“Yah! Jung Yunho! Give me your cellphone.”

If Karam had been worried the day before about Changmin’s ex-boyfriend eating lunch with them, he wasn’t now. Jaejoong and Yunho only paid attention to Jaejoong and Yunho.

                “Why?”

“Because I don’t have your number.”

Pouting, Yunho dug his phone out of his bag to hand to his boyfriend of the week, though he didn’t exactly see the beautiful male that way. Yunho looked at this more as a friendship that might last past next Monday. “Don’t send me weird texts.”

Looking up from where he’d been about to do something that might be considered sending a weird text, Jaejoong scrunched up his nose. “What counts as a weird text?”

Shrugging, Yunho bit back his grin as he kept his gaze on the other male. “Knowing what I do of you, I would say anything that you text me is probably going to be weird.”

Smirking, Jaejoong finished the text he’d been about to send. “So then your rule of not texting you anything weird doesn’t apply to me.”

“More like, you can’t text me at all.”

Laughing, Jaejoong hit the other male on the arm. “Come on! I should get special treatment.”

Rubbing his sore arm and pretending that he was hurt worse than he was, Yunho scooted away from the male he was supposedly dating just as his phone beeped to alert him to a new message. “I might just delete it without even looking because you’re mean.”

Laughing again, Jaejoong scooted closer to Yunho to help the bigger man rub his arm. “I’m not sorry. You deserved it.”

                “You’re lucky that you’re cute.”

Even if Yunho didn’t notice the way that Jaejoong blushed, Changmin did. The younger boy held Karam’s hand under the table as the two ate, or tried to eat. The task was difficult when the two supposedly older boys sitting on the other side acted anything but their age. Then again, it was sort of nice to see Jaejoong acting like a teenage boy rather than a puppet or robot. Even if this week ended only in friendship, Changmin was glad it was happening.

“We should head back inside now. Want me to walk you home after school?”

Jaejoong blinked a couple of times before he realized that Yunho really had asked him if they could walk home together after school. He hadn’t been expecting that from the other boy. Sure, they were technically in a relationship, but it was one that Jaejoong found he was quite comfortable in because no one was pushing themselves on him. “Really?”

Chuckling, Yunho finished packing up the rest of his trash before nodding towards Jaejoong. “Of course. I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t mean it.”

Beaming up at the slightly taller male, Jaejoong couldn’t help but feel a bit giddy. He rather liked spending time with Yunho. “Okay! I’ll see you out front after school then.”

Staring at the spot the smiling male had been in, Yunho tried to process what he’d just seen. He knew that Jaejoong was beautiful, but when that boy smiled….

Snapping his fingers in front of Yunho’s face, Changmin didn’t bother to hold back his smirk. “You’re walking hyung home?”

Yunho grabbed his stuff while avoiding Changmin’s gaze. He knew the younger was going to say or do something that would make him embarrassed, so he avoided him. “Yep.”

                “Just the two of you?”

                “Why would anyone else come?”

“So you want to know where he lives.”

Letting out a sigh, Yunho had to give the younger boy credit for trying. “More like, we’re friends and friends hang out.”

Pointing from his hyung to himself, Changmin frowned. “We’re friends and we don’t hang out outside of school.”

Karam couldn’t help but giggle as Yunho rolled his eyes.

“There is a reason for that, Min. You’re a jerk.”

Gasping, Changmin clutched one hand to his chest while the other brought Karam in for a hug. Hiding his face, the taller boy pretended to be hurt. “You wound me, hyung! I thought I was your best friend.”

Yunho was about to tell Changmin that he could keep dreaming until he realized that the younger’s statement was true. No one else really took the time to talk to him. Yunho still couldn’t figure out why Changmin didn’t just walk away like everyone else when Yunho showed disinterest. “Nope, that’s Karam.”

Changmin only tightened his grip on his smaller lover. “Betrayal! You’ll run away together and be best friends forever!”

Giggling full out, Karam tried to console his wailing lover, but couldn’t due to the fact that he couldn’t breathe. In the end he just rubbed their noses together.

Yunho couldn’t help but make gagging noises as he threw away his trash and headed for the school. They had to hurry if they didn’t want to be late. “I might just puke because of the cuteness.”

