Jong Dae opened his phone for the first time since his work had begun. People around him were coming to ask to get flu medicine; there were a lot of people who got flu. He himself felt wasn’t really well; his head was so heavy. However, it was his job to become the doctor for these people. They need his help and he couldn’t say no: it was his bad habit. He couldn’t say no to everyone who asked him for help, including Li Yin.

Yes, he was the maid in honor…..or man in honor. He didn’t even know how to call himself but he had to help Li Yin.

Truthfully, he wasn’t ready to meet Li Yin, not to mention to meet her with Jun Su. So far for these two weeks, he could manage to avoid them by telling that the clinic was so busy, which was not a lie too.

Li Yin was asking him nonetheless when he could come to Seoul. He needed, at least, to see the bridesmaids and the best men. Jong Dae could only nod when she told him everything about her dream wedding.

Jong Dae knew exactly that Li Yin wanted to do garden party for her wedding party. She also liked non-fluffy gowns and she had ranted about many dresses that actually caught her attention. Again, Jong Dae could only respond her by producing ‘hmmm’ sound as she continuously talked about the dream wedding of hers.

Jong Dae learned that Jun Su’s family was unbeatable and rich. Jong Dae realized that some young women who came to his clinic were talking about the cloth and accessories brand which was owned by his family. No wonder Jun Su could go to France easily……..and took Li Yin’s heart away.

His heart was still aching, but with the day passed, he somehow realized that nothing could change. He couldn’t force Li Yin to be with him, and Jun Su was a good guy. He really loved Li Yin and promised to make her happy. The ache on his heart was somehow gone day by day but it was still hurt.

He opened his phone and saw Yi Xing’s text message, asking him to meet up. Jong Dae simply answered back that he was so busy that he couldn’t go from the clinic.

Okay, I will go to yours instead. Wait for me and jie. She is so excited to see your clinic.

They knew his address this time. Jong Dae couldn’t avoid giving his hideout place to them. Li Yin hadn’t come there but Yi Xing had and he was so surprised to see how truthful Jong Dae’s words were about the busyness. People could literally run into there and shouted that they needed headache medicine.

“Oppa?”  Jin Ri’s voice awoken him. He put down his phone and smiled. Jin Ri brought him a hot honey tea.

“Thank you. Jin Ri-ah, Yi Xing hyung and Li Yin noona will come here. Please buy some cookies for them.”

“Alright. Oppa, are you alright with that?”  Jong Dae knew what the real intention of her question was. He smiled weakly, “I am okay. Thank you.”

“Okay, if you say so,”  Jin Ri was about to walk out, “oh yeah, I almost forget.  Byun Baek Hyun-sshi will come and send some medicine for our supply. He just called from the drug store.”

“Thank you, Jin Ri.”  Baek Hyun was one of Jong Dae’s friends back in university. Baek Hyun was studying on pharmacy while Jong Dae was in medical faculty. He then worked for short time in one big and famous drug store until he made his own drug store. He then became the supplier of Jong Dae’s clinic.

Jin Ri walked out and left Jong Dae with the honey tea. Jong Dae drank it carefully and felt relieved. His head was spinning but the tea helped a bit. He then sighed and walked into the coat rack to put his doctor suit.

“Doctor! Doctor Kim! Please help my son!”  Suddenly, a middle-aged woman barged into his room while carrying a little boy in her arm.

“What is it?”

“He is having a sudden high fever! I don’t know what to do and I run into here! Please doctor, please help him!”

“Put him on the bed. I will take my kit.”  Jong Dae rushed into his desk and got his stethoscope, blood-pressure kit and thermometer. He didn’t even remember to put his doctor suit as he rushed back into the bed.  He then used the blood-pressure kit and measured the kid’s.

He then put his palm over the kid’s head and neck. The kid’s heart beats weren’t that good either. Jong Dae looked as serious as he examined the kid more. He then put down his stethoscope, “Ma’am, I will give prescription for him. He is indeed having a high fever but don’t worry, the fever is not that serious.”

“Thank God! Thank you, Doctor Kim.”

“Here,”  Jong Dae gave the paper after he wrote it down, “Just give this to Mrs. Choi outside. If you want, you can leave your son here. After you get your medicine, I will be happy to take you two back to your house with my car.”

