It's really just a Minstal chapter (last one, btw) to clear up some info

[ Luna ]

Luna grunted as she dropped Onew's limp body onto the couch. Jonghyun stared, openmouthed (which wasn't very attractive since a piece of beef was hanging from his tongue).

"What happened to-?"

"Don't ask, or I'll do the same thing to you," Luna spat, crossing her arms.

Onew pulled back from her lips, and Luna didn't miss the way the moist skin lingered against hers for a few seconds before they were actually apart. She stared, wide-eyed, at the beaming Onew. He looked infuriatingly proud of himself.

"You just . . ."

"Was that your first kiss?" Onew blurted out, suddenly shocked and horrified. "I'm so sorry if it is! I just thought - it was the right moment and - I mean you were so close and you looked so pretty and -" Okay, this was getting to be too much.

He pitched forward as Luna's eyes twitched, and she caught him expectantly. She hadn't actually planned on knocking him out, but she was in a daze at the moment, and the only thing she could really think of doing was draining his energy. She fanned herself, supporting Onew's weight with one arm as she looked around in disbelief. Did he really just steal her first kiss?

"You jerk," she hissed, but she looked up, not able to stare at Onew's face (even when he was unconscious) because her gaze kept falling upon his perfectly plump limps. Damn him. Did she drain some energy out of herself? Because she felt really breathless at the moment. And hot. Luna groaned with annoyance as she lugged Onew's body towards the nearest house.

"Stupid, hormonal boy," she blamed bitterly.

 

"What did he do to you?" Jonghyun asked slowly.

"I can see what you did to him," Xiumin snickered, coming out from the bathroom. He opened up the fridge and tossed Luna a cold beer. She stared at it wordlessly before pressing the cold surgace against Onew's head. He would need it when he woke up, if she didn't break the bottle across his skull first. "Did the mouse tease the kitten?"

Luna gave him a dull stare that translated simply to Call me kitten one more time and your will end up like his. She pressed a finger to her lower lip self consciously, wondering why Onew did that. It wasn't in the naive way that most girls in the stories thought, as in, Why did he kiss me? He can't possibly like me! I don't kno~w! Luna knew that there had been something going on between them at one point, and she was embarrassed to admit that it was mutual feeling.

But she was thinking, What the hell did he think he was doing? At a time like this? Luna glanced down at Onew, who moaned in pain and furrowed his brows, turning away from the beer and pushing himself into the couch cushions. She let a small smirk grace her lips as she watched him before she sighed. No, this wouldn't do. They basically had a world to save; they couldn't let this childish attraction get in the way. Right?

Luna stood from the couch and jerked her thumb towards Onew.

"If he remembers anything, tell him to shove it up his-"

"I got it, I got it!" both Jonghyun and Xiumin shouted in unison. They looked worriedly at the passed out blond on the couch. Luna smiled as sweetly as possible, waving once, and left the house. She saw Sulli walking back and forth through a window of one of the houses and decided to room with her. When the taller girl answered the door, she looked behind Luna expectantly.

"Sorry to disappoint. Just me."

"Ah, sorry, but Krystal said she would come over to hang with me after she found out what happened to her sister. But I saw my brother walk in after her, so I guess they're a little preoccupied." Sulli rolled her eyes, muttering things about the two hurrying it up already with the confessions. She glanced at Luna. "And you too!"

"What?"

"With our leader. Duh."

"Uhh . . ."

Sulli rolled her eyes again, more exasperated. "Nevermind. You're all hopeless. I better get the details about Jessica tomorrow or I will strangle Minho." Luna shook her head, baffled, and followed Sulli into the house. She bowed politely to the three girls sitting on the living room floor. They were eating snacks of all sorts. Luna memorized their names to the best of her abilities, trying to match it to the faces. Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sunny. She remembered Sunny from the bonfire, and was flustered to realize that it reminded her of Onew.

And what happened at the bonfire.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid jerk!" she wailed, stomping towards the guest room.

"Ignore her. Boy problems, probably," she heard Sulli assure the other girls, but she chose to ignore it.

