psychotic's note: yes.. this was created last MAY 18.... since the contest this story was joined to is over, I think I can share it here already.. wahaha.. and since I really at writing Playful Kiss-related things like this, it turned out to be another nonsense story with so many grammar errors and what-not :D

Ha Ni         Spring time.       I happily went out of our room to knock on our daughter’s.        “Are you ready?” I asked cute little Seung Ha once I popped my head on her door.       The four-year old kid smiled and hopped towards me.       “Park! Park!” she constantly yelled in my arms.       I laughed at her as we made our way towards the door of our own house.           Our own family’s house.           Me, my husband, and of course, our daughter. It’s been three years since we moved out from his family’s house to start on our own. Everyone agreed to it since we already had Seung Ha back then. We didn’t want to burden anyone by asking to look over for her when it should be our main responsibility for our child.       Today is my day-off from the hospital so I asked her nanny to take a day off from taking care of her. I promised I would take her to the amusement park. She was very happy.       I texted Seung Jo to tell him we were on our way. He replied with a simple ‘I’ll be there once my shift is over’ and I just smiled to it.       “Daddy will come?” my daughter asked after I fixed her to the passenger’s seat.       I smiled and nodded at her. “We’ll have mother-and-daughter bonding first, right baby? Before daddy joins us.”  “Yes!! I love you, mommy.” She leaned forward and gave me a peck on my lips.           Just like what his dad does.           No wonder she is his daughter.           *****           We sat on a bench nearby the food stalls when we both agreed that we’re so tired from playing around. Seung Jo said he’ll be a little late but he’s on his way.        “Do you want to eat something, baby?”        “Ice cream!!!” she gladly replied.       How come she still has lots of energy within her when here I am, already exhausted? But it didn’t matter. Her smile was enough to drive my tiredness away.       I stood up and walked towards the ice cream stall. “Give me one, please,” I told the vendor.       As made my way back to the bench, my daughter wasn’t there. “Baby?” I looked around only to find no sign of her.       I began feeling nervous.       I wandered everywhere around the area. I was sure the ice cream already melted inside the plastic that I was holding. Where was my daughter?           My precious daughter!           I walked in an empty alley. It was kinda dark and it was creepy. I had goosebumps when I heard footsteps behind me.        “Seung Ha?” I asked as I turned around, thinking the footsteps belonged to the little girl.       Yet the shadow I saw was too big for a little girl. “Seung Jo?” I asked again when I realized the shadow belongs to a man.       But my nervousness intensified when the unknown man showed himself and made sure he attacked me forcefully.       I shouted for help but he covered my mouth with his one hand as the other hand started tearing the cloth over my shoulder. He held my arm with a great power. It was getting painful by the minute but I couldn’t stay helpless. My daughter, she needs me! I need to find her!       I bit the palm that was on my mouth which made him remove it. I raised my knee to hit him where it hurts the most.       He groaned and held that part in pain. I took this opportunity to run from him.        “I SWEAR! I’M GONNA GET YOU AGAIN, LADY!!” I heard him shout at me.       I didn’t dare look back as I ran as fast as I could.        “Ha Ni!!” someone called.       I turned around recognizing that voice. “Seung Jo.”       I was very happy seeing Seung Ha was on his arms, sleeping with her head on his shoulders.       When I saw them, all I wanted was to feel the warmth of their bodies protecting me from what I just experienced. To have the assurance that I was safe from any harm.       But what I received was way more painful.        “What were you thinking leaving her like that?! I saw her on a bench and she said you went to buy her food. Are you out of your mind? You could have just brought her with you!!” he yelled.   “What if she got kidnapped from there? You know how dangerous it is for children to be left alone, yet you dared leave your daughter!!”       I locked my sight on the ground before the tears came out – I didn’t want him to see them. “I—I’m sorry. I—I got lost on my way back and I couldn’t remember where—”       “Got lost, huh?” he chortled. “You really amuse me, Oh Ha Ni. You amuse me by showing how stupid you could get.”       ‘How STUPID you could get,’ repeated my mind.       Yes, how could I forget? In his eyes, I’m still the stupid Oh Ha Ni who knows nothing aside from chasing him around.       My head remained low as I continued crying silently.       He began walking towards the car and I followed him without any word of defending myself. My tongue didn’t have the courage of confessing about the incident just now. I wiped my tears before he could see them flowing.        “I’ll sit on the back with her,” I informed once he was done placing Seung Ha in the back seat.       He muttered, “Whatever,” before going to the driver’s seat.       I put Seung Ha’s head on my lap and caressed her hair.           Beautiful.           I submissively smiled at her.
