 ‘What Aleyna said was the truth’ Jihyo said breaking the silent in the living room

‘I knew it! The other spiritual seers were lying, weren’t they?’ I questioned

Anger rising of unfair treatment for Aleyna.

‘They were telling the truth too. What they saw was indeed correct in some interpretations.’ Byul added

‘What do you mean?’ I asked confused

‘The spiritual seers saw the ghost there displayed on the TV. But Aleyna saw through the entire house that the presenter was talking about.’ Byul explained ‘ Aleyna senses is stronger then those seers.’

‘Then, just as Aleyna said…’ I trailed

‘There is a ghost of a murdered woman’ Jihyo confirmed ‘She also saw the other ghost who lost his life in a war.’

‘Why didn’t Aleyna say that?’ I questioned

‘Because it would have been pointless’ Byul stated

‘The other spiritual seers couldn’t see the girl’s ghost. To explain something to other who can’t see or feel it incredibly difficult. Isn’t it?’ Jihyo questioned me

I nod looking down ‘Yes’ I agreed

‘Sometimes people will deny the things they cannot understand or grasp.’ Jihyo spoke ‘They may even categorize things that do not fit into the world they are comfortable with as bad.’

Byul sighed ‘If only they could just leave things they don’t know as simply that.’ She commented before standing up still holding my hand

I looked at Byul confused ‘where are you….’ ‘Yunho’s out front’ Max cut me off

Byul smiled ‘C’mon let go to Aleyna.’ She said

I returned her smile and nodded ‘let’s go.’ I said getting up.

‘Be back early for Dinner!’ Micky exclaimed grinning

‘Be back early and make dinner Jaejoong!!!’ Junsu added grinning

‘I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that.’ I mumbled earning a chuckle from Byul who heard me.

-To Aleyna’s House-

The three of us walk through the city trying to get to Aleyna’s house fast, but onl to stop briefly and was surprised to see how big a deal it was of news about Aleyna.

‘Let’s just get to Aleyna quick.’ Yunho said sternly and annoyed

I nod pulling Byul’s hand ‘let’s go.’ I said

Reaching to Aleyna’s House was no better then it was in the city…it was worst

‘Paparazzi…’ I uttered shocked

Surrounding Aleyna’s house, outside her gates were groups of reporter and cameramen. All shouting at Aleyna’s house telling her to come out or just snapping pictures of how wreck her house was.

I frowned ads I pushed through the reporters ‘Excuse me!’ I snapped loudly making my way through, hold Byul’s hand tighter to help her through.

‘Onlookers should get out of the way!’ an angry reporter snapped angrily at me not happy to be pushed

‘You’re a nuisance!’ many others shouted

‘Please move out of the way!’ I shouted

Fighting a little harder finally reached the gate and opened it. But one of the reporters became aggressive grabbing Byul’s shoulder pulling her back. Byul gasped startled and surprised

I growled ‘GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER!’ I snapped angrily ripping his hands away from Byul and pulled her behind me

Yunho stood beside me glaring at the reporters, his anger raising and showing. ‘Youse have no right for your actions or to be here.’ He demand sternly ‘Leave’

‘Hey, who are you? Are you an acquaintance of hers?’

‘What’s your name?’

‘Answer us!’

‘They are F***en Insane.’ I cursed fuming at how persistent the reporters were.

But my thoughts and body tensed…feeling a sudden change of aura. It was cold and dark. I heard gasps and gulping, looking back at the reporters they too seemed tensed…and scared? Their eyes were wide and alert staring pass me…

‘Dose doing these kind of things to a child, satisfy you all that much.’ Byul’s voice low and dangerous spoke

I shivered from the tone of her voice and at the sudden drop of temperature. I turn to look at her, my breath held and my body froze

Her eyes were red, just like before only it was darker with a dangerous glow. Her eyes narrowed glaring at the reporters.

