In the operating room

“Add more voltage!” the main surgeon ordered, the nurses scurried to do so.

“Clear!”

No response.

“We’re losing her!” a nurse shouted. The line on the EKG began to straighten out, the EKG itself beeping furiously

“No we have to try once more” the main surgeon said

“Voltage to the maximum” the nurse said

“Please….Clear!” he closed his eyes for a second and proceeded once more

“Her pulse is rising!” the technician excitedly shouted. A sigh of relief came from everyone in the room.

“Okay good, let’s keep working everyone. The bleeding has stopped so we can stitch up the wound and run some tests” the main surgeon went back to work, sewing up the wound on Taeyeon’s shoulder

Outside of the operating room

Tiffany and Yuri had been waiting for more than 3 hours and no one has come out of the operating room, only a few surgeons rushing in. Tiffany had heard the voices of the surgeons earlier but all the noises were gone.

“Don’t die…..” Tiffany silently sobbed

Yuri patted her shoulder and smiled at her.

“She’ll make it. She’s strong” Yuri tried to reassure her but honestly, Yuri was worried too. Taeyeon had been injured countless times before and because of that, the after effects were building up. She’s lost so much blood that she might actually die.

“She can’t leave me” Tiffany cried

“She won’t” Yuri said again.

A surgeon walked out of the operating room toward Tiffany and Yuri.

“How is she?” Yuri asked

“She’s-“ he began

“Don’t tell me she’s dead, doctor, you have to save her” Tiffany begged

“Miss, she’s fine now”

“What?” Tiffany instantly looked up

“I said she’s fine now. Her pulse has returned to normal but I do suggest she stay here for a few days so we can make sure the blood we gave her doesn’t give her any problems” he took off his surgical mask

“Thank you thank you thank you” Tiffany began to cry again, out of happiness.

“You can see her once the nurses take her to the room” he said and walked away

“See? She’s okay now, don’t cry” Yuri smiled at Tiffany

“Y…yeah I guess” Tiffany sniffed

“I’m sure Taeng does not want to see you like that” Yuri teased

“You’re right” Tiffany wiped her tears away and flashed her eye smile

“That’s way better, let’s go see her”

“Okay” Tiffany nodded and followed Yuri