                “Jealous~”

Karam made certain to smirk at the senior as Yunho waved back at them. “I have a feeling he won’t be for long. Jaejoong hyung seems to like him.”

Changmin gave the shorter boy a quick kiss before pulling him along towards the school. “Only if Yunho hyung isn’t an idiot.”

Laughing as they separated, Karam waved goodbye before rushing off to his classroom.

Taking his time, Changmin thought over Yunho and Jaejoong’s situation. The two seemed to flirt a lot, though neither one seemed to realize that that was what they were doing. Those  boys were idiots and Changmin thought about telling Yunho that he thought as much, but the senior’s small smile while he sat in his chair just waiting for their afternoon classes to start made Changmin hold back the comment. Stupid Yunho looked so happy.

The afternoon was just as boring as his morning, but at least Yunho had walking Jaejoong home to look forward to. The senior couldn’t believe that he and the other boy had been in the same grade for so long without knowing each other. They turned out to have similar senses of humor and could talk to one another easily. Meeting Jaejoong was a great thing. Something that Yunho knew he’d never regret.

Leaving his classroom at the end of the day, the senior moved down the halls, ignoring the looks and whispers about him from his classmates, to where Jaejoong was waiting in front of the school. Some of the other students were quite put out that Yunho had snagged Jaejoong for the week. Changmin had said it was because Yunho was thought to be almost unattainable because of his cool and distant attitude towards everyone. Jaejoong was someone sought after and they were a good match. Some of the kids routed for them. Others were insanely jealous. Yunho thought they were idiots since he and Jae were nothing more than friends.

The smile that just wouldn’t leave his face all afternoon disappeared at the sight of Jaejoong attempting to pull his hand away from some girl with a death grip on his wrist. Yunho had a feeling he knew what was going on, and he didn’t like it. “Yah! What are you doing?”

Jaejoong froze at the sound of Yunho’s voice. This wasn’t how he wanted the other to find him. He liked Yunho. They were becoming fast friends, but this situation wasn’t innocent. “Yunho!”

Ignoring Jaejoong, Yunho towered over the girl still holding onto Jaejoong. “I asked you what you were doing.”

The quiet fury of the senior caused the girl to tremble before releasing Jaejoong’s wrist. “I was writing my name on him.”

That squeak of an answer wasn’t what Yunho wanted to hear. “Why? Wasn’t he clearly saying no? Besides, you can’t.”

Finding some courage that quickly evaporated after she spoke, the girl frowned at the other male. “Because whoever writes their name on him first gets him for a week and there isn’t a name on his hand.”

“Gets him for a week? Do you think Jaejoong is some sort of possession? Are you stupid? Besides, he’s got a name on him. Mine. If you know what’s good for you, you won’t ever touch something of mine again.”

                “I don’t see it!”

“Because Jaejoong isn’t something to be labeled or collared like an animal. I wrote my name, yes, because that’s how it works, but I did it somewhere where only he and I would see because we’re the only two that actually need to know. This relationship is between us. If you touch him again, I won’t go easy on you.”

Jaejoong barely had time to let Yunho’s words sink in before his hand was grabbed, this time by a larger hand and in a more comfortable way, and he was dragged away from the school and the group of students that had surrounded them. “Yunho?”

“I’m sorry, Jae. I was just… Don’t let other people touch you so carelessly. You’re better than that. You’re better than them.”

Out of everyone that Jaejoong had ever dated, Yunho was definitely different. The boy didn’t treat him as something to show off on his arm. Nor did he do everything in his power to make Jaejoong like him. In fact, Yunho was the first person that Jaejoong felt comfortable just being himself around. This was strange, this was different, but Jaejoong liked it. Just like he liked the hand that never released his.

A/N: Happy Holidays everyone!

Chapter 9: Here again for the second time^^ I had an urge to read this story like really bad for many days but I forgot it's title as I read it many years back.. I had to go through each of my subscription to find this piece of art and I'm more than glad I did! I fell in love with 'Yunjae's love' in this story when I read it for the first time and I'm sure that I'll be forever in love after reading it for the second time. .. I think I'll find myself here again and again in the future! I must say this story has a charm that doesn't allows your mind to forget about it.