‘Lowly trash.’ She growled ‘LEAVE OR I’LL RIP YOU ALL APART!’

They tumbled and let out pitiful yelps before leaving quickly, the front of Aleyna’s house was cleared in matter of minutes

Both Yunho and I turned our attention back to Byul, who didn’t cool down…her anger was getting the best of her.

‘Byul.’ Yunho said, trying to snap her out of it ‘Byul. They’re gone. Don’t be too mad.’

But his words didn’t reached her, I felt her dark and dangerous aura spiked and flared. I grabbed her shoulder, facing her to me.

My heart stopped… squeezing painfully

Her red eyes glaring into mine. Felt as if she was looking at my soul, burning it and ripping it to shreds.

My hands trembled and frozen not wanting to move or make contact with the mad Demon before me, but I forced it to. I held the side of her face gently with both of my hands

‘Your scaring me.’ I said doing best not to stutter ‘calm down.’

I pulled her in, dropping my hands from her face to around her waist, hugging her.

‘Everything’s going to be all right. We’re all here for Aleyna.’ I cooed ‘she’s waiting for us’

The dark aura lightened…disappearing.

I smiled knowing she had cooled off. ‘Let’s go in.’ I said taking her hand again and entered the house.

- Yunho Pov-

I couldn’t help but to smile at Jaejoong’s unique affection towards Byul, it was cute. But my smile fell knowing the situation we were in.

Entering the house, it looked worst compare to before. The hallway was a messed, along with the living room, and the kitchen.

‘Aleyna?!’ Jaejoong called

But there was no response.

Splash Splash

Hearing faint sounds of water, we headed straight to the bathroom.

‘Because you ate those impure things. ‘ We heard Aleyna’s Mother said angrily behind the bathroom door ‘that’s why you’ve dulled. I have to purify you!’

Pushing the door open, we saw the sight of Aleyna in the bath tub, with her mother standing over her, pouring bucket of ice cold water over her.

Hearing the door they both turned their attention to us.

‘Unni. Jaejoong…Yunho’ Aleyna uttered staring at us…helplessly.

‘What’s with you people?!’ Aleyna’s Mother shouted at us and threw some of the water at us ‘Get out of here, you impure people!’

Fed up with her unreasonable behavior, I went and held her hands down pushing her out of the bathroom so Jaejoong and Byul could get to Aleyna.

‘Don’t touch her! You’re the ones who made her useless, aren’t you!’ Aleyna’s mother snapped while trying to get out of my grip ‘What are you doing! Don’t touch her!’

‘You need to calm down ma’am. There are reporters outside.’ I stated

Hearing the word reporters made her anger turn to stress as she left the bathroom. We heard her slamming another door shut.

‘Aleyna get up. I’ll dry you up and get you change.’ Byul said gently before looking at Jaejoong and me ‘you guys wait downstairs’

No arguments we did as told.

-Dinning Room-

‘Why did things get like this?’ Jaejoong asked Aleyna

Aleyna looked down at her lap ‘Because I became impure and couldn’t do my spiritual seeing properly’ she said

While Jaejoong was talking to her, I observed around the dinning room, spotting the fridge. I opened it to find it was completely empty.

‘How long?’ I questioned her

‘The whole time’ Aleyna answered

Byul and Jaejoong eyes widened, they were shocked.

‘Without even eating?’ I asked again

Aleyna nodded.

In her own home, with her mother…she was starved.

‘Let’s get out of here’ Byul said standing up with a stern face

‘Huh?’ Aleyna uttered confused

‘You’ll be much better off, than if you stay here.’ Byul said holding on to Aleyna’s hand

‘What are you trying to do?’ Aleyna’s mother entered the dinning room once again angry.

‘We’ll have Aleyna eat and sleep properly’ Jaejoong spoke sternly with a frown

Aleyna’s mother had a mocking look ‘Properly? And then? Do you intend to look after her forever? Can you really do that with this strange girl?’ her mother shouted ‘She has eyes that look like they see through people, as though they’re looking down on you.’

