You were running as fast as you can to the nearest veterinary clinic in order to save your dog, Cookie. She has been your bestfriend and protector for a long long time and now some show off, motorcycle ran into her breaking Cookie’s leg.

You cursed while crying and panting at the same time until you found one. You went inside startling someone who was in there before you. He looked at Cookie with worried eyes and started to call the vet to help me.

“Please! Help Cookie. She’s injured. Please.” Some of the vet’s assistant took Cookie away from you. It took three volunteers to carry Cookie inside which also made you think How on earth did I manage to carry a 32 kg Golden Retriever three blocks from here?

You shoved that thought away and started to walk back and forth, still crying. You were still panting and shaking when all of a sudden, a pair of hands cupped your shoulders from behind. You didn’t notice who it was, but he made you sit on his chair and helped you calm down.

“Shhhh. Your dog will be fine. Okay? Here.” He offered you his coat and placed it on you. You were planning on rejecting it but you don’t have the strength to do so.

“Mr. Kim? Jjangu and Monggu are done.” One of the vet’s assistant said as two Airdale Terriers came running to him. He was so happy that they were fine while you were there still worried about Cookie.

“What exactly happened? Do you mind telling me?” He asked while he connected a leash on each of their collars and tied it on the end of the chair he was sitting.

“Sh-she got hit by a motorbike. That show off tried to jump across Cookie when the leash broke and… he landed on one of Cookies legs. He didn’t even apologize for what he done.” You told him which only made you worry all over again.

“Did you saw his face? Or anything that could trace him?” He asked. You held out a note with blood stains on it, where the plate number of the motorbike was written.

“Stay here. Watch them for me.” He ran out of the Clinic while you were there confused. His two dogs seemed to know your pain when the two slowly went beside you and lied down on your feet. It’s like they were comforting you.

“Thank you.” You whispered as you pat their heads.

After three and a half hours, the vet came out to talk to you. You carefully move Jjangu and Monggu’s heads away from your feet to not disturb them in their peaceful slumber. You walked towards the vet.

“How’s Cookie?” You asked.

“She’s fine. I placed braces on her right leg so she won’t be having a hard time walking. Here are some medicines you need to buy and be sure to mix it to her food every day. Bring her back here after two weeks for a regular check-up. Make sure to walk her everyday for faster recovery. It’s good that you were able to get her here on time or she won’t be able to make it due to blood loss.” He said as the assistants carried her to you. After a few minutes, This Mr. Kim guy came back with a familiar guy behind him.

“yah! You were the one who nearly killed cookie!” You shouted and was about to charge into him when this Mr. Kim stopped you.

“Let’s hear him out.” He whispered which made you calm down and looked at the douche beside him.

“I’m really really sorry for doing that. I won’t say any excuse so I could get away with it but, I’ll do everything to make it up to you. I’ll pay for the damages and medicines your dog has if you want.” He pleaded.

“fine. You pay everything. And a new leash as well.” You simply stated as he bowed before walking away from us to pay for everything.

“I’ve been helping you out for today but I didn’t get your name. I’m Kai by the way.” So his name was Kai.

“Hi, I’m you, nice to meet you and thank you for helping me.” You said as he reach for cookie and her hair softly.

“Wanna hang out some time? I mean, Jjangu and Monggu needs company.” He said, using his dog as an excuse to see you once again.

“You want that cookie?” You ask your pretty dog as she let out a loud *BARK!*

“She says yes.” You “translated”.

“Would you say yes?” He asked once again.