“Oh, you don’t have to—“

“I insist. Carrying your son must be exhausted. You need to be healthy so you can treat your son. Please, let me do this. My practice time is over, too.”

The lady was holding her tears. Jong Dae was such a nice man and had a golden heart. She could see Jong Dae’s face was a bit pale but he was still worrying other people over himself.  She then said thank you and walked away from the room. Jong Dae then grabbed a blanket near the bed and covered the boy with it. He then walked into his desk again and texted Yi Xing.

Hyung, I need to leave for a while. If you get here before I come back, please make yourself comfortable with Mrs. Choi and Jin Ri.

Li Yin finally saw Jong Dae’s house….or maybe you can say house and workplace. It was a lovely house and had a big garden. The neighborhood was not so busy like in capitol and somehow it was like their previous houses’ neighborhood.

“It was quiet in here.”

“Jong Dae likes this kind of secluded surroundings. You can see his neighbors’ houses are quite afar from his house, and they are all like that.”

“He doesn’t like to take care of flowers.”  Li Yin remembered that Jong Dae hated to get dirty by soil. She still remembered when his mother asked him to help her to garden their garden. Jong Dae then ran away and hid in their house for several hours until his mother shouted, found him, and skewered his ears. He was literally crying and Li Yin could never forget how pitiful his face was.

“I think the mother-daughter team was on charge of those flowers.”  Yi Xing simply answered that as he took out the cake that they bought for the people in the house before.

Mrs. Choi then came out as Yi Xing’s car was easily seen from her cubicle.

“Welcome, Yi Xing-sshi and Li Yin-sshi. Jong Dae-ah has told us about your arrival. He is not here yet but he asked us to welcome you.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Choi. Here, it is for you all.”

“Thank you. Please, come in.”  They came into the living room. There was nothing to see. There are sofas and coffee table but that was it. The house wasn’t that warm as like on the front.

“There are not much visitors coming into the living room, so we don’t put many things here.”  Mrs. Choi came in as she brought drinks for them. “They use to go straight to the clinic.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Choi, for the drink.”

“It’s okay. Please enjoy the drink. I think Jong Dae-ah will come soon.”  Jin Ri then came out too carrying the cake that had just been cut for the visitors. She had quite hard time to bend and Yi Xing helped her.

“Thank you, Yi Xing-sshi.”

“No worries.”

“How’s your pregnancy?”  Li Yin asked. Jin Ri smiled happily.

“Little Sehunnie is fine!”

“What? ‘Little Sehunnie?’ ”  asked Li Yin again.

“Yep. I name this baby ‘Little Sehunnie.’ Well, his name will be Choi Se Hoon but I want to have a nickname for him. Is it cute?”

“Yes, it is.”

“You can rub him too and say hello to him.”  Jin Ri walked toward Li Yin, who was so happy to get this opportunity. She then rubbed the belly and said hi to the baby, which he replied by kicking Jin Ri’s belly. Jin Ri shrieked but then she smiled so happy, “good boy! You did a good job but I am hurt right now, Sehunnie!”

“Alright, Jin Ri, you can sit down at the back. Let them rest and not hear your whining to the baby.”  Mrs. Choi helped and dragged Jin Ri out of the siblings’ side and smiled to the guests.

“There are no pictures of girls. Jong Dae tells the truth. He really doesn’t have any girlfriends.”  Yi Xing rolled his eyes and Li Yin smirked playfully. She then sipped the tea in front of her and hummed happily.

“Jie?”

“Yes?”

“Have you ever thought that…..I don’t know….if Jong Dae has feelings for you?”  Li Yin looked to her little brother as he finished his question.

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t know, he might have it…..I mean, he does love you a lot. Don’t you think that—“

“Jong Dae is my little brother. He is our little brother,”  Li Yin cut Yi Xing’s words, “do not mention that thing again, especially in front of Jong Dae and Jun Su oppa.”

“But jie—“

“I say no!”  Li Yin yelled and she took down the cup hard which made the tea spoiled down into the coffee table. Yi Xing sighed.

“Hey, you are all here.”  Jong Dae came in after he parked his car. Yi Xing smiled and got up to hug Jong Dae. Li Yin too did the hug, despite the fact that Jong Dae looked really flustered and two of them were awkwardly doing the hug.

Yi Xing was such a person who could see such tiny details like the thing that just happened in front of him.

