----- Chapter Two -----

“I’m really tired,” Luhan groaned as he threw himself on the sofa. The boys had just arrived in their dorm after practicing a lot for their upcoming comeback. They practiced for like 13 hours and they were really exhausted from all the dancing. The members walked like zombies and then fell flat on the sofas and some on the floor.

                “Yaah, I can’t dance anymore,” Kai exclaimed who fell flat on the floor. He closed his eyes and took deep breaths.

                “Wow, even a dancing machine like you can get tired,” Chen exclaimed as he slouched on the sofa, fanning himself with a towel.

                “I’m hungry,” Xiumin muttered as he groggily stood up and went his way to the fridge. Groans echoed in the whole living room. No one can describe how tired they were. Some even slept automatically when their bodies hit the floor or the sofas.

                “Okay, let’s just go to our rooms and sleep. We’ll be up early tomorrow,” Suho just stood up and announced. As usual, he does his role as the leader very well. The members just nodded.

                It took a while for the members to carry out what their leader told them to do. They were too tired anyway. They lazily walked to their own rooms to rest.

                “Ugh, I’m so tired that I could sleep for a week,” Luhan whined as he weakly turned the knob to open the door of his room. He twisted his head left and right and groaned as he did it. He can’t believe he would experience the same terrible exhaustion he felt when he was still a trainee. As he sighed, he was surprised to see the M leader, on his bed, busy with his phone, and was done showering already.

                “Oh Kris you’re done washing up? But when ---,” scratching his head, the doe-eyed member was puzzled.

                “I just went straight to my room,” Kris answered, still with his eyes on his precious phone. “You were all busy downstairs.”

                “Aaah,” Luhan went inside and closed the door. He went on to look for his towel so that he could start washing up. Seeing Kris unusually stuck on his phone, he curiously tried to peek on what his fellow member was busy with. Unfortunately, Kris caught him.

                “What?” he said as he hid his phone as soon as he caught what the older was trying to do. Good, his reflexes worked great. A hint of panic was plastered on the face of the giant rapper.

                Luhan just clicked his tongue. “What are you doing, Kris?” he can’t help but ask.

                “N-nothing,” Kris stuttered. “Just,” he gave himself some time to think for an excuse. “Just searching my name on the web.”

                Luhan raised an eyebrow at Kris. But he did not question anymore. He was tired. He just shrugged it off and proceeded to the bathroom.

                Kris closed his eyes and gave off a sigh of relief. “That was close,” he said. He then continued what he was doing a while ago.

                “Okay, so how do we do this,” he murmured as he logged in for the first time in the social networking site ‘Chatpal’. He was not able to try it out since he signed up. He had no idea how this kind of website work. He just wanted to try it out. Maybe it would ease his boredom. He’s got enough of games already. He wanted to try something new.

                “Hmm,” he hummed as he read the guidelines for new users of the site. He took time to read every word of it.

Welcome COOLduizhang!

To formally start this Chatpal experience, please take time to read the rules and regulations listed below:

1.This site is mainly for socializing with other people.

                “Ugh,” Kris’ eyebrow rose. “Well, that was not obvious,” he chuckled. He continued to read.

2.Chatpal is mostly about matchmaking; therefore, users can only chat with others of opposite gender.

                Kris was surprised with the idea. He found it unusual for a social networking site to implement this kind of rule. But he did not bother to question it. He just shrugged it off.

3.ography is gravely forbidden. If you are caught in such a hideous act involving ography, you are automatically banned from visiting this website again.

4.Users who will be available for your viewing are gender-based, in relation to the second rule.

5.Chatpal is…..

                Kris thoroughly read and understood everything on the note. He was about to visit his Chatpal profile when Luhan suddenly came out of the bathroom. Thinking that Luhan would definitely question him again about what he’s doing, he decided to put his phone down. He placed his phone beside him and closed his eyes to try to get some sleep. Luhan, on the other hand, wiped his drenched body and dressed himself. He glanced at the younger member to check what he was doing. Seeing him asleep, he just laid on his bed and was soon drifted off to dreamland.

