Ryeowook’s eyes were swollen a lot cause he was still crying even it had been 8 hours since the bomb accident. Ryeowook was waiting for his chance to see Yesung’s body even he knew that Yesung’s body wasn’t hole anymore. Ryeowook wanted to stop his tears but his heart was mourning to Yesung’s existence and without he realized, his tears were still flowing from his eyes. Even if he could to talk to his tears not to ran out, he would be fail to hold the pain inside his heart.

Siwon was walking around outside Yesung’s bedroom, calling out some people he knew to share the news about Yesung. Ryeowook somehow still heard about what Siwon was talking about. Some of Yesung’s colleagues were fill Yesung’s house after they said their condolences to Ryeowook. Ryeowook chose to stay inside Yesung’s bedroom, hold on tight to the bolster as he wished that the bolster was Yesung, cause he also felt that he didn’t know some of the people who came. Ryeowook felt alone, abandoned and alienated…

A slightest touch brought him walk away from the reality as Ryeowook felt a light kiss on his cheek. He smiled. That familiar scent was so close to him.

“Wookie… wookie… Ryeowookie… come on! Wake up! It’s already 6.20 and you’re still on your bed! Come on! This is your first day in my highschool! [pulled the blanket] come on!!!” a husky voice interrupted hi sleep.

Ryeowook tighten his eyes but suddenly open wider when he felt another kiss fell on his nose. He saw Yesung was lying right in front of him.

“Wake up, little man! You said you aren’t a baby but you sleep like one… [poking Ryeowook’s cheek] aaaww so cute… how can this cutie pie is a highschool kid?? You should stay in elementary school forever… [smiled] come on! Go to bath now!” Yesung woke up and pulled Ryeowook’s body from the bed.

He lost his balance and fell on the floor while Ryeowook lost the hands that supported his body a while ago. He also followed Yesung to fell down but he wasn’t fall on the floor. He fell right on Yesung with his face buried on Yesung’s neck.

Ryeowook’s hated how his heart skip some beats cause he didn’t want Yesung to found out but he enjoyed himself inhaling Yesung’s scent since Yesung was so ready to go to school. Ryeowook was totally sure his face was red as strawberry cause Yesung was too close to him. He was afraid being caught, that was why he stood up fast and ran to the bathroom while screaming, “Sorry, Woonie… I’m not doing it in purpose…”

Yesung could only shake his head slowly even though he could swear he loved the feeling to have Ryeowook that close.

They walked together side by side like brothers to Hyundai Highschool and Ryeowook was slowing his steps for a bit. Yesung noticed about it and he stopped his feet.

“What happen?”

“I’m nervous, Woonie… what if this isn’t the right school for me?”

Yesung lifted Ryeowook’s chin and smiled. “You belong to this school, sweetheart. You asked me to sleep over to calm yourself and I did it for two nights. Why you’re still nervous then? Beside… [Yesung waved to his friends] I already promised to keep you safe to your mom before we left. [smiled again] come on! Trust me, you’ll be okay…”

Yesung accompanied Ryeowook to his new class and stayed for some minutes before the bell separated them. Ryeowook chose a second chair from the first line and waited for the teacher to come. He smiled when he saw a note on his book from Yesung.

“start today with a smile cause the world will be more beautiful when you see it with a smile…”

Ryeowook drowned inside his thoughts when a hand distracted his attention. He looked to see the one who had that hand and smiled. “Cho Kyuhyun…” and Ryeowook replied straightly, “Kim Ryeowook…”

Ryeowook moved his head a little when another touch rubbed his cheek. His heart stopped in sudden when a voice visited his ear. “Wake up, Ryeowook… I’m here… I miss you…”

Ryeowook tried to open his eyes a bit when he saw black shadow in front of his eyes blurry. The sight of a man disappeared as Ryeowook’s eyes widen. He woke his back up and looked around.

“Jongwoon…… Jongwoon……”

Ryeowook stayed a while to gain some answers but all he could hear was noises from people outside the room.

“Hyung… I saw Yesung a while ago…” Ryeowook said to Siwon, freaked out.

“Ryeowook… Yesung is still at the morgue… he’s… [lower the tone] lifeless, Ryeowook… how could he’s here?” Siwon declined what Ryeowook said, while still welcoming the guest. Ryeowook was confused.

“Ryeowook, look… I know you’re still shock about what just happened. [sighed] your condition still not good… have a rest again, okay. I’ll take care of everything…” Siwon added, tapped Ryeowook’s shoulder before he left to talk to the guests.

Ryeowook looked around, he felt alone even so many people were there. Tears ran out from his swollen eyes as his shoulder was shaking. He walked back to Yesung’s bedroom and reminisced what happen few minutes ago. He could swear was there when he was still half asleep with the familiar voice for Ryeowook. he swore it was Yesung’s voice. With his hands hugged himself, Ryeowook climbed the bed.

“are you here with me, Jongwoon? [sniffled] I miss you so much… how could you leave me alone like this? I haven’t told you how much I love you… [cried again] I miss you…”

Ryeowook laid himself back on where he was a while ago, held Yesung’s pillow tightly. He buried his face on the pillow and cried again.

“I wish we never met that day, Jongwoon… you must be still alive… you didn’t have to be in that car to pick me up… [clutched the pillow] are you happy there? Are you already with Sungmin hyung?”

Ryeowook kept crying while mumbling. Times passed by till he remembered his dream when he was fell asleep.