Luna let her knees hit the edge of the mattress so she could fall unceremoniously onto the bed. She flailed around for a good twenty seconds and ended up facing the ceiling, panting angrily. Do not think about him. Not his eyes. Which go all small when he smiles. Not his smile. Which is framed by those flawless lips. Not his lips. Which stole my first-

"All I see is murder," Luna whispered to herself, although she knew she was lying. All she could see was Onew (more than usual, she admitted to herself). He had ruined everything. Had he simply kept to himself and stayed quiet about whatever was happening between them, they probably could have saved the world a lot easier. Luna rubbed her eyes in exasperation; she had no idea what was going to happen if - when - they ran into each other tomorrow.

Her eyes closed and she repeated the sentence like a mantra in her head.

You do not care about Onew. You do not care about Onew. You do not care . . .
 

[ Onew ]

"Crap," Onew whispered as soon as he opened his eyes. He squinted away from the sunlight that filtered in through the windows. "How the hell is there sunlight underground?"

"Baekhyun. Light," Xiumin explained from the desk chair. He scooped a spoon of his breakfast into his mouth. His cat-like eyes blinked at Onew. Beside him, Jonghyun rested atop the desk, leaning forward with his elbows against his knees. "So. You remember?"

Onew flushed red and bowed his head in shame. Yes, he did remember. He was ashamed of his actions, but he honestly didn't regret them.

"You must have really screwed up, hyung," Jonghyun sighed in shame, shaking his head. "Luna seemed really pissed."

Onew could tell by the way she knocked him out with her powers. He hadn't expected it, but suddenly the feeling had gone out of his legs and then it felt like his brain was being drained.

"What did you do?"

"What did I do?" Onew wondered aloud, sitting up and rubbing his face. Why had he even done that? He could have sworn he felt Luna kiss back, just for a second, before he had pulled away. Onew wanted to slap himself. He shouldn't have pulled away! Maybe he would have still been conscious if he had stayed there. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he glanced at the other guys, who were waiting expectantly for an answer. "I kissed her."
 

"Yup, you screwed up big time," Jonghyun deadpanned. Onew's smile fell. "What? I mean, come on, Onew, it was obvious that Luna wasn't exactly ecstatic. I mean, we saw a little electricity between you guys, sure. Trust me, I'm an electricity manipulator. But she just met her long-lost twin and found out - what - that her brother died and she has to figure out how to go to America. Not the best timing."

Onew gaped at Jonghyun, wanting to protest but having nothing to say.

"Dude, I barely know you, and I agree," Xiumin piped in. Onew glowered at the two as they exchanged high fives. "Rice is waiting for you on the table! Don't ask how we get our supplies, by the way. Let's just say it's not legally."

Onew hadn't planned on asking, and frankly, he didn't care. As long as he got to eat and sleep, he was happy. He trudged to the kitchen and plopped down at the end of the table. Sighing, he picked up his chopsticks, digging into the plain meal.

"Oh, and Luna said if you remember anything"- Onew's head snapped up instantly, eager -"to shove it up your - well - you know." His head fell again. Maybe he did mess it all up. He hadn't been thinking, really. All he saw was Luna's face just so close to his, and he was sort of sick of the questionable flirting. Had it even been flirting? Before he could stress himself into a panic, Onew scarfed down the rest of his breakfast and stood up.

He should probably talk to her about it now and not extend time until the inevitable.

When he walked out the door, he saw that Xiumin was dragging Jonghyun towards a large field of crops. A few of the Specials stood along the edge of the plants, helping to grow the food and resources.  Onew realized that there was some sort of system for each power, and they all contributed to helping the Specials survive underground.

"Hey, assbucket," Luna's grumpy voice sounded. Onew whirled around, meeting her unwavering glare. Well, at least she wasn't ignoring him.

"Assbucket?"

"It's a word I made up for jerks who steal first kisses."

Onew gulped and felt only a tiny bit guilty, because he truthfully felt awesome knowing that he had been her first kiss.

"Listen, I don't know what came to your mind, but-" Luna broke off, staring at the ground intensely. "I just - I mean what I'm saying is - okay, that was totally not cool."

"I know," Onew agreed gently, "but I wasn't thinking that it would ruin things." Ruin what, exactly? He pondered that. Was he talking about their relationship or their mission? "I thought that we could manage . . . everything."