“I am sorry. A child was sick and his mother was carrying him all the way into this place. I didn’t have heart to let her go with carrying him back so I drove them to their house.”

“That is the Kim Jong Dae that I know.”

“You have never changed,”  Li Yin said that and she smiled. She then held Jong Dae’s hand, “Jong Dae-ah? You look a bit pale. Are you okay?”

“Ah? Oh, I am just tired. People are sick every day. I even think to move Jin Ri to Chan Yeol hyung’s house so that she and her baby will be safe, but she said she didn’t want it.”

“Chan Yeol?”  Yi Xing asked.

“He was my senior in university and now he is the doctor for Jin Ri.”

“But your face,”  Li Yin said that as she caressed his face gently, “you might have a fever. Have you eaten any medicine?”

Jong Dae took her hand from his face and squeezed it gently, “no, noona. I am not sick. I am just tired.”

“Okay, why are you guys here?”  Jong Dae asked when the atmosphere was fine again.

“Jie just want to see your house. She was curious about the look of it.”

“Turns out you are quite boring that I have expected,”  Li Yin said, “you haven’t even decorated this house.”

“I don’t think I have too.”

“Why?”

“I just think I don’t have too.”

“How if a girl comes here and sees that you have no taste at all? She can run from your life.”

“There is no girl coming here for a long time, except Jin Ri,”  Mrs. Choi suddenly showed up, “I am sorry but Jin Ri is whining about the cookies that she bought earlier and I forgot to serve them to you. Here you go.”  Jong Dae glared angrily to her but she scoffed.

“No one, Jong Dae? Really? I don’t think that you will be that unpopular.”  Li Yin then laughed hard after she said that, and Jong Dae pouted.

“Okay, now you see my house and mock my taste. What’s next?”

“Here.”  Li Yin laid down some magazines she had into the table. They were all dresses for marriage. “These are the best candidates to be my wedding gown. Please, Jong Dae, you are my man of honor. You should be the one who choose this.”

“You should be, and with Jun Su hyung.”

“He said he didn’t want to choose unless you chose. He really likes you, Jong Dae-ah. He even feels so confused on why you don’t want to meet us.”

“I want to, but the clinic is too busy. You see I just took my patient to his home.”

“Okay, but could you tell him directly? He feels like you don’t like him at all.”  Jong Dae bit his lower lip, a sign that he was confused. He couldn’t say that he disliked the guy but he did not like Jun Su, for the obvious reason: he would marry his dream girl.

“You also have to help me to get around searching the best price for venues, cakes, souvenirs, and everything. I even want you to choose color theme for my wedding, and that is including my bridesmaids’ dresses color.”

“What will Yi Xing hyung do then?”  Jong Dae tried to stir the focus but it didn’t work out as Li Yin said, “Yi Xing is the best man for Jun Su. His brother is still in States so he can’t come; Yi Xing is his replacement.”

“Jun Su hyung has a brother?”

“A twin, in fact. I have seen him when he visited Jun Su oppa in France. He has married and he is now working at States. He sent regards and sorry for not coming.”  Jong Dae didn’t know that. He should know as he was the man of honor. He should know who the guests were. But he couldn’t stand to see Li Yin and Jun Su together. That was hurting him again.

“Could you just pinpoint one of the dresses and then I can bring it to Jun Su’s mother? She is quiet agitated with my choice to you and said that you were not paying any attention to this.”

“Jie, I think you shouldn’t push Jong Dae too hard. He is working alone in this area. You can tell her that she should shut up.”

“Yi Xing!”

“What? I am telling the truth.”

“That’s okay, hyung. I have accepted to become the man of honor. I should do the work. I will go to Seoul, actually. Jin Ri needs to move closer to the hospital. I have reminded people here that I will close the clinic for, like, one or two months, depends on the time of the baby’s arrival. I can work as the real man in honor for that.”  That was true, though. However, Jong Dae didn’t want to call Li Yin about this thing.

Yi Xing frowned and then sighed. Jong Dae was too kind to be true. He should get angry and then asked them to walk away from the house, but no. He accepted them and even told them that he would move to Seoul for couple months.

“Where will you stay then? Your parents are not in the capitol.”

“I have a cousin. His name is Joon Myeon. He is living in capitol and glad to accept three of us.”

“We never know that.”  Li Yin spoke.

