Time: The Abandoned One, July 2, 2010

The divorce of my parents led to my mom drinking a lot when she comes home and swearing and shouting. She also shouts at me and sometimes at herself. I felt lonely but I know that Yoongi Oppa is always here with me.

I heard footsteps approaching the front door, I stood infront of the door. The door opened and I greeted my mother. 

"Hi mommy," 

She glared at me and walked past me to the kitchen and grabbed herself a bottle of liquor.

I locked the front door and ran up to my room.

I put a blanket on me and watched cartoons instead. Tears streaming down my face.

Does mommy not love me anymore? Does she hate me so much that she doesn't even want to say hi to me? I'm a good kid, right?

I was crying so much that Husky was drenched.

"Shh, it's going to be okay, " Yoongi said as he wrapped his arms around me. 

The next morning, I was woken up by my mom. I rubbed my eyes and felt very confused.

She was smiling at me, and she was all dressed up.

"Hi baby, we're going out somewhere okay? Now hurry up and take a shower and brush your teeth," she said and left.

I hurriedly took a shower, got changed, and brushed my teeth. I went downstairs and saw her at the kitchen table with breakfast ready.

I was so moved that she was back to herself again. I hugged her, grabbed my seat, and ate quickly. 

I wonder where we're going? I hope it's Disneyland or the arcade. Or the park. Or the beach. Or anywhere nice just so I can be with my mom.

I sat in the backseat and put my seat belt on.

My mom in driver seat asked me, "are you excited?"

I nodded happily and asked, "where are we going mom?"

"It's a surprise,"

That made me think of more possible locations we were going to.

It was a long drive and I felt my excitement slowly fading. We stopped at an adoption center.

Why are we here?

I stared out the car window and saw children of different ages playing together. I was too busy looking at the children having fun that I didn't notice my mother leave the car. I hurriedly unbuckled my seatbelt and ran up to her.

My mother smiled widely at me and held my hand as we entered the center. A woman at the front desk greeted us.

"Good afternoon, Ma'am! How may I help you? Are you adopting a child?" 

"Honey, Pam, go sit there for a moment," 

I sat on one of the chairs and looked around the room. I fell asleep. I woke up and saw the woman at the front desk shaking my arm.

"Pam, you're going to be living with us!" She told me.

I just stared at her. Has this woman gone insane?

"Where's my mother?"

"She left hours ago. She brought your suitcase. Follow me, I'll be showing you to your room,"

I followed the strange woman and felt confused.

She's probably going to come pick me up later. I want to go home.

We arrived at a room and there were 3 girls.

"Hi girls!" The woman greeted them.

"Hey!"

"Hello,"

"Sup,"

"This is Pam, she's going to be staying with us starting today,"

They all stared at me. 

"Pam, this is Sophia, Emma, and Olivia,"

I waved at them.

"They will be your roommates. Go in and unpack," 

The strange woman left us and I awkwardly entered the room. 

"Um. Which one is my bed?" I asked.

"Bottom bunk on the left," Sophia answered.

"Thank you,"

I took out Husky and was about to sleep.

"Yo, new girl! You sleeping already? It's almost dinnertime," 

"I'm good," 

I ignored them and fell asleep.

Morning came and I felt horrible. I want to escape this place. 

"How are you doing?" I turned around and saw Yoongi oppa.

I quickly hugged him. The door suddenly opened and the strange woman entered.

"What are you doing?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm hugging Yoongi oppa," I said.

"Holy! Are you a psychic? There's no one there," her face turned red and her eyes were wide.

"You must be blind," I muttered under my breath.

The 3 girls entered the room and saw us. 

"What's going on here?" Emma asked.

"You guys have to leave," she pushed them out and left me alone. She locked the door. 

What the? Why did she lock me in?

"Yoongi oppa, are you real? 

His eyes grew wide and he looked flustered.

"Yeah, you see I'm your guardian angel," he rubbed the back of his neck. 

"What?"

"You're the only one that can see me," he smiled.

"Whoa. That's...... cool!" I smiled back.

"I feel sad. She left me here. I was hoping for her to come back," 

"Don't worry, I totally understand," he told me.

After a few minutes of sitting in total silence, the doorknob jiggled and in came the strange woman and a strange man.

"Is this your husband?" I asked.

"No, sweetie. This is Dr. Smith a psychologist," she explained.

"Is he going to adopt me or something?" 

"No, he just wants to talk," then she left the room and left me with the strange man.

"How are you?" He asked me.

"I'm fine," I held Yoongi oppa's hand.

"She told me that you have an invisible friend,"

"I have a guardian angel," I smiled at the man.

"Guardian angel?"

"Yeah, Yoongi oppas says that I'm the only one that can see him,"

"Hmm... is he here right now?"

I nodded, "he's beside me."

"Thank you, dear for having this chat with me," then he left.

The strange lady came back and asked me to pack my stuff.

"Tonight you'll be sleeping alone because tomorrow you're going somewhere early,"

"Goodnight,"

Alone and cold. Good thing, I have Yoongi with me.

Tomorrow seems so far away.
