Life Couldn't Get BetterRyeowook's POV ~
Walking beside Eunhyuk, Ryeowook felt really uncomfortable and he could sense that the other did, too. It was their first time being alone since Eunhyuk found out about Ryeowook and Donghae, and so speaking casually like nothing had happened felt quite odd and out of place. That’s why most of their way to the nearby park, they just had been silent. Of course Ryeowook knew exactly what he wanted to say. But he decided that he needed to gather some more courage to force himself to speak.
But when they finally made it to the park and sat on the bench, Ryeowook realized that he couldn’t avoid speaking anymore.
“Eunhyuk, I’m sorry.”
He felt at least a little relieved when instead of frowning or slapping him, Eunhyuk smiled. “It’s okay.”
“But…”
“No.” Eunhyuk looked at him seriously and shook his head. “I don’t want to talk about this anymore.”
Ryeowook knew he should just accept it, but he didn’t want the thing between him and Eunhyuk to stay silent. “I want us to still be friends. I know it’s stupid after everything and…”
He almost jumped out of his skin when suddenly Eunhyuk ruffled his hair. “We are friends.”
Ryeowook blinked in surprise. “We are?”
“Of course we are.”
“But Yesung thinks it’s all my fault, too, not only Donghae’s. He refuses to talk to me.”
“It’s not your fault. I mean, it is, but…” Eunhyuk laughed sheepishly at his own words. Then he looked at Ryeowook one more time, making sure the other understood what he wanted to say. “Look, everything’s just so ty these days. Yesung’s not talking to you, Heechul’s avoiding Hankyung, Sungmin’s always only by Kangin’s side so he doesn’t have to talk to those two. And we all used to be good friends… You know, I think we simply have to forget about all of it. Because pretending that nothing happened onstage and then avoid each other, it can’t do us any good.”
Ryeowook more or less agreed with Eunhyuk. What’s more, he was impressed that it was Eunhyuk saying those words. A
