It’s dark out in the audience.

Sehun pulls at his tie, suddenly too tight around his neck (eliciting the immediate tsk-ing of coordi-noonas), breathing in and out heavily.

It’s by no means his first performance, and he shouldn’t feel so nervous.

But it’s the first performance with you out there, and he’s suddenly feeling the pressure.

"Shixun," he hears a soft voice, and a pat on the back, "don’t worry. She’ll love it."

Sehun purses his lips, but nods, making his way to a rising platform as he’s checked to make sure all his tech is functioning.

Far too soon, he hears applause, and Baekhyun, Kyungsoo, and Jongdae are coming backstage.

"Good luck," Jongdae whispers into his ear with a smarmy wink, and Sehun nearly laughs.

It’s go time.

The music for his solo starts, and the platform rises. As it goes up, the volume of the crowd increases. He keeps his head down, but his body is thrumming with energy and he itches to look up, to search through the crowd.