‘I’m going’ Aleyna spoke shocking her mother

Her mother gasped looking at her with belief for mere second before she was angry again ‘I’m fed up! I’ve had enough of always bring dragged around.’ She snapped and stormed back upstairs ‘It’s too much!’

- Jihyo Pov-

I smiled as Byul and Jaejoong returned with also a guest.

‘You had a bit of trouble leaving her home, didn’t you?’ I questioned

Jaejoong rubbed his neck and nod ‘Ah, yea.’ He said

The little whose name was Aleyna, bowed at me as a greeting which I nod in return. Mickey and Junsu ran out and hugged Byul

‘We’ve prepared the bath for you~’ the twins sung

Byul laughed and chuckled, she look down at Aleyna ‘Let’s bath together’ she offered

Aleyna smiled and nod

‘Relax as much as you want. You can stay for however long you like’ I said

Aleyna looked at me surprised before a thankful smile appeared ‘thank you.’ She said

With that Byul directed her into the shop.

‘Well now aren’t you gonna prepare dinner?’ I stated ‘We were staving.’

‘YEA!!!!’ Max and the twin exclaimed

‘YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!’ he cried

I grinned ‘hurry up! Since we have a guest with us, it must be a feast!!!’ I beamed

Jaejoong grumbled but did as told.

‘seems like things will be going well.’ Max commented

I smiled and nod ‘Neh.’ I agreed

-Dinner-

Dinner was loud, not to mention it was more lively then usual.

‘AND that’s how Jaejoong became my playmate!’ Byul grinned telling how Jaejoong and her had meet

‘YAH! How could you tell her I am your playmate! She’s a child for crying out loud!!!’ Jaejoong complained unhappy by the mention of the word playmate.

‘tsk it’s been over couples of months already. Face the facts and just accept your reality.’ Max stated rolling his eyes ‘what a drama queen.’

‘Drama Queen~ Drama Queen!’ the twin sung and teased ‘Jaejoong is a drama queen.’

‘AISHI SHUT IT YOU TWO!’ Jaejoong snapped animatedly

‘Aleyna Aleyna! Try this try this!’ Byul beamed piling Aleyna’s plate with food.

‘STOP PUTTING LOADS OF FOOD ON HER PLATE!’ Jaejoong scolded ‘Aleyna can pick whatever she wants when she wants! Just look at her plate how can she eat when it’s piled like a mountain!’

Aleyna was smiling and laughing, enjoying her time with many people who were lively and entertaining. Seeing her like this, I could see that both Byul and Jaejoong were very happy.

-That Night-

-Jaejoong Pov-

Everyone had gone to bed, aside from Aleyna, Byul and I. Seeing that we were ones that were unable to sleep yet, I’ve made snacks and hot chocolate for us to sit out on the veranda to chat.

‘Unni.’ Aleyna called getting Byul’s attention

‘hmmm?’ Byul responded after taking a mouthful of hot chocolate

 ‘Geez slow down your gonna burn yourself!’ I scolded ‘and your even a messy drinker!’

Using my hand I wiped the chocolate off Byul’s mouth

Byul only giggled and smiled widely at me ‘aww your so sweet Joongie.’ She awed ‘I might have fallen in deeper love with you.’

I rolled my eyes at her stupidly ‘Aleyna wanted to say something.’ I said pushing aside her weirdness.

Aleyna smiled ‘I just wanted to say… Unni and Jaejoong Oppa are very suited for each other.’ She said

I felt my face warmed up a little…it was embarrassing to hear this from a child, however that wasn’t the case for Byul because she grinned and hugged Aleyna

‘thanks Aleyna~ hopefully Joongie knows it and takes good care of me.’ Byul sung completely happy with what Aleyna had said ‘Or I’ll dump him.’