“Our parents weren’t so close but we made ourselves close during my time in university.”  Jong Dae simply answered and then he looked into the dresses’ photos. They were all beautiful and Li Yin would be beautiful on those dresses.

If only the man that she will walk into is him…..

“Noona, I think this dress is good for you.”  Jong Dae chose one of the photos and Li Yin’s face was lightened up.

“I choose this one too! Jong Dae! You always know what I like and what I want!” She said that with happy face and smiled brightly. She then took the photo, “okay. I now can say to my future mother-in-law that I have the best man in honor and she can say nothing bad about it!”

Yi Xing just sipped the tea as he saw Jong Dae’s fake smile to reply Li Yin’s enthusiastic explanation about the venue. He could see Jong Dae’s pale face. The boy was on the turbulence of both psychical and mental pain. He kept smiling despite the truth that all of these were breaking him.

“So, I think we should go on the garden party. What do you say?”

“I am okay with that.”

“The guests have to be just 100 people.”

“Are you sure?”  Jong Dae asked, “I ask this because I know Jun Su hyung’s family is somewhat famous and they surely have many guests to come to.”

“I know, but I want this wedding to be private enough. 100 people is enough.”

“Okay. Does hyung agree?”

“He always agrees. He wants a small wedding too, but we have to accommodate his mother’s wishes.”

“I take this as the sign that the mother isn’t quite a nice mother-in-law to be.”

“No, she is nice, but….you know, those high-class women.”  Li Yin sighed, “Jong Dae, please stand by my side throughout my life so that I will not change into that kind of women.”

Jong Dae smiled warmly, “I can’t guarantee that.”

“What? Where will you go? You can’t go from me! I need you!”

“Okay!”  Jong Dae shouted as Li Yin was whining while grabbing his collar, like the old times when she asked Jong Dae to do something, “I will think about that proposition.”

“That’s still the same.”

“I said to you I couldn’t guarantee.”

“Hello.”  Suddenly, someone was coming. Jong Dae’s face lit up when he saw the guy, “Baek Hyun-ah! Please, come in!”

Baek Hyun bowed to all of them and presented himself, “he is my drug supplier slash my friend back from university. Baek Hyun, these are Zhang siblings.”

“Oh, hello there.”  Baek Hyun knew Jong Dae’s feelings and the reality, since he talked with Jin Ri before he came there.  “I think I go to where Jin Ri is. I can’t wait to see the bump.”

“They are on the clinic. You can meet them there.”

Baek Hyun walked into the room and then met the mother and the daughter. They were so happy seeing him.

“Baek Hyun-sshi, why are you coming here?”  Mrs. Choi asked to him when Baek Hyun finally sat and made himself comfortable. Baek Hyun opened the bag and he gave her folder.

“What is this?”

“It’s for Jong Dae.”

“What is the content?”  Jin Ri asked.

“It is his scholarship invitation. He made my address as the mail address so it came here. It says that he is accepted and he can get his specialist degree in States.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, but the problem is…..the program wants him to go there two months more for the preparation first.”

Mrs. Choi and Jin Ri gasped. “Doesn’t that mean…”

“It will be soon that Jong Dae has to leave this country. I was about to say that when I heard the girl asked him to stay here forever. I just couldn’t say this in front of them.”

I fulfill the promise :)

@nizzyool: I made her character like that, since chen needs a cheerful characted next to him to cheer him up.....and yes SM is always like that. They like to troll us until the end of the world :)

@chocophins: I see you can see that. But did you see chen's departure is coming? hahahaha....I am so sorry for not bringing much suyin (that is why I didn't tag suyin for this story) because I will focus on chenyin and the up and down of their relationship.

and to other subscriber, silent readers, and everyone, thank you!

please comment :))))))))

PS. HAVE YOU SEEN EXO'S COMEBACK PHOTOS? They are confusing (for me) as some people say that the theme of this comeback will be vampire. I was like....what? Aliens, werewolves, christmas elves, and now, vampires? What would be next? They would be hollow men (if I am not mistaken, that is how man-fairies are called) coming from Pixie Hollows? I still am okay with the news and still waiting for the next news.

Maybe I am not that excited because of EXO's fans behaviour (okay, just little bit of them)

Oh yeah, about the dress that jongdae chose for liyin, here it is:

I just like the dress hahahaha, and it is not fluffly so yeah, it matches her wish :)

thank you

XOXO
