We went down the trail and in a while, we caught sight of the town. It was just a small business town with different small businesses. It looked like a neighborhood supermarket.

As we entered the town, everyone greeted us with “Good Day!”, “Wonderful weather we’re having!”, “Would you like to try this/that?”

It seems overwhelming but people here are really nice. They seem to love visitors. It feels really nice.

Although something about this place feels really nostalgic. For some reason, I feel like I’ve been here before.

“Oh! Oh! Look over there! Over there!” Cheolyong said while pulling me somewhere. As I darted my eyes to where we were headed, he was amazed to see a shop full of cutie stuffed toys, figurines, and other cute stuff.

I chuckled at Cheolyong. He’s so cute when he sees cute stuff, he just acts just like a child. Oh!

“Look! Look!” he said as he pointed out to all the things in the shop.

“You seem to like these things. Would you like to look around?” the owner of the shop suddenly offered. Of course without any second thought, Cheolyong immediately said yes.

He went in the shop and as I followed him, something caught my attention. I stopped on my tracks and I reached out for an item.

It was a figurine of a couple. The veil, tux and dress was silky but the figures were porcelain. It looked really familiar as if I’ve seen it before.

“Oh you have good eyes.” I heard the shop owner say. I didn’t even spare him a glance, I just looked at the figurine. “Why do you say so?” I asked.

“That figurine was based from a very memorable couple in our town. That couple continued to stay together through all odds. But it was a tragic story.” The store owner said.  

“Oh. That seems awful.” I said as if knowing what he was talking about.

“Oh do you know about that story?” a deep voice suddenly asked me.

Out of nowhere Changsun’s smile suddenly appeared in my head.

I closed my eyes and I shook my head, thinking that I’m becoming really weird but as I opened my eyes, the man I saw in my head was standing in front of me with the same smile I envisioned.

“C-Changsun…” I called out, stuttering with a sense of surprise.

“You seem to be everywhere I am. Are you following me?” he asked with that super cute smile. “N-no way! I’m here with my…” I started but someone suddenly pulled me.

“Sanghyun!!! You’re here! I thought I lost you!” Cheolyong said as he hugged me tightly. “Hey, I need air…” I said as he hugged me tightly.

“Oh…” he suddenly let me go. “Sorry.” He said as he smiled at me.

“Oh Cheolyongie…” I grunted. “Omo… Hi there!” Cheolyong suddenly waved at Changsun who, in return, smiled back.

“Is he the cutie you were staring at a while ago?” Cheolyong whispered to me and I just blushed at the mere thought of it. “Are you alright?” I heard Changsun ask with worry.

“Oh don’t worry. He just turns red a lot.” Cheolyong suddenly defended. “I’m Cheolyong, by the way. Sanghyun’s best friend.” Cheolyong said while reaching out his hand. Changsun looked at his hand and reached out for it then he shook it. “I’m Changsun. Nice to meet you.” He said.

“So are you two out to have some fun?” Changsun asked and Cheolyong immediately nodded. “Of course! We need to have fun! This is a new place so we need to go around and have fun!” Cheolyong declared.

I grunted, feeling a bit embarrassed about him but Changsun just chuckled at him. “Well, let me be your guide. I know the places around so I can surely show you the fun places!” Changsun offered. I was about to decline it but… “That’s PERFECT!” Cheolyong immediately cut me off.

“Uhm… Let me just talk to him for a moment…” I said as I pulled Cheolyong away from earshot.

“Yah… What are you doing? I thought we’re supposed to be going on an adventure?” I whispered.

“We are! But I just can’t let grace go. I mean… Look at this cutie, he’s already offering himself. And if I’m not mistaken, it’s because of you!” Cheolyong said as he nudged me. “What are you talking about? Even if he is interested in me, I can’t return it because I already have Seungho!” I told Cheolyong.

“That’s the point.” Cheolyong said. I rolled my eyes and I slapped his arm. “Well you should give the guy a chance. I mean… Seungho’s really nice.” I said, trying to defend Seungho.

He grimaced at me as if I said the most disgusting thing in the whole world. “Well… I’m not giving that jerk another chance but I’m giving you one.” He said.

“Giving me a chance? What— ugh! Are you telling me you’d rather see me with Changsun than Seungho?” I asked with sarcasm in my voice.

He suddenly beamed at me and he had this wide smile on his face. I immediately slapped his arm. “You evil being! I won’t exchange Seungho with another man.” I said and he blew air in his cheeks.

“Well fine. But think about it. He’s offering himself as a tour guide and he doesn’t even know us. Meanwhile, the man you’ve been desperately defending is where? If I may ask.” He answered me with sarcasm too.

I sighed and I glanced at Changsun. He was staring at the figurine that I was holding a while ago. There was something different with the way he stared at the figurine… As if he was filled with sadness. His eyes seem like they were about to tear up.

“So are you falling for him already?” Cheolyong suddenly asked and I immediately glared at him. “No I’m not.” I answered.

“Well it’s unusual for you to stare at a person… you know you only do that when you’re interested in something or someone.” Cheolyong reasoned and I couldn’t help but bite my lower lip.

He’s right.