‘WE’RE NOT EVEN TOGETHER!!!’ I exclaimed, messing up my hair in frustration. ’AND PLUS! I’d never date you!’

Byul pouted fake crying ‘Aleyna~ his being so mean!!’ she fake cried

‘Why in the world are you crying to Aleyna?!’ I stated rolling my eyes ‘figured a 678 old demon crying to a 7 year old.’

‘eh? So Unni is an Ajumma?’ Aleyna questioned surprised

I burst out laughing while Byul was sulking and pouting even more.

‘A-A-AJUMMA?!!! ANI!!!! I AM NOT AN AJUMMA!!!!’ Byul cried before glaring at me ‘It’s all Joongie’s Fault!!!!’

And….a wrestling match began.

‘Take it back!!!’ Byul whined attacking me

‘Ani!’ I mocked smirking while defending

‘What kind of playmate are you?!!!’

‘AISHI STOP USING THAT WORD!!!’

‘Then say I’m Pretty and young!!!!’

‘And Forever Single!’

‘JOONGIE!!!!!!’

‘What?! Ajumma?!’

We both were at it for a few minutes but stopped complete when we heard child laugher. We both looked at Aleyna, who was laughing heartedly making us chuckle and laugh as well.

Aleyna definitely would be better off and happier here.

- The Next Day-

walking up early I was preparing Breakfast in the kitchen, when Aleyna came in

I smiled and greeted her good morning and she did the same

‘It’s almost time for me to go home’ She suddenly said ‘I’ll be going back home.’

I looked at her surprised ‘But…why’ I asked

‘Because I’m worried about her.’ Aleyna answered with a small smile

‘Alright, We’ll take you back after breakfast’ I said returning her smile ‘now go and wake up that lazy demon.’

Aleyna giggled and nod ‘neh I’ll wake Unni up.’

-After Breakfast-

-3^rd Person Pov-

It was time to take Aleyna back home.

 ‘Come back any time.’ Max said with a grin

‘Our doors are always welcomed to you.’ Jihyo said

‘Come back soon!’ the twins sung smiling

 A grateful and happy smile was on her face ‘Thank you, it was fun. Extremely so.’ Aleyna said and bowed.

‘let’s go Aleyna.’ Jaejoong said with a smile but looked around ‘where’s Byul?.’

 ‘Oh she’s in the basement.’ Max stated

Jihyo smiled, a mysterious smile. ‘ah, searching for that thing.’ She said

Jaejoong looked at her confused ‘that thing?’ he uttered

‘That thing that thing!’ the twins repeated with wide grins.

‘Sorry for the hold up.’ Byul’s voice said

Looking at her, there was a pink colored balloon in her hand.

‘A balloon?’ Jaejoong thought questioningly. ‘That’s what she was looking for?’

‘Come Aleyna let’s go.’ Byul said holding out her hand to Aleyna, which she happily took Byul’s hand holding on to it. ‘Bye ~ we’ll be back soon.’

-Aleyna’s House-

They came to a stop in front of Aleyna’s house gate.

‘Here is fine ‘ Aleyna said

‘if anything happens give us a call or come to the shop. Alright?’ Jaejoong said caringly

Aleyna nod ‘Neh, thank you Jaejoong Oppa.’ She assured and looked at Byul ‘and thank you for everything Byul Unni.’

Byul smiled kneeling down in front of Aleyna ‘Here for you.’ She said handing the pink balloon to Aleyna ‘It will grant the owner’s dream.’

Aleyna smiled at Byul ‘my dream has already been granted’ she said ‘To laugh and eat a meal together with someone I care for.’

Byul chuckled at Aleyna’s sweet and loving answer, patting her on the head

‘Then for your next dream’ Byul said and stood back up ‘we’ll see you around alright.’

‘Thank you’ Aleyna said before entering her house.

