Chapter Thirty Eight

After 30 minutes, Mika was ready and the two of them quickly left to buy the ingredients together. At the grocery store, Chizune did all the shopping while Mika was still half asleep pushing the cart. “So Mika, what kind of chocolates are you going to give Takashi-kun?” Chizune asked but Mika didn’t reply “Uh?” she wondered as she turned to her and she saw her leaning on the cart sleeping “(-_-) seriously” she said.

After grocery shopping, they went to a nearby café to drink some coffee first. While drinking, “Yah Mika, how was the trip? I heard you went with all the Boyfriend members” said Chizu “Uh, it was fun. They taught me how to fish and the fish suddenly hit Kira on the face, he was really mad but it was also funny at the same time” said Mika “Really? Waaah~ I’m so jealous of you. You get to hang out with those guys because of your job... but... their MV is already out so why do you still have to go with them during their performances and stuff?” asked Chizu “Well, because of my stupidity of not reading the stupid contract” said Mika “Eh?” Chizu was confused “It’s really a long story” said Mika then she released a sigh and took a sip of her coffee “Sou... uh, I’m also curious about one thing... since it’s almost two months already... have you fallen for any one of the guys there?” asked Chizu, Mika suddenly paused for a while when Chizu asked her the question “Uh” she said and Kira’s face suddenly appeared in front of her head, “It’s Kira-kun... right?” asked Chizu and Mika suddenly blushed but she didn’t say a word. “AHA! I knew it!” Chizu proclaimed, “E-Eh?” Mika wondered “W-What are you talking about?” She added “Yah Mika, you can’t lie to me... I’m your best friend” said Chizu and Mika just kept quiet

“So are you planning to give him chocolates tomorrow?” asked Chizu, “I’m planning to give THEM chocolates tomorrow” Mika replied, “But Kira-kun’s will be special, hihihihihi” said Chizu and Mika rolled her eyes, “Uh, Takashi-kun will also break up with you tomorrow right?” asked Chizu and Mika nodded her head “So... are you going to tell him that you guys will just be friends?” she asked “Syuu-nii’s really nice and I admit that I almost had feelings for him... he treats me like his own sister and even more than that; he’s sweet as well... but there’s just something in him that isn’t right for me... I feel like he deserves someone better than me” said Mika “While Kira?” said Chizu “That good for nothing egghead may be handsome and famous but he’s a big fat jerk! I hate it when he always gets on my nerves!” Mika proclaimed “But?” said Chizu “But... I don’t get it why whenever he tries to do something nice or something... I don’t know, sweet... my heart starts beating fast and I can’t control it...” Mika added as she looked at her coffee. She kept quiet after saying those words; Chizu smiled and said “You’ve grown so much already... I’m so happy for you (^^)” Mika turned to her with a confused face “Chizu...” she said, “Mika... the only thing I can say to you is... follow your heart” said Chizu “Uh?” Mika wondered then she smiled and said “Arigatou”

            After that, they separated ways. Mika was on her way home when suddenly her phone rang. It was an unknown caller but she answered it anyway

*Phone Convo*

Mika: Hello?
Caller: Mika-chan!
Mika: Konoka-chan?
Konoka: I hope you don’t mind, I got your number from Kira-kun ^^
Mika: Nah, its okay...
Konoka: Uh, by the way... have you asked him already?
Mika: Uh? *remembered the ideal girl thing* ah, hai
Konoka: Really?
Mika: Yep, how about you come over to my place when you’re not busy
Konoka: OH! How about right now? I don’t have any schedule for today
Mika: okay then, I’ll text you the address
Konoka: Okay then, thank you so much Mika-chan!
Mika: You’re welcome ^^ *hangs up*

*End of Phone Convo*

After Mika texted her address to Konoka, she continued her way. She settled what she bought at the counter and moments later, DING DONG... her door bell rang, she went to the door and opened it and it was Konoka

“Come in” she said as she let Konoka enter her apartment, “Wow, your apartment is so cute!” Konoka proclaimed, “Thanks (^^)” Mika responded, Konoka sat down at the living room while Mika prepared some juice for them. She sat down on the single couch and gave Konoka a glass of juice

