Petals
Those Unspoken Thoughtsthey love me, they love me not.
Not. The last petal said no. Makes sense doesn't it, she had always thought so. Why even bother hoping that they would feel otherwise? The pile of pink spots lay forgotten on the ground, pretty much like how she was treated. Never to be casted another look their way again, just like how no one spared her another glance. Funny how she keeps hoping, praying that things would change. Maybe today they will remember it's my birthday. Maybe they will listen to my stories. One can always hope can't they?
A pretty child she had always been. Not stunning in the way cover girls looked like but sweet, like the spring. A flower in full bloom. a pity that flowers were mostly put on display but not fully appreciated much like how she felt. She was a wallflower to be exact always hiding in the shadows hoping, praying that someday someone would see her the way she was, truly appreciate the sight and scent of a flower.
"I'm worthless", she whispers to no one. Not that anyone cares, she thinks.
A forlorn figure leaning against the chipped brick wall of the school wall. Drip. a drop of water falls onto the yellow leaves on the ground next to her. She stares up into the clear blue sky, it's raining. But is it? The same sky she is looking at is clear as ever. rubbing her cheeks, she realises that they are wet. ah, so it was her. The skies aren't crying but deep within, a soul is begging to be saved.
If only i was top in class, if only i was more diligent. The list goes on but never will she be able to match up to her siblings. But no, never will she be as good which is fitting cause she was always viewed as the weakest link. The one that was the most vulnerable in breaking any bonds which was why people always left her. They come and go like the wind and when the wind blows, just like the flower she is, she bends and breaks. Vulnerable as ever.
And like a flower, someday soon she will wilt.