‘Does that balloon really grant wishes?’ Jaejoong asked curious

‘Dreams. It grants dreams.’ Byul correct with a smile  ‘Wish is something that you have a strong desire for to capture things that you want without having to commit to actually doing them.‘

‘A dream is something that is longed and hoped for with ambitions, and a real dream will stay with you because the desire won't go away’

‘A dream without ambitions is nothing more than a mere wish.’

‘There’s a difference.’ Byul explained ‘that balloon can only grant dreams that are emotionally desired’

Jaejoong nod in understanding and smiled ‘Times like this, is only when I can admire you.’ He said ‘others I just want to shoot myself.’

Byul pouted ‘that is so mean!’ she whined and stomped ahead ‘Joongie can get eaten by Spirits for all I care!’

Jaejoong laughed, walking quickly to catch up with the fuming demon. ‘Can’t take a joke Ahjumma?’ He continued to tease and make fun of Byul.

‘I AM NOT AN AJUMMA!!!’ Byul cried

-Aleyna-

Entering the house, it was just how it was left gloomy and almost no sign of life inside. Holding on to the balloon tightly, Aleyna head to the dinning, where she knew her mother would be.

Just as she predicted…her mother was seated on the dining table, head in her hands looking absolutely stressed and miserable.

‘Mother.’ Aleyna called out to her mother breaking the silence in the house.

But her mother didn’t turn giving her attention or even respond.

‘Mother listen.’ Aleyna called again this time succeeding getting her mother’s attention. ‘Let’s stop. Let’s put an end to it. You said it was more than enough right? Let it be that.’

Aleyna’s Mother looked at her, eyes widen and speechless….

But there was something else…relief…and softness.

Unknowingly the pink balloon in Aleyna’s hand glowed

‘That girl is a strong one.’ Jihyo commented before looking at Jaejoong ‘Are you worried?’

‘I can’t help but to….’ Jaejoong said trailing off, feeling really worried

‘It will be fine.’ Jihyo assured

‘That’s easy for you to say, but..---’ ‘Aleyna has the strength to choose, and the strength to accept.’ Jihyo said cutting Jaejoong off ‘Do you understand how exceptional that is?’

‘Too choose?’ Jaejoong questioned

‘Yes.’ Jihyo nodded

Byul smiled hugging Jaejoong sideways ‘it WILL turn out Fine.’ She assured ‘trust us.’

Turning his body so that it was facing Byul’s, Jaejoong returned Byul’s hug ‘I trust you.’ He whispered making Byul smile widen

Jihyo smiled at the trust and scene before her.

‘That’s why they say rumors only last 75 days.’ Yunho stated

‘And?!’ Jaejoong questioned not understanding what Yunho meant.

‘I think Yunho Oppa means that no matter what people say, if you remember that they’ll eventually forget about it, then it won’t bother you so much.’ Dambi explained

I was hoping to meet up with Unni and Oppa before leaving. – Aleyna

Byul smiled ‘sure where should we meet up?’ she asked excitingly

But Byul shushed him making him pout

At the pear tree. Let’s meet at the blossom pear tree. – Aleyna

Byul’s smile widen ‘okay. We’ll see you there soon. Bye!’’ She promised and hanged up

‘YAH! I didn’t even get to say anything to her!!!” Jaejoong snapped angrily ‘And how could you just snatch my phone like that?!!!’

‘We’re meet up with Aleyna a the Blossom pear tree!’ Byul beamed ignoring Jaejoong’s anger ‘she wants to see us before leaving.’

‘Dramatic…truly a drama queen.’ Yunho stated

-Aleyna Pov-

In stood in front of the blossom pear tree, with the spirit of the tree keeping me company.

‘ALEYNA!!!!’ I heard Byul shouted my name happily running to me

I smiled ‘Unni.’ I said looking behind her ‘hi Jaejoong Oppa, Yunho Oppa.’