“Ah, thank you ^^” said Konoka and Mika smiled at her, Konoka took a sip of her juice and “So... what is his ideal type?” she asked as she was really interested to know “Uh... Kira said that he would like a girl who...” said Mika as she remembered what Kira said

“Me? I’m just looking for someone who is real with their feelings, someone who doesn’t know how to give up on me especially with this attitude of mine...” –Kira

“Someone who is real with their feelings and someone who doesn’t know how to give up on him especially with that attitude of his...” said Mika “That’s it?” asked Konoka and Mika nodded her head, “Omo, it’s not that difficult at all ^^” said Konoka and Mika just smiled at her, then Konoka noticed the ingredients on the counter, “What are those?” she asked “I’m making chocolates later since it’s valentine’s day tomorrow” Mika replied “Eh? You make your own chocolates?” asked Konoka and Mika nodded her head “It’s more special if the girl makes the chocolate for the guy rather than buying it from some store” she added, Konoka suddenly felt guilty because that is what she usually does, then...

“Do you want to make one for Kira? I’ll be glad to help” Mika offered. “Really? Thank you so much Mika-chan!” Konoka proclaimed as she suddenly hugged Mika, while Konoka was hugging her, Mika couldn’t believe what she was doing... she likes Kira but is also helping Konoka-chan in getting Kira’s heart but she didn’t bother to entertain that kind of feeling any longer, moments later, they began making the chocolates but...

“Here” Konoka said as she let Mika taste what she did, when Mika tasted the chocolate, she felt like throwing up “It’s bitter” she said, “Eh??” Konoka said then she did another one “Too sweet” and did another one “Why do I feel like it’s not chocolate?” and another one “It’s... salty?” Mika wondered as she was shocked of how the chocolate tasted, and another one but Mika didn’t approve of the taste. “Argsh! No matter how hard I try, I still don’t know how to cook!” Konoka proclaimed, Mika felt a little bad for her then she thought of something

30 minutes later, “Here they are” she said as she took out some fresh chocolates and gave one to Konoka, when Konoka tasted it

“YUMMY!” she proclaimed, “Delicious right?” asked Mika and Konoka nodded her head while enjoying the taste of the chocolate, “You give these to Kira” said Mika “Eh? I can’t, they’re-” “I insist” said Mika “Uh” said Konoka as she looked at Mika then, she suddenly hugged her

“Thank you!” she proclaimed and repeated it for ten times. Mika smiled and said “You’re welcome (^^)” at around 2PM, Konoka left Mika’s apartment and she took the chocolates with her “Thank you again!” she proclaimed, “M-hm, may you have a happy valentine’s day tomorrow” said Mika “Same with you and your boyfriend! Well, I’ll be going now, bye~” said Konoka and she left. “Uh? Boyfriend... heh” said Mika then she went back to the kitchen and started making the chocolates.

            The next day, “VALENTINE’S DAY!” Daisuke and Jin proclaimed as it woke all of the members up “Uh?” they said. They had a fan meeting at a hotel where their fans gave them a lot of chocolates; they thanked them and performed for them. After the two hours fan meet, “Omo, there are so many chocolates!” Daisuke proclaimed, “I know right? How are we suppose to eat them?” said Hiro then, “Yah where’s Mika-chan? She’s supposed to give us chocolates right?” said Jin “Uh, you’re right” said Miharu then...

“I gave her a day off” Tanaka inserted, “WHAT!?” the others cried, “Well it is Valentine’s Day and since she has a boyfriend, I gave her a day off to spend time with him” said Tanaka “EH!?” they cried again but Tanaka just ignored them.

In Mika’s case, she was sitting on the bench at the park while waiting for Syuu, she kept thinking about what to say

Mika’s POV

I wonder how am I going to tell it to Syuu-nii; he’s been so nice to me as a best friend and a boyfriend but... I really don’t have that kind of feelings for him. I feel really nervous right now... what if he’ll hate me because I didn’t accept his feelings for me? Darn it... I also can’t say that I’ll like him too; it’ll only make things worse for me and for him... I have to be true about how I feel... just like what Chizu said... Follow your heart... I’ll follow my heart...
-END of POV-

Suddenly, “Mika!” Syuu called, Mika turned to him and she saw him running towards her “Syuu-nii” she said, Syuu then sat next to her “Happy Valentine’s Day ^^” he greeted, “Uh, right back at you” Mika replied and there was a silence between them, then...