                Dara couldn’t get herself to sleep. Though she was tired with all the rehearsals, she still can’t sleep a wink. She constantly kept changing positions on the bed, finding the most comfortable position, hoping that it would help her fall asleep. But all her efforts were wasted. She was tired, yes. And she wondered why she wasn’t drowsy at all. She checked on her other members, and she envied them for being able to fall asleep.

                She laid flat on her back and stared at the ceiling. She wondered what she could do that time, since she was the only one who’s wide awake. She sighed.

                “What to do?” She whispered to herself. Her mind was totally blank. She sighed again. She closed her eyes, and continued to think. And then out of nowhere, an idea popped in her mind, which made her get up so excitedly. She hurriedly dashed to her desk, but was still careful so that she wouldn’t wake her members up. She took her laptop from her bag, and turned it on. It took some time for the gadget to fully turn on, and once it was ready, she clicked on Google Chrome.

                “Chat…pal…dot…com,” she mumbled as she typed the website address she planned to go to. Once she was able to access the site, she logged in.

Username: Ssantokki00

Password: ******

                She was already done reading the rules and everything about Chatpal yesterday, but she hadn’t got the chance to start her ‘Chatpal experience’ yet.

                “Okay, so… shall I begin?” she thought. She proceeded to the ‘Online Users List’ and scrolled down to find someone she wanted to chat with. She didn’t know any of those users, and she knew that no one knows it was her as well. Chatpal is not like twitter, which puts a blue tick beside the name verifying that the user is a real celebrity. But just to keep her real identity, she faked her personal info. She just wanted to be normal anyway.

                She just kept scrolling. It has been like that for a while. It’s not like there were tons of users online that time, but it was just that she couldn’t find anyone interesting. New users appeared, and some were gone. And the cycle goes on, and boredom slowly got on her. But when she was just about to leave the page, a certain username caught her eyes.

                Luhan was already snoring softly, and no matter how many times Kris tried to sleep. He couldn’t. He just couldn’t. He slowly got up and sat on his bed, with his back against the wall. He bent his knees and rested his arms on them. His mind was thoughtless. It was around 1am in the morning, and he was sure everybody was already asleep. He sighed. His eyes just wandered around, trying to find things that would kill his boredom or perhaps make him fall asleep. His eyes landed on his phone near him. He suddenly remembered about Chatpal and he grabbed his phone. He opened it, and realized that he was not able to log out and that he failed to close the site. He was about to look at the users who were online that time when suddenly, a chat box popped up. He was surprised that someone just chatted with him.

                Ssantokki00:                       Hi ^-^

                “Ssantokki?” he thought. A small smile suddenly crept on the Chinese rapper’s face. “I like her username,” Without any second thought, he typed in some words and replied to his chat mate.

                COOLduizhang:                 Hello. :)

                It took him 2 minutes just to reply ‘Hello’. He was not really good in socializing mainly because he has a hard time trying to keep up with a conversation. With his short reply, he wasn’t really sure if this ‘Ssantokki00’ would even want to continue chatting with him, but to his surprise, she chatted back.

                Ssantokki00:                       What are you doing there? :D

                Kris chuckled with her reply. He then typed what’s on his mind.

                COOLduizhang:                 Ugh, chatting with you? :/

                With this response, Dara ‘face palmed’. She realized how stupid her question was. And her chat mate just sarcastically stated the obvious. She bet he was laughing at her now. “You’re very pathetic, Sandara Park!” she muttered to herself. Her face turned red due to embarrassment. “Stupid Dara,” she hit her head softly yet repeatedly. She cannot bring herself to reply anymore, she was too embarrassed.

                COOLduizhang:                 You still there? :$

               It surprised her to see that ‘COOLduizhang’ continued to chat with her. It was kind of unexpected. But nonetheless, she typed in her reply.

                Ssantoki00:                         Yes yes :> Keke ^-^

                Kris smirked. He knew that this girl was embarrassed upon his sarcasm. And he did feel quite guilty, so he tried his best to compensate for what he just said.

                COOLduizhang:                 I like your username. How’d you come up with that?

                Dara felt her cheeks turn red upon reading what he asked. Of course she chose ‘Ssantoki’ because that’s what her fans usually call her. But just thinking of the reason why she added the number ‘00’ to it makes her heart flutter. She has this personal reason why she added the number.

