Joonmyeon was on his last period class which was History of Magic. The professor was talking about Giant Wars. He read his textbooks throughout the lecture and sometimes he glances to the front to see the lecture. Joonmyeon was one of the best students in Hogwarts. Before the beginning of the year, Professor Flitwick has selected several students to be the house prefect and he was one of them. Being the bright student he is, he always stands out in every class. It has given him the privilege to be the house prefect. But even a bright student has its moment of boredom.

Joonmyeon kept on turning his textbook pages. He rested his chin with his hand and his elbow on the desk while the other hand is playing with his textbooks. He then blew raspberries.

Then the class door opened revealing Mr. Filch standing with his hand carrying his cat. The professor and the students moved their attention to him. “I’m sorry professor for disturbing your lecture but I’m here to get Mr. Kim Joonmyeon. He’s needed in the Ravenclaw Head’s Office.”

The professor turned to Joonmyeon and gave him a nod. Joonmyeon then packed up his things and walked to the door. The professor called him before he went out the door, “and make sure you ask your classmates about the lecture today.” Joonmyeon nodded at him before walking out of the room. Mr. Filch went the opposite direction as he headed to the seventh floor. He started to climb up the staircases and then turned to an alley and to the west tower. The students started to hangs around the corridor. It looks like some of the class has ended their lecture.

He then faced with a door that immediately opened when he arrive. Professor Flitwick must’ve expecting him to come. He walked inside the room and to the professor’s desk. Professor Flittwick was writing on some books. He noticed the sound of Joonmyeon’s footsteps and lifted his head. “Ah Joonmyeon,” he then put down his quill and stood up from his chair. He walked to his armchair that was near the desk. “Come and sit down.”

Joonmyeon then went to the same armchair that was next to the one that Professor Flitwick was sitiing on. He took a seat and then waited for him to speak.

“So, how’s your classes?” he had both of his hands together and put them on his lap.

“They were great professor.” He smiled.

The professor leaned closer to him and whispered, “You must be wondering why I called you here, are you?”

Joonmyeon chuckled a little and answered, “And I guess you didn’t call me here just to talk about my grades aren’t you sir?”

Professor Flitwick laughed and then he straightens his back to speak again. “You know how I always trusted you to be a prefect, even when you’re still a fourth year student back then.” Joonmyeon nodded. “And I trust you to be a good prefect and act like one. Because what I’m about to assigned to you is really important.”

Joonmyeon stared at the professor. He gulped slowly and listened to what he’s about to say again.

“Have you ever heard of a name Park Sungmi?” he asked. Joonmyeon nodded again for the hundredth time. “What is she like in the class? I know that you have been in the same class with her for a few years.”

“Well she’s a bit of a shy girl and she was somehow rebellious to the professor and to the other classmates.”

“And her class performace? What’d you think?”

“I’m not sure how to say it to you but she tends to fail some classes. Not that I’m being cocky or anything professor but I’m just telling you the truth.”

“Oh no don’t ever think like that again,” he shook his head and then stared at Joonmyeon. He began to worry when the professor sighed before he started to speak again. “Well Ms. Sungmi happens to be the one of the most powerful wizard ever existed.”

Joonmyeon blinked his eyes rapidly.

“She was born with a very unique magical abilities. Have you ever heard about metamorphmagus?”

“A metamorphmagus is a witch or wizard born with the innate ability to change some or all of their appearance at will. They can change their appearance quickly in a blink of an eye.”

“Ms. Sungmi is a metamorphmagus and a very powerful one which makes them hard as a rock. She was somehow misunderstood by the other students who had no knowledge on what she is. And that is what’s causing her behave like that. Her attitude problem since she started studying here is affecting her performance in class. I want you to be her guide or perhaps you can call it a tutor. Now I know that you will consider it first but like I said before, I trust you with all my heart.”

Joonmyeon stared at the floor with his hand clamped together and he can feel that they started to get wet. He knew Park Sungmi, he knew her since the first time he went to this school. Park Sungmi left a mark on him on the first day he met her and he always had his eyes on her every time he saw her ever since. He remembered how the other students were hard on her, how the girls treated her like a slave, how boys treated her like a clown and make fun of her. But he never saw her break down; she always stays quiet and kept on her strong face every time she had to deal with those people. She even stands up for herself and she didn’t even care if anyone pities her. She always stays strong and stays true to herself. Maybe that’s what makes everyone portraits her as a rebel.

He then remembered how silent he became when things like that happens, when someone gets bullied or treated badly. How he can become a coward and can’t do anything to defend the hurt ones. And he wanted to be a prefect, a leader. How pathetic can a leader be if he can’t even help the others in need?