“So... Mika” said Syuu, “Ah, before I forget...” Mika said as she was looking for something in her bag, then “Here” she said as she gave Syuu a box of chocolates “Thank you ^^” said Syuu “I bet they’re delicious” he added. “Uh” said Mika and she just smiled, then...

“Mika... I know that I shouldn’t rush you but... I really want to know already” said Syuu “Uh” said Mika, she was feeling nervous. She didn’t know where to start, she was wondering if she’ll say it straight to the point or not, she didn’t want Syuu to get hurt, but then...

“Mika, before you say something... maybe you should hear me out first” said Syuu “Uh” said Mika as she turned to him, “To tell you the truth, I never expected that I would have these feelings for you... when I met you, I thought that you were really cute, when I got to know you more, you became like a little sister to me and a best friend but as we got closer to each other, I didn’t realize that I was slowly falling for you until... you became close with the other guys from Boyfriend... I was happy because you gained new friends, I even played cupid for a while because I thought that you and Kira looked cute together but... while I was playing cupid, I was also slowly getting hurt until... I finally realized how I like you more than just a friend... that’s why right now... even if you don’t accept my feelings for you, I want you to know that my feelings for you won’t change... even if you say that you like someone else... it’s okay for me... so please... just be true to your feelings, okay?” said Syuu. Mika felt relieved after Syuu said those words to her, she felt a warm and happy feeling inside and she was ready to tell him her answer

“Syuu-nii” she said and Syuu turned to her “I’m really happy because I’ve met someone like you, I’m happy because we became best friends and because of you, I was able to make friends with Jun-kun and Ami-chan... I owe you a lot for becoming by brother as well, always taking care of me and always worrying for me. I even thank you because although we were just pretending to be in a relationship, I actually felt that I had a real boyfriend especially after telling me that you have feelings for me... and I thank you for that” said Mika “Uh” said Syuu “But... I have to be honest, I... I don’t feel the same way... I know that I almost had feelings for you but something stopped me and I don’t know what... I’m sorry Syuu-nii; I can’t say the same for you... I’m really sorry” said Mika “Mika...” said Syuu then he smiled and looked up

“I never knew that getting rejected could hurt this much” he added, “G-Gomen” said Mika “It’s okay... you were being honest with me. *Sigh* It’s Valentine’s Day but we’re breaking up... it doesn’t sound happy at all” said Syuu “Uh” said Mika and she kept quiet “But... I’m still happy for you, I guess you can finally tell Kira-kun how much you like him huh” said Syuu “E-EH?” Mika said as she turned to him, “Mika, please... you’ve mentioned that something was stopping you, I actually believe it was someone and that someone is Kira-kun... you like him, I know” said Syuu “Syuu-nii” said Mika “If I were you, I better go tell him now... don’t hesitate or you’ll end up like me...” said Syuu “Uh” said Mika, Syuu then stood up “Well, I better get back to the shop... there are a lot of couples there today” he said “See you later at 4 30” he added, he was about to leave when suddenly Mika hugged him from behind “Uh?” “Arigatou Syuu-nii, Hontou ni arigatou! You’re the best!” said Mika, Syuu smiled and he turned to her and also hugged her

“I know and... you’re always welcome (^^)” he said, both of them let go and Syuu ruffled her hair, “Now go and tell him how you like him” he said, “Heh... it’s not that easy you know” said Mika “Trust me...it’ll be easy” said Syuu “Uh?” Mika wondered, “Well, see ya!” Syuu said as he bade Mika good bye and left. Mika felt happy because everything went well, she checked her phone and there were a lot of missed calls from Kira and the others “Uh?” she wondered. She decided to text Tanaka...

“Uh?” Tanaka wondered as she received the message, she read it and replied

Mika didn’t bother to reply next, instead she decided to call Chizu but then, “They’re probably on a date since its Valentine’s Day, oh well... I guess I’ll just go back to my apartment” she said to herself.