“I will keep you safe in my heart, Jongwoon… like what I did for ten years…”

Ryeowook brought Yesung’s recorder for English’s homework home with him. He had to introduce himself in English and he had to tape it too. Yesung promised him that he would help Ryeowook as soon as he finished playing basketball. So Ryeowook prepared himself at home and waited till the clock turned to 7.30 PM.

“Ryeowook… Ryeowook-ah… [shook Ryeowook’s body] why are you sleeping?” a voice woke Ryeowook before Ryeowook realized he fell asleep.

“Jongwoon… sorry… I’ve been waiting for you… [wiped his eyes] you just come?” and Yesung nodded.

“It’s okay… sorry I’m late. Siwon wanted another round to beat me” Yesung explained in happiness.

“Did you win?” Ryeowook asked and his smiled wider when Yesung nodded again.

“I’m always winning the game, Ryeowook-ah… it’s just I don’t know why I haven’t grow taller…” Yesung said before both of them laughed.

“But you are perfect, Jongwoon…” Ryeowook said, almost like a whisper.

Both Ryeowook and Yesung finished the homework before 9 PM. Ryeowook was so happy when he placed the cassette in the bag. He smiled to Yesung, “thank you so much, Woonie… I can finish it even the due time is still next Wednesday. I’ll give it to her tomorrow…”

Yesung replied with another smile he had. “you should. So you can have an extra grade from your teacher… and… by the way, do you like Miss Elsa?”

“No… what makes you think that way, Jongwoon?”

“You always get excited when you see her subject on you schedule…”

“No I didn’t…”

“I hope you’re not, Ryeowook… or I’d be very jealous of her…” Yesung said in sudden, left Ryeowook frozen with the words.

 “I will go home now, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow.” Yesung left a light kiss on Ryeowook cheek and he believed that Ryeowook was blushing with his action.

Ryeowook sighed when sweet memory of him and Yesung came up to the surface of his brain. He smiled and caressed his cheek, just like got the kiss not long ago.

The police came on the next morning and brought some files to Ryeowook. Ryeowook received them with Siwon on his side. They were sitting at the living room when the head chief handed some evidence.

“There was a bomb under the car and it blew when Mr. Yesung turned the engine on…” the head chief said while handed something inside the plastic bag.

Ryeowook didn’t receive the evidence, so Siwon took it and examined it.

“And have the police suspect someone or I don’t know…”

“We’re still facing a dead end about the suspect but we will investigate this case further to find out.”

“Just call me if you find anything, sir, cause I’ll gladly help if you need anything.”

“I will, sir… [shook Siwon’s hand and turned to Ryeowook] I’m sorry for your lost, sir” he said, tried to put a smile on his face while Ryeowook only nodded.

Ryeowook was about to go back to the room but Siwon stopped him. “Prepare yourself for the funeral…”

Ryeowook stayed silence when the coffin was arriving in front of him. Inside the mahogany wood, Yesung’s body was lying without a sound. No one insisted to open thee coffin since everyone knew that Yesung was burnt for almost 100%. Remembering the facts, Ryeowook cried again. Ryeowook never thought that Yesung would have an ending like this for his life, in a tragic way.

The ceremony took 2 hours cause there were so many people wanted to talk about Yesung. Ryeowook even saw Yesung’s parents but didn’t bother himself to get closer to them. Clients and people who ever got helps from Yesung were appreciating the way Yesung worked. Siwon and Eunhyuk also moved forward to share their condolences before Park Jungsoo made his sympathy speech.

Ryeowook walked further from bunch of people who were still surrounding Yesung’s graveyard. He inhaled some air cause he felt he ran out of breath. He held his chest while forcing his feet to where Sungmin’s laid peacefully. He kept walking when his head was spinning around and in sudden Ryeowook wasn’t sure about what he did. Ryeowook fell on the ground.

Ryeowook was fainted.

“You haven’t eaten anything at all, Ryeowook! Eat this!” Siwon was overwhelmed in taking care of Ryeowook cause Ryeowook didn’t want to eat or talk. Ryeowook was just stay silence when people asked him to talk or came to give their deepest condolences.

Ryeowook didn’t reply Siwon’s request as he kept staring at the plate in front of him. In his silence, the tears were flowing without a sound as if they knew how deep the wounds that now covered Ryeowook’s heart. Ryeowook stood up and was about to go back to the room but Siwon stopped him once again.

He turned Ryeowook’s body to face him and pulled Ryeowook closer inside his hug.

“Listen…… Yesung left us both… I know you’re the one who felt so lost right now. He’s everything to you as you were everything to him. The only matter in this world for Yesung was you, Ryeowook. [tapped Ryeowook’s back] and I promised him to take care of you if something bad happened to him… how could I fulfill my promise if you keep behave like this?”

Ryeowook didn’t answer but released himself from Siwon. He walked to the bedroom and when he reached the door, he stopped.

“If he loves me that much, why he didn’t take me with him in that car? Why he left me alone after we go back from Gangwon-do? Why??? Why??” Ryeowook said inside his sniffling and sobbing.

“Just believe what he said to you, Ryeowook… I can’t do anything else right now… He wanted me to take care of you…”

“I don’t need to be taking care of, hyung… just go home… I’ll be fine…”

“You haven’t filled your stomach since the accident till now. It’s that what you called you’ll be fine?”

“Just leave… Leave!!! Leave me like Yesung! I don’t need you! GOOOOOO!!! LEAVE!!!”

That was the last words that came from Ryeowook as he entered the room and slammed the door right in front of Siwon’s face.
