Upside Down
Babysitting EXO II: The SoShi Secret [Quick ending at last chapter!]Not proof read, lol.
“Those times you’d put me to sleep by singing a lullaby…
… an action that lets me dream that you are my bride.”
“Break them.”
Break them? The boys didn’t care as they didn’t know what it meant – or at least didn’t want to know. They’re good at acting blind if they wanted to.
“Understood,” replied Taeyeon.
One word. It was only a mere single word and yet it broke three hearts in just a second. The fact that she agreed to it meant the girls didn’t care either, that the girls didn’t care about them; about how they would feel. Suho, Luhan and Lay felt like their hearts shattered each time a second passed by; it was too painful that they wished they didn’t hear anything from the girls at all.
Slowly, Suho let go of the door handle while the three’s heads were all bowed down, hiding the pain that was evident on their faces. They went there to know how the girls were, and now they already know.
The door suddenly opened and the girls got shocked at the sight of them there. The boys’ heads shot up to face the girls, but the pain was still seen. It was obvious they heard what the girls were told to do.
“We were just making sure you’re all okay,” Suho stated, refusing to even look at the girls, “We’ll be going now.” He said, and then he began to walk to the stairs, and he was followed by Luhan and Lay.
“You know,” Yuri started. The boys halted and faced them, “it’s kind of dumb leaving our phones to us. That’s just stupid.”
“Heh,” Suho let out, “guess we really become stupid when it comes to you,” he replied. He inhaled deeply and began talking again, “And we wanted you to have the liberty of at least being able to talk to your friends and all, so you don’t feel depressed here. Guess we just thought about your beings too much.” With that, he turned around and walked down the stairs.
“Shouldn’t we take their phones now?” Lay asked, maintaining a calm expression as if he wasn’t affected at all, but truthfully, he was.
“Hm… We should,” Suho lamely replied, sounding as if he didn’t care. He really didn’t.
The girls only gave each other glances before and watched the boys disappear.
When the boys arrived back to the rest, they went to their spots and sat down while letting out deep sighs.
“What happened?” asked Kai.
Luhan yet again inhaled and let it out. He took a second before responding to the latter’s question. “Nothing. They were just talking to their friends,” he replied.
“Then what’s with the long faces?” Kris questioned this time, his focus especially stuck on Suho. Because if the others are upset, it’s because of childish and immature reasons. But if Suho’s upset, then it’s a freaking emergency.
As if noticing Kris’ gaze, Suho looked at Kris and responded the same way Luhan did, but with a different answer, “I just… feel like giving up.”
“What?!” yelled s.
“Hyung, are you sick?!”
“Are you okay?! It’s not like you to give up so easily.”
Suho shrugged, “I’m fine. Just can’t take it anymore.”
“Yah, don’t be a drama queen,” Kris stated, “What really happened just now?”
“Nothing,” Suho repeated, “nothing happened.”
“Then, hyung, why are you so… not yourself now?” Sehun asked.
“I… just came to a realization, that’s all,” Suho said. “I don’t want to force them to remember. If… if Sunny really loved me at all… she’ll remember. She even said she’ll never forget no matter what. The irony.”
“Snap out of it, hyung,” Baekhyun demanded, “You’re a leader, you’re meant to make us go on and not give up. You’ve always done that, what happened now? How are we going to go on when you’re the first one to give up?”
“And it’s only about two days, hyung.”
Suho grinned, “You have Kris.”
Kris shook his head, “Yeahhh~ Not a good advice.”
They argued even more, questioning Suho why he had decided to give up so quickly, but only Lay and Luhan knew the answer, because they too wanted to give up. After the boys cleaned up and had went to their respective rooms to face scary feminine faces, Kris grabbed Suho by the shirt and dragged him to the balcony next to Room #1.
“What?”
“Tell me,” Kris commanded, “What really happened when you checked on the girls?”
“I told you, it’s nothing.”
Kris scoffed, “Stop being such a girl and denying things, Joonmyun.” Kris coldly said, “THAT’S NOT NOTHING!” He shouted, and everyone in the beach house heard. The boys, having recognized the voice, rushed outside to see their two leaders arguing in the balcony.
Xiumin, being the oldest – and one who only acts his age when things gets out of hand, went to the two to make sure they don’t anything to hurt each other. Before exiting, Luhan turned back to the Taeyeon, Jessica and Yuri and said, “Your plan worked,” in a way that made the girls feel guilty. He then made his way out.
Luhan was followed by Lay, who did the same thing, “Are you happy now?” He asked before going to the commotion as well.
The girls couldn’t help but feel worried. They were frightened too as it was too quick to see the change in Luhan, Lay and Suho’s attitudes.
“They… they’re pretty weak, you know… We haven’t even done anything,” Yuri commented, trying to lift up the mood. But saying also made her feel guilty. Never in their lives – or from what they remember of their lives – have they ever done anything like the man asked them to do. They have never played with boys who were in love with them’s hearts and just simply break them. It’s not like they can just squeeze them, step on them and put them in t
