Kai ran his fingers through her hair precariously.

“It’s so… blonde.”

Krystal rolled her eyes. “Great observation skills, Sherlock. Is there anything else you want to tell me? The sky is blue? The grass is green? A cat goes meow, and a dog goes woof?”

“You think you’re so funny,” Kai muttered, sweeping all of Krystal’s hair towards him as he sat cross-legged behind her. “I just think it’s unusual, is all.”

“Unusual?” Krystal nearly shrieked with laughter. “Don’t you remember how many times you’ve been dyed blonde?”

“By this point, I think I’ve lost count,” he admitted.

“Doesn’t surprise me.”

“Oh, shut up.”

Using two of his fingers, Kai divided Krystal’s hair into three sections. Then he started plaiting them, pulling one strand over the other and repeating the steps until weaving it into a platinum braid that reached just below Krystal’s shoulder blades.

“You know,” she said as he continued braiding, “you’re really good at this.”

Kai’s brows twitched at the smirk in her voice; and slowly, he could feel the heat spreading like a wildfire across his face. For once, he was glad that Krystal wasn’t looking at him—but like always, he wished she would stop finding something to tease about.

Fixing his eyes on her hair and trying his best not to sound too defensive, Kai mumbled, “Shut up.”

At that, Krystal only smiled and shook her head. “Never.”

author's note: Hey, guys! How's it been? :D I haven't updated this collection in for-ever; and the last time I did, it was angst, so I felt a fluff injection was in order. This drabble is pretty short, but it's not like I can bust out 1,000+ words on Kai braiding Krystal's hair. That would be overkill lol.
