Chapter 9 – Jokes aside & let's go back to Erine's srs mafia business

Hyuna turned her head to the chalet and she could’ve sworn she saw something moving at one of the windows…. Wait, why was that window even open in this cold weather?

When Kyungri sensed the duo turning, she quickly ducked under the window, praying she wasn’t noticed. Her heart beat fast and she took out her phone from her bed after crawling on all fours.

Sera felt something vibrate near her hand and she noticed she couldn’t get the object from the inside of Hyuna’s coat.

“Hey, I think someone texted you...”

“Oh? Lemme see.”

She reached for her pocket while still locking the shorter one in her ped coat. She flipped the lock screen open and cocked an eyebrow seeing the unusual text.

Unnie, I need to speak to you ASAP. Come to my room, quick!

“Wow, not even saying “Please~”. Is she ordering me, tch, younglings these days,” mumbled Hyuna.

Sera looked at her with concern. “Is something wrong?”

She simple nodded. “Yeah, someone needs me inside… You should get back inside too, it’s quite cold.”

Hyuna broke the hug and lent her coat before running inside “I wonder who that is…” Sera thought, staring at the top of the chalet. No questions were asked.

 Sera walked inside and hung the coat near the rests on the wall and placed neatly her penguin beanie aside. She peaked into the dark room and watched the trio, minus Kyungri. Eunji was about to walk in at the same time and decided to startle the leader with a hug.

The short yelp caught everyone’s attention, turning the room into a silence. Eunji grinned when Sera puffed her cheeks and flicked her nose before grinning and sitting in between everyone along Eunji.

“Girl, did you fight a random ninja that jumped from the toilet seat for you to take this long?” Erine crossed her arms.

Sera’s expression went to a serious one. “Omg yes! He had a sword this huge!” She opened her arms, mocking the size, “and I had to fight him with my bare hands and toilet paper! I threw the shower curtain over his head and strangled him until he admitted defeat, which was his sole weakness. You guys don’t know what I go through to save this household,” she faked a sigh with her palm on her forehead.

Everyone listened carefully and even let out a round of applause, cheering the shortie.

“I admit unnie is so awesome, you’re my role model honestly,” added Minha, getting elbowed as a response.

Pyo was abruptly cut when a loud kakao notification sound came out of Sera’s front pocket. “Wait a minute, Hyemi~”

Miss Snaggletooth crossed her arms, unhappy a phone had won over her, and she grumbled in her corner but soon attacked back when she heard the interesting subject of conversation.

“Oh is that your foreign friend with the y pictures?” Sem loved over Erine’s shoulder and received a jab in her stomach by the latter.

“Yah, what do you mean by that?!” Monkey face glared at her.

Sem gritted her teeth not to kill her that instant and took her face lovingly. “Do that again and I’ll make sure you regret it. Every. Damn. Day,” she added with a forced smile despite the pain.

Erine gulped hard and hugged her quickly, rubbing her tummy. “I’m sorry, dear, it’s just my ape reflexes, I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” she sniffled.
