Ryeowook was walking down the road to enjoy fresh Monday morning. He would go to the hospital around 9 AM and start what he’s done for the last 3 years there. He took fresh air for his lung and released a smiled after he done it. His feet brought him to the fish market where all the fresh fishes just caught were sold there. Many people greeted him cause he was known as a doctor in that small area. Ryeowook already live in district since he went to Kangwon National University for his college about 10 years ago.

He was known as a medical student after 7 months he went in the same schedules everyday. When people started to wonder, he explained everything and since then people gave their hopes to Ryeowook. Ryeowook loved to helped people if he can but he was honest if he couldn’t help much when he was still a student college. Kids loved him as much as the elders in the district. Ryeowook’s warm personality with his cute face made everyone fell for him easily.

Ryeowook walked closer to one of the seller.

“ahjussi, can I have this fish?”

The ahjussi looked up and smiled after he saw a young man who would buy his fish.

“aaaaah... doctor Kim… please have a look first. I can choose you the best.”

Ryeowook smiled warmly. “I just want to eat fish tonight so I plan to buy some.”

“what are you going to do with the fish, doctor?”

“I think I’m going to make some fishcakes or croquette.”

“so you’re going to fry it, right? Well… I guess this salmon will be perfect!” the seller man handed a big fish to Ryeowook.

“wow... such a big fish! Guess I will eat fishcakes for days. [smiled] okay, I’ll take this one, sir.”

“I’ll give special price for you, doctor. Just give me 10000 won.”

“wow! Such a big help, sir. Thank you so much for the advice and the help.”

“you helped me more, doc.”

“well, I’ll see you around, sir”

“take care always, doc…”

Ryeowook walked out from the seller stand and looked around the market on his way back to his home. Another day passed beautifully.

Ryeowook arrived at Donghae Hospital before 9 AM and he parked his car to where he usually placed his car. He took out of his bag and a plastic box for his breakfast before he walked out of the car. He went straightly to his room from the back door cause he planned to have some pancakes first before he met people. He greeted some nurses and another doctors before he entered his room. he closed the door and reached to the chair behind his desk before he started to open the plastic box.

Ryeowook felt his stomach was full after he took 2 pancakes in a row. He enjoyed the taste cause the pancakes he made were delicious. Everyone also admitted it. After that, he checked the pager but still no info where he should go in this morning. He went out of his room and checked the white board across the hall. He looked at the list before found his name to be an assistant for doctor Jung’s surgery and morning shift till 5PM. He smiled and went back to his room to prepare himself for the big surgery.

The surgery scheduled to be held on 11.15 AM as Ryeowook checked the board. But it was held 15 minutes earlier because the patient’s condition got worst than before. Ryeowook checked the pulse before reported it louder to doctor Jung and checked the rate of the heart in the monitor. He handed operation tools as what doctor Jung told him during his time checking the rate. The nurses were around them, assisted to help the doctors feel comfortable. The surgery went well for 2 hours and the patient moved to ICU for medical treatment.

Ryeowook wiped his sweat on his forehead before a hand place on his shoulder. He turned his head to find out who placed the hand on his shoulder. It was Kyuhyun.

“hi! Big op huh?”

“yeah… so complicated. I should learn so much more, Kyuhyun! Doctor Jung is really a master of the operation. We should always happy when we listed to assist him.”

“I knew about it long time ago, Ryeowook-ah. You’re lucky today. Hope the next op will be me.”

“it would be a good if the two of us assist him. We would fight a lot inside.”

Both of them laughed for their stupidity.

A woman and a little girl went to Ryeowook’s room after when the clock turned to 2 PM. Ryeowook welcomed them with his warmly smile.

“hi dear one… what happen to you? can you tell me?”

“my stomach is hurting, doctor Kim. My throat is sore. I went home early today…”

“really? Have you washed your hands before you eat something?”

The pretty girl nodded.

“was it spicy?” Ryeowook asked again and the girl shook her head.

“well, let me check first, okay?”

“okay” she answered in her low tone.

Ryeowook examined the little girl carefully before he told her to wake up and back to sit down next to her mom. Ryeowook smiled and returned to his own chair.

“did she happen to have some diarrhea today, Mrs. Lee?”

“yes, doctor. She went to the bathroom for couple times. What happen?”

“she’s got bacteria from the food she bought on the street. is sore and she’ll have cough if she doesn’t have antibiotic to against those bacteria. so I’m giving her some antibiotics and diarrhea medicine and here’s the receipt.”

Mrs. Lee looked at to Ryeowook thankfully. “thank you so much, doctor. You’re helping us so much.”

“it’s okay. I’m so happy I can help people… [turned to the little girl] you should drink warm water only, Lee Heebin. Do you understand me?”

She looked up to Ryeowook’s face with smile on her face before nodded.

“and……..”

“I promise I won’t buy any food randomly, doctor Kim.”

“good girl!! Have some food from home. It’s healthier enough.”

“she doesn’t want to bring the food I made, doctor Kim” her mother told Ryeowook about what her daughter wanted.

“your mom loves you, Heebin. So listen to her words, okay? Can you do it for me?”

“I will, doc…”

“then you’ll be healthy everyday…”

Mrs. Lee and Heebin were ready to leave the room before the little girl turned to face Ryeowook again.

“can you wait for me, doctor Kim? I’ll grow up faster and I want to be with you!”