“Whatever. Let’s just go and get on with the adventure then. But can we go get something to eat first?” I asked and Cheolyong just gave me an assuring smile.

“Well it’s settled! You’re our tour guide for today!” Cheolyong said and Changsun smiled at him. He put the figurine down and he looked at me right after. He gave me a small smile and I couldn’t help but smile back.

But all of a sudden, a monster appeared and roared in hunger!

Okay… That was random but seriously… There was a roar… It’s not a monster though.

“Well, I guess we better go somewhere to eat first.” Changsun said while chuckling and I felt really embarrassed. “Well what’s their specialty around here?” Cheolyong asked.

“(What Doongie likes)” Changsun answered and my mouth started to water at the mere thought of it.

“Let’s go!” I initiated and we all started walking.

But right before I left the shop, I heard the shop owner say…

“Finally…”

I wrinkled my forehead as I looked at him but he was nowhere to be found.

Changsun guided us to a house and he suddenly said, “Well we’re here.” Cheolyong and I looked at him with confused faces and he chuckled again.

“This is the town’s restaurant. It’s really cozy and the food is to die for.” Changsun said. ”And the old lady who owns this place is very adorable.” Changsun explained.

I sighed and we went inside.

“Wow… This place looks so nice.” Cheolyong said.

Inside the house were tables and chairs, a countertop, an inside veranda and everyone seems to have a smile on their faces. It looked really nice. And Changsun was right, it felt cozy.

“Good day! How many— Oh Changsun! I almost didn’t recognize you!” an old lady said as she hugged Changsun.

“Nice to see you again. I’ll be having a table for three today. I’m acting as tour guide for them.” Changsun said as he glanced a smile for us.

Even though it was just a glance, I felt my heart tickle with excitement.

“I’m really amused to watch you right now. It’s like watching you fall in love all over again.” Cheolyong giggled and I nudged him.

“Oh it’s nice of you to bring in friends! You’re always alone whenever you come visit.” The old lady told Changsun, then she turned to us. “You know, this guy here usually goes here when he’s in love or broken hearted. You should always go here with him so he won’t be such a loner!” the old lady said and we saw Changsun blush with what she said.

“Ahh… ahjumma… don’t say such things to them. They’ll believe you.” Changsun said.

I giggled at the sudden change of attitude. He was acting so cool and chic a while ago that it feels refreshing to see him act like a child.

“Aigooo… Omo! Don’t tell me that they’re not just friends? Ah! Congratulations for bringing a lover here! Which of them is it?” the old lady suddenly asked.

“Ah ahjumma don’t suddenly jump into conclusions!” Changsun said.

“Ahjumma, it’s this guy over here.” I heard Cheolyong say. And out of nowhere, I felt two hands push my back towards Changsun. I didn’t do it on purpose but I suddenly tripped and Changsun caught me. I gasped at the sudden contact.

As I looked up, I immediately saw Changsun’s worry-filled face hovering over mine.

“Are you alright?” he asked.

The mere point that his face is so close to mine, made my heart beat so fast that I almost forgot to breathe.

“Aigooo… young people nowadays. They tend to be really sweet and make everyone else jealous.” I heard the old lady say.

“Yeah. You said it ahjumma!” I heard Cheolyong say.

Changsun helped me up and I immediately glared at Cheolyong.

“Aren’t they a cute pair ahjumma? I really like them to pair up but this friend is acting really strange.” Cheolyong said. I wrinkled my forehead and I was about to tell them that I have a bf when all of a sudden, the old lady beamed at me.

I don’t know why but the way she looked at me felt like… It felt familiar. As if she’s been waiting for this moment to happen.

“Oh everyone! My little Changsun is in a relationship again!” the old lady announced and I was about to say something but…

“Ahjumma, don’t say such things. We’re not—” Changsun tried to defend but the old lady seemed to look so happy that she didn’t listen to us at all.

“Well, whatever you’re getting today will be on the house! No, I’ll just serve the best cuisines we have!”  The old lady said and she giggled towards the kitchen.

“Ugh… I’m sorry. That ahjumma is just always like that.” Changsun said.

“Seems like she’s really happy to see that you’re in a relationship. I bet you’ve always been showing a frowning face every time you’re here that’s why she’s acting up like that.” Cheolyong said as he looked at the direction where the old woman went.

I looked at Changsun’s face and he had this glow that I couldn’t explain. He was also looking at the direction that the old woman went. “Yeah… You’re right. This is probably the second time I’m seeing her that happy.” Changsun said.

“When was the first?” I unconsciously asked.

“When I met my first love.” He said as he smiled at me. The way he said that had a glow in his eyes that meant he remembered her.

“Well where is that person?” Cheolyong asked.

“Somewhere.” Changsun looked away with a smile still evident on his lips. I couldn’t help but smile as well.

“Well let’s go and have a seat. I’m sure she’ll bring us a feast.” Changsun said.

True enough, when the old lady came back she served a lot of food. I know I’m hungry and all but I’m not sure I can eat all of this in one sitting. I guess she really is overjoyed that Changsun is in a relationship.

Ehem! sorry for not updating for a while, but I hope you all forgive me for giving you a long chapter. hihihi.

This story is something that kind of feels natural for me... One and only reason is because...........it's a secret. hahaha!