‘Have you been well?’ Jaejoong asked smiling

‘Yes.’ I answered

‘Aleyna, did that balloon grant your dream?’ Byul asked

I smiled with a nod ‘Yeah’ I answered ‘thank you.’

‘What kind of dream?’ Jaejoong asked curious

‘One where mother wouldn’t be in pain anymore.’ I answered

Jaejoong looked at me surprised before his smile returned ‘that’s good to hear.’ He said

‘Aleyna’ my mother called me, appearing at the entrance of the shrine.

‘Aw do you have to go? We just came.’ Byul whined pouting and gave me a hug

‘Take care’ Yunho said to me

‘Neh I will. Thank you.’ I said

‘Bye Aleyna.’ Jaejoong said patting my head.

I gave them the last wave, before walking to my mother and walked by her side.

Without hesitation…my mother place her hand in mine and held it gently…

I smiled ‘thank you Unni, Oppa’ I thought gratefully.

-Yunho Pov-

‘Aleyna is going to be happy right?’ Jaejoong questioned Byul looking at her hopefully

Byul poked Jaejoong’s forehead ‘Pabo. I already said that everything would be fine. And it is.’ She said smiling ‘Aleyna is happy. Don’t lose a head over it.’

 Jaejoong let out a sigh of relief ‘that’s good. She deserves it.’ He said and looked at the pear tree, smiling ‘For everything that she’s been through and had done.’

‘The season will be over soon.’ I stated looking at all the fallen flowers from the blossom tree.

Jaejoong sudden turn his head facing Byul ‘oh yeah didn’t you want a picture with the blossom pear tree?’ he stated rather then questioning. ‘C’mon I’ll take one of you now.’

Byul grinned ‘I want a picture with you though!!!’ she beamed

‘My arms aren’t that long to take the tree and us in it’ Jaejoong said

‘I’ll take it.’ I offered taking his phone ‘you would take bad photos ruining the beauty of it.’

Jaejoong frowned opening his mouth to make a remark or argue with me, but Byul laughed and pulled him beside her to stand in front of the Blossom pear tree.

‘What pose should we do?!’ Byul asked excitingly

Jaejoong was standing besides her, rubbing the back of his neck not sure of what to do. So Byul decided to wrapped her arms around Jaejoong’s neck, hugging him. Jaejoong who was use to her random moments of hug, let out a sigh but smiled

‘On three’ I said with a small smile ‘one, two. Three.’

‘Another one?’ I asked ‘the more memories to look back.’

Jaejoong nod ‘sure.’ He agreed

Byul let out a happy squeal and jump at Jaejoong, which he caught her out of reflex.

‘You’re the best!’ Byul beamed ‘that’s why I Love you so much Joongie!!!

Byul leaned in and kissed Jaejoong on the cheek, surprising him

‘That turned out nicely.’ I said looking at the outcome of the picture, nodding in approval with a smirk

Jumping off of Jaejoong Byul ran to me ‘we should take a picture too, Yunho!’ she suggested grinning

Smiling down at her ‘sure.’ I nodded

‘HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!’ Jaejoong shouted, stomping to us ‘I DO NOT WANT ANY PICTURES OF YOUR FACE IN MY PHONE!’

‘Too late.’ I said smirking already had taken a picture with Byul on his phone.

‘Now a group photo!’ Byul declared happily, completely ignoring Jaejoong’s disagreement

‘DELETE IT!!’ Jaejoong snapped at me and turn to Byul ‘YOU! Your going WAY too overboard with these picture taking!!’

‘But I want memories’ Byul said smiling with innocence ‘Because…who knows how long these moment will last…’

Jaejoong went quiet,  giving her a questioning look. I could see her smile faded with a look of sadness but it only lasted less then a second before a new smile came

‘Let’s take another one together in front of the tree.’ She said back to her excited self

I nod ‘as many as you like’ I said

‘JUST WHOSE PHONE DO YOU THINK YOUR USING!!!’ Jaejoong snapped angrily
