In Canada

                It was a chilly morning when you arrived. You were surprised that there were a lot of people at the arrivals. You continued walking out the airport when you suddenly heard girls screaming “Kris! Kris! Oppa!” I must be out of my mind. You continued walking and hailed a cab.

The night of the reunion

                You wore a simple blue tube dress that reached your knees. You pulled your hair up and did your make –up. You were nervous. Will he be there? You thought and walked out to hail a cab.

You were sipping your punch and socializing with old friends. Your eyes scanning the place. Suddenly, someone taps your shoulder. You turn around and your heart skips a beat. A man with chocolate brown eyes, dirty blond hair and exquisite facial features great you. He whispers your name. “Kris.” You whisper back.

“it’s been a while. How have you been?” he asks.

“I’ve been well. You?”

“it’s been good.” He smiles. That breath taking smile that made your insides melt.

You just stared at him.

“it’s been 5 years. You look great. You’ve changed a lot” he remarked

“I could say the same about you.” You looked down

“it’s still me.” He suddenly holds your hand

“shall we dance?” as he pulls you to the dance floor. You just nodded and followed him. You were so mesmerized.

                As you started to return to reality you finally heard the song playing. It was your theme song. You looked up to see his face. He was looking down at you and smiling. You looked into his eyes and saw a fleet of emotions. Happiness, admiration, regret and love?

                You suddenly backed away as if you were burned by his touch. You hastily made your way out of the hall and into a corridor leading to the main library. This was a path you have known so well. This was the place where you find your peace of mind. Luckily the library was open. You went to the farthest corner and placed your head on the table. You started to cry. You couldn’t hold back the feelings. Everything was overwhelming. The chair in front of you suddenly creaks as it was pulled back.

                Kris whispers your name. Then you suddenly hear his chuckle.

“what’s so funny?” you asked

“just like the old days” he looked at you

“what?” you asked, confused

“this was the place where I first confessed to you.” He looked at you

“I wasn’t crying that time.” You said

“can we start over?” he asked.