"Everything," Luna repeated in a flat and dubious tone. She looked up at him through her eyelashes (in a way that was more belittling than endearing). "What exactly are you trying to imply?"

"I'm not implying anything. I like you," Onew blurted. He was doing that a lot lately, saying things he shouldn't out of the blue. He closed his eyes and cursed himself mentally. Why did he always choose the worst times? When he reopened his eyes, he couldn't help but be slightly pleased while noticing the faint blush that dusted Luna's cheeks, despite her still hard-set expression.

She wasn't saying anything in return.

Onew wasn't expecting an echo of his confession, but he was hoping that she would at least respond. He even anticipated her knocking him out again, but she did no such thing. Instead, her lips curled back in an expression of bewilderment and distaste.

"I . . . can't," she breathed, turning around and walking towards the bonfire where everyone was gathering at. Onew frowned, hand darting out to grab her by the wrist. He immediately pulled back since he didn't want to appear too aggressive, but Luna seemed unaffected. Instead, her look was almost pitying as she turned to stare at him. "I have a lot on my plate, and I don't mean this badly but - you're just another piece on it that I can't handle."

Ouch. How could he not take that badly?

Onew nodded once in an attempt to keep a firm expression before he brushed past her to get to the bonfire first.

 

Was that technically a rejection? Thoughts like this ran through Onew's mind as they settled around the unlit bonfire. No one bothered lighting it up since Baekhyun's artificial sunlight lasted them a while to follow the day. Onew could hear him bragging to Key about how he had to make sure that the sun was up when it had to be (with the help of Tao the "timekeeper" of their group).

"Dumped?" Jonghyun chirped as he plopped down next to Onew. The latter met Luna's gaze across the pit but they both quickly looked away.

"Well, I can't really be dumped if we were never together." Jonghyun raised his eyebrows pointedly at his leader. Onew cursed him to the depths of hell. "Yes, damn it, I was - technically, okay, technically - dumped. Happy?" Jonghyun pouted and wrapped an arm around his leader.

"I'm never happy when my leader isn't!"

"Liar. You're happiest when I'm not."

"True. But that's a whole different case," Jonghyun assured him, although it made no sense in Onew's opinion. "Listen, hyung, I'll give you the best advice, since you know how great I am with the ladies." Onew rolled his eyes. "Just continue on like nothing happened. Keep helping us get to America and bring up the Specials, but make sure Luna knows what she's missing out on. Then she'll come crawling back to you."

Onew grimaced. "What do you mean?"

"That's up to you, Onew! Make her jealous. Act all sweet and greasy, like you were before, but then act like it's nothing so she can be confused."

"That honestly sounds very confusing and irritating," Onew sighed, trying to shove Jonghyun's arm off, but the shorter man only tightened his grip."

"Yeah, I know, but trust me, the ladies love it." Jonghyun grinned at Onew, and the latter couldn't help but return the smile. He glanced over to Luna again, who was staring at her lap (in other words, obviously trying to avoid looking at him). If the ladies loved it, then maybe Luna could love him? Onew let out another sigh, looking over at Jonghyun warily. Sure, his friend wasn't as much of a ladies' man as he claimed, more of an unsuccessful player, but he was better with girls than Onew was.

Maybe he could try it.

Surprise with the double update!!!

I wasn't satisfied with the Minstal updates since I had so many moments for their own story

This new Mac is AWESOME but it changes the layout for typing on asianfanfics and it's REALLY ANNOYING

I'm trying to get used to it :(

And is anyone else getting those annoying redirects from this website right now?

When I'm on mobile, it keeps sending me to different websites or the app store!!!

I hope it's not just me.


Anyways, tell me if the chapter was too BLEH

because I put a lot of fluffiness into this one

I'm cringing myself >.<

I'm usually a little off when writing fluff, which is why my stories always have to have a sort of intense plot hehe

And Jonghyun's album BASE is so goooood! I HAVEN'T EVEN FANGIRLED YET RIGHT?!1!?!

To be honest, that type of music genre isn't my style, but it's Jjong

I mostly love his talented voice, like his live singing for Hallelujah GOSH

(hidden Jongyu at the end there btw, MWUAHAHA)
