A Surprise Crash
Cafe LuloSung Yeol slammed his hand on the steering wheel as he realized that the traffic was really bad.
"," he cursed.
In order to lighten up the mood, Krystal asked,
"So," she smiled, "Tell me about yourself."
"Why?" he asked.
"Well, if we've gotta make this believeable, I gotta know some things about you. Favorite food, color?"
"Oh," Sung Yeol nodded, "I see now."
"Favorite food."
"Hmm," Sung Yeol thought for a second, "Well, I really like pizza."
"That's so boring!" Krystal remarked.
"What? It is my favorite food."
"Fine," Krystal rolled her eyes, "Favorite girl group."
"Uh," Sung Yeol smirked to himself, "You're gonna hate me for saying this because it's such a typical answer."
"Lemme guess," she sighed, "Girls Generation?"
Sung Yeol nodded.
"Favorite member?"
"Jessica."
"Typical. Okay, how about---"
Sung Yeol raised a hand to stop her.
"My turn."
"Okay," Krystal accepted.
"If you could go back in time, when would it be and why?"
"Deep question," Krystal acknowledged.
"I like to believe that I'm quite the intelligent one."
"Well," Krystal sighed and felt nostalgia, "I would go back to...first grade."
"First grade?"
"Yeah," she smiled foolishly to herself, "Because, that was when I really felt like I was home."
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"It was before I knew that my father's job was going to require us to move a lot," she explained further, "And because of that, I never felt at home. I never had many true friends either."
Sung Yeol laid his hand on her shoulder.
"I'm not really the person to say these kind of sentimental things," he smiled genuinely at her, "But I honestly don't think you should worry about that anymore."
"Huh?" she asked.
"You've got me now," he said playfully, "I promise you. Even after this, I'll be a good friend."
Krystal gazed at him.
"Sung Yeol-ah."
"Yeah?" he asked, and raised his hand to lift from her shoulder, but Krystal grabbed it and held it in between both of hers.
"What?" Sung Yeol asked, clearly confused.
"Sung Yeol-ah."
"Oh, what?" he demanded.
"I---"
But they both lurched forward.
"Who the hell is it?" Sung Yeol yelled.
The car behind them had bumped into Sung Yeol's car. Sung Yeol got out to see who it was.
"Are you serious?"
Krystal got out to see who it was.
A familiar figure got out.
"What are you doing here?" Sung Yeol shouted angrily.
"I came to talk to you."
"What?"
Krystal couldn't see because the girl was wearing shades.
"I need to talk to you."
"And the only way you thought of was crashing into my car?"
"Would you have talked to me willingly? I think not."
"You're crazy," Sung Yeol muttered to himself.
"Hi, Krystal," the girl said snobbily, "I need to steal your lover after all this is settled."
A police car arrived.
"Alright," the officer stated, "I'll need all of your names."
The girl pulled off her sunglasses.
"My name is," she paused to glare at Krystal, "Ahn. Sohee."
Krystal felt anxious.
What did she want with Sung Yeol?
