyeon up in conversation.    To say that things escalated before ending badly would be an understatement. Kyungsoo knew that when intoxicated, Chanyeol had a habit of running his mouth, but on this occasion the tall English teacher had outdone himself. Jongdae had left the pub most ungracefully and Chanyeol, after having lost his temper at the economics teacher, had stormed out only minutes later. After quick negotiations, Minseok and Kyungsoo had split up to locate their missing friends. After having searched for Chanyeol for a considerable amount of time, Kyungsoo had finally found his tall friend and trekked quite the distance home, due to the fact that he couldn't drive Chanyeol's car back (he had cursed himself unendingly for continuously putting off getting his license.) He had dragged Chanyeol up the three floors of their apartment complex to his own place and after struggling immensely to get the door unlocked, dragged Chanyeol in and pushed his inebriated friend onto his bed before practically crawling to his couch and passing out.    Kyungsoo sighed at the memory of the nights events before scrunching his nose at the reflection he caught of himself in the glass door leading to his balcony. With a soft groan he got up from the couch he had woken strewn over and made a beeline for his shower. He was still wearing the clothes he had been wearing the day before, shoes and all, and sleeping in them did not help with his already disheveled appearance. His hair stood up at awkward angles and he was feeling far from fresh. Kyungsoo grabbed a towel and the hot water before stripping and stepping in.    Ten minutes later, Kyungsoo emerged from his bathroom with a towel wrapped securely around his waist, another placed carelessly on his head. Having not wanted to disturb Chanyeol who was still sleeping in his room, Kyungsoo had not gotten any clothes to change into beforehand, but he knew that it couldn't be avoided any longer. After quickly drinking a cold glass of water, he crept into his room towards his chest of drawers.    Chanyeol was snoring lightly, the only visible sign of him there being in bed was the top of his head — curly, caramel brown hair peeked out from beneath Kyungso's forest green summer sheets. Kyungsoo sighed at the sight, already anticipating Chanyeol's misery when he woke up with a bad hangover and a nasty recollection of his argument with Jongdae. Turning back to his chest of drawers, Kyungsoo pulled out a few items of clothing before tiptoeing to his wardrobe, riffling for a few moments before locating what he was looking for.    After hurriedly getting changed, Kyungsoo padded back into his bedroom over to the bedside. He reached out to shake Chanyeol awake, softly calling as he did.   "Yeol. Wake up. We have to go to work"   Chanyeol moaned incoherently and
