You and Kris have been married for 10 years now. The two of you live in the quiet suburbs in Canada. The two of you work at home most of the time because the two of you agreed that you’d rather spend time with your family rather than work.

“mommy!”

“hi baby” you say as your oldest daughter comes running into your library quickly followed by Kris who has your youngest sitting on his shoulders

You stand up and hug your daughter.

“so, what did you and dad do today?” you ask as you squish her cheeks

“daddy, brought us to the park! We played on the swing and slide. We also played tag!” your daughter laughs

“come on! It’s time for a shower. You guys are already stinky” you playfully scrunch your nose

“I’m not smelly!” your youngest say

“yes, you are. Now come on, let’s get you into the hot tub so that you guys could take a nap” you say

“will daddy shower too?” your daughter asks

“daddy will shower later” Kris says and lifts your daughter

When the kids have been bathe and put to bed for a nap, you go to the kitchen and prepare tea. You were sitting on the breakfast counter when Kris enters the kitchen with something behind his back

“what do you have on your back?” you ask

Kris just slowly walks towards you. He suddenly pulls out the bouquet of red roses from his back

“happy anniversary” he says and kisses you.