            In Syuu’s case, he was looking at the necklace that he bought for Mika when she lost her necklace, he also remembered what Mika said about giving it to his special someone “How I really wanted to give you this, but I guess I can’t...” he said, suddenly... “Syuu-nii!” Hana called, Syuu turned to her and saw her running towards him “Uh?” Syuu wondered, “Hana... what are you doing here?” he asked, “I’m supposed to ask you that question; why aren’t you with Mika-nee?” asked Hana “Oh... Mika and I broke up” said Syuu “EH!? On a Valentine’s Day? Omo, Syuu-nii how can you do that... you do realize that relationships are suppose to be taken seriously and-” “Hana, I know that... I’ll tell you what actually happened okay? Now tell me, why are you here? Don’t you have any class?” asked Syuu “It’s my break, anyway, I came here to give this to you (^^)” Hana said as she gave Syuu a box of chocolates, “Aww, that’s so sweet of you!” Syuu said as he received the chocolates then he suddenly hugged Hana “Yah nii-chan!” Hana proclaimed while Syuu was hugging her, “Why? Can’t I hug my sister? Haha, anyway... to whom are you going to give the other one?” Syuu asked as he spotted another box inside Hana’s sling bag, “I-It’s a secret” Hana said while blushing and hiding the box, “Eh? You’re going to give that to Miharu-kun right? Tch, Hana... I know you have that idol crush thing on him but... I really don’t trust him that well” said Syuu “Argsh, stop acting like a protective brother” Hana said as she pushed Syuu away from her and she started to run, “Yah Hana!” Syuu called, Hana looked back at him and she stuck her tongue out while making the sound “Bleh :P” and continued running “Argsh, that kid” said Syuu.

It was already 3PM and Tanaka texted Mika that they were already at the studio, Mika quickly changed, grabbed her bag and the chocolates that were in the fridge then left.

In the boys’ case, “Tell me again why we’re here?” Daisuke asked as he was getting impatient. “Relax hot head, you guys want to see Mika-chan right?” said Tanaka “She’s coming?” asked Hiro but Tanaka just smiled at them, then “Uh... I have to go down” Kira said as he stood up “Why?” asked Yuki but Kira didn’t reply he quickly went downstairs “Uh” said the others. 5 minutes later...

“Konnichiwa~” Mika greeted as she entered the practice room “Mika-chan!” all of them said as they stood up and went near her, “What’s wrong with you? How dare you ditch us and go on a date with Takashi-kun! (=3=)” Daisuke pouted, “Heh... it is Valentine’s Day” said Mika “Hmmm (-_-)” said Daisuke, then “Yah, where’s our chocolate? We’ve been waiting for you all day long just to receive your chocolates!” Jin proclaimed, “Well you see I...” Mika said as she pretended to be sad, “Don’t tell me you didn’t make one for us! (>.<)” Jin cried, Mika suddenly smiled and said “Here” she started giving out her chocolates, “Aww, she did make one for us!” Hiro proclaimed, “Arigatou Mika-chan (^^)” said Miharu “You’re welcome (:” Mika replied, the five of them opened the boxes and when they tasted it

“YUM!” they proclaimed in unison. “It’s yummy, thank you Mika-chan!” said Yuki and Mika just smiled at them, Mika then noticed that there was one box left in her bag “Uh?” she wondered then she realized that Kira wasn’t around

“Where’s Kira?” she asked, “He went down for a while but he’ll be back” Jin answered while eating the chocolate, “I’ll just go give this to him before it melts” Mika said as she left the practice room and went downstairs

“Mika-chan also made chocolates for Kira, how cute (^^)” said Daisuke “Uh” said Miharu as he suddenly remembered something, then he smiled.
“By the way, Mika-chan seems pretty happy right now... did something happen between her and Takashi-kun?” asked Hiro “Tch, I bet they went on a very romantic date that’s why Mika-chan’s like that” Daisuke murmured. Yuki suddenly remembered what Mika said to him when they were camping
“Uh... they broke up” he said “EH?” the others heard him and they turned to him.

In Mika’s case, she was looking for Kira

“Where did that egghead go? Tch” she said

She continued to look around until, “U-uh?” she said as she saw Kira and Konoka hugging right in front of her eyes, she suddenly felt like a bullet was shot straight to her heart, she immediately hid herself behind a wall while holding her chest

“I... I...” she said, tears suddenly fell from her eyes... seeing them hug, she never expected for that to happen

“I...” she said.

Mika finally realized that she likes Kira but what's this? Why is Kira hugging Konoka? What will happen to Mika?