                “It’s because… it’s Kris’ signature number,” the thought made her smile so lovingly. But of course she wouldn’t tell it to her chat mate. It was too personal to share.

                Ssantokki00:                       Because I like bunnies! :) And I like 2ne1’s Dara too :>

                Kris smiled. Even in a random chat like this, Dara’s name was still brought up. When he first saw his chat mate’s username, he automatically thought of Dara. He knew people nicknamed her as “Ssantokki,” and he found it cute, he found her cute. He finds Dara really cute. But anyways, because of this ‘mystery’ girl’s username, he, without any hesitation, answered back. And it’s weird that he actually started to like chatting with this girl.

                COOLduizhang:                 I like Dara too :)

                Dara blushed with his answer. She didn’t know why but she just felt heat on her cheeks again. But before it would go weirder for her, she just threw him a question that she has been eager to ask.

                Ssantokki00:                       Your username is cute as well x) Aigoo, why did you choose that name? :o I’m also curious ^.^

                Now that question was pretty easy to answer. It’s because he is Kris Wu. He’s been called “duizhang” by many. And he can’t think of any other username. He named himself “COOLduizhang” because it, err, perfectly described him? But he did not want to reveal his true identity. He just wanted a peaceful social media account. He wanted a quiet – uh – cyber life. So he just answered her question safely.

                COOLduizhang:                 It’s because my favorite EXO member is Kris. :]

                Dara just smiled at the sight of the name ‘Kris’. He was her favorite EXO member as well – definitely. She can’t help but chuckle at this thought.

                Ssantokki00:                       Ooh  ~~ Is that so? ^-^ I also like him :)

                COOLduizhang:                 Really? That’s great then. He’s cool.

                Dara chuckled at his instant reply. She couldn’t agree even more.

                Ssantokki00:                       Yes yes. He’s very cool and mysterious! I really like him a lot <3

                She unconsciously typed what her heart was telling her. She got a bit carried away and it was too late for her to take it back because she already sent it to him. Dara couldn’t help but panic upon her statement. She couldn’t do anything about it. “Omo! I’m continuously embarrassing myself!” she hit her head again “He might think I’m Kris’ sasaeng!” she cried… a bit too loudly, waking up Bom. Dara was horrified to see Bom up this early and seeing her scary expression, she knew that she’s definitely in trouble.

                Kris was about to type his reply when another message was sent to him from this certain Ssantokki.

                Ssantokki00: I’msorrybutsomethingcameupIgottago

                The giant rapper read her message with difficulty. It had no spaces at all. He tried to decode her message and only became successful after a minute. “Something very urgent might have come up that she forgot to put spaces between her words,” he thought to himself. He sent his last message to her that night, though she was already offline.

                COOLduizhang:                 Okay then. I’m looking forward to chat with you next time :)

                He couldn’t help but smile as he read her message again about him being cool and that she really likes him a lot. He didn’t know why, he was used to fans telling him that but he felt eerily happy with this certain Ssantokki telling him that. He felt his heart fluttered, but he just ignored it. He logged out and then placed his phone somewhere on his bed. He laid down. He sure knew he was going to have a good night’s sleep that time.

                Meanwhile,

                “Bommie, c-calm down,” Dara said as she slowly moved away from the raging Bom. She was trembling but still managed to give an awkward smile. She knew Bom’s definitely not happy. And this sent chills down her spine. Who would want to experience the wrath of the Bominator anyway?

                “Da…ra… You know I don’t want my sleep getting interrupted,” Bom’s voice was hoarse, and not to mention, scary. Her eyebrows were very much furrowed. She slowly inched closer to the trembling bunny.

                “B-Bommie, don’t be like that. Y-you’ll get ugly,” Dara couldn’t move away any further. Her back was already against the wall. “Oh no.”

                And Bom just smirked and she went even closer. Dara couldn’t hold her fear anymore and hell broke loose.

                “UWAAAHH CHAERIN MINJI HELP MEEEE!!”

                And that’s the life of 2ne1 in their dorm. :)
