Chapter Two
The course of true love never did run smooth. Hannah was floored. Literally. She stared up at the ceiling of her room, lying on her plush red carpet. The ceiling was grand and it even had a sunroof in it! But that wasn't what was on her mind. No, what was on her mind was much more complicated than that. Hannah was smitten. She had never seen a boy more handsome then the one she saw when they had first arrived. She didn't catch his name, but she was pretty sure it was a crime for someone to be that good looking. She bobbed her foot to the music she was playing on her IPod doc (provided for her) and once she figured out how it worked she couldn't be more elated. Her thoughts were preoccupied with the boy she saw earlier, that smirk on his lip and that glint in his eyes, it was alluring. It was also very terrifying to her. She'd never felt so strong of an attraction before. She's never even dates a guy! Everything was so new for her. A knock on her door removed her from her dangerous thoughts. "Come in." She called softly and the butler walked in announcing that it was time for dinner with the Royal Family. Hannah thanked him and freshened up briefly before walking down the steps. Along the way, she came across EunSeo and instantly stuck closer to her. She felt a connection to EunSeo the most out of all the other girls selected. "Oh Hello Hannah! What do you think this dinner will be like?" Hannah giggled and shrugged her shoulders. "Tense. I feel like MinHi Unnie won't be able to keep her temper." EunSeo sighed and lead the way towards the table. They must have been the last one's to be summoned because when they got to the dinning room all of the girls were already seated. It seemed the Royal Family had yet to arrive. The whole room was awkward. ByulHee was the first to speak. "Hello everyone! Since we haven't introduced ourselves yet, my name is Shin ByulHee and I am 15 years old. It's nice to meet you." HaeRa smiled and took a seat next to the youngest. Seeing as she was the oldest she felt it was fitting. "My name is Im HaeRa and I am 19 years old." ByulHee smiled at HaeRa. MinHi was the next to sit down followed by SooRyun. "I'm Park MinHi. I'm 18 and I don't like any funny business so stay out of my way and we won't have a problem." SooRyun looked to the floor and didn't dare to look at MinHi. SooRyun was greatly intimidated by MinHi. Sometimes she wished she wasn't so shy. "S-SooRyun. My name is Jung SooRyun and I'm 17." MiKyung, Hannah, and EunSeo took the remaining seats. They were the farthest away from the head of the table. "Well I'm Choi EunSeo and I'm 18." Hannah assumed she was next as the trend seemed to go down the line. "I'm Kim Hannah and I am 16." and lastly was MiKyung. "I'm Moon MiKyung. I am also 18 and I have never seen a table this big in my entire life! How can it fit all seven of us in a row?" The girls laughed and nodded their head. "I agree! You can fit the whole army at this thing!" HaeRa, ByulHee noticed, seemed to be the most friendly. She was also the oldest too, so ByulHee would make sure she respected her Unnie. Hannah giggled and they all started to make fun of the fancy and expensive items. Amidst the laughs a couch interrupted their exchanges. Instantly straightening up, they saw the butler subtly motion for them to stand up so they all did and bowed respectfully. They may not be as rich as the East sider's but they did know their manners. MinHi watched those seven boys from yesterday walk in followed by the heads of this household. MinHi shot a glare at them all. She could practically feel and see the arrogance rolling off them in waves. Their expensive clothes made her's look like thrift store clothes. Well they were, but, they didn't need to know that. MinHi watched a boy sit across from her. He smiled slightly and it took everything in MinHi's power not to roll her eyes at this pretty boy. Sure he was handsome but she would not fall for that smile. Never. EunSeo observed the boy across from her with curiosity. He seemed to be the most quiet of the group and the most stoic. Eunseo could not read one expression on his face. SooRyun, who was seated next to MinHi was trying very hard to ignore the intense stare the boy across from her was giving her. She felt very tiny all of the sudden. "Welcome ladies. I hope that you've all settled in?" They all nodded their heads, afraid to speak. This lady was so intimidating! Her regal aura was no joke. "My name is Kim GaYun and this is my husband Kim SeoKi and you can call us Mr. and Mrs. Kim. As you can see, these seven boys here are dining with us. The one right across from you, SooRyun, is my son Kim TaeHyung. Any questions?" SooRyun bowed shyly and ducked her head. All this attention on her was too much. MiKyung took it all with a grain of salt. She still couldn't believe this was all free. There had to be some type of catch. Nothing was ever too good to be true and life was definitely not a rags to riches fairy tail like this seems to be. MiKyung knew better than anyone else that life was indeed harsh. Therefore, she knew that nothing good could come of this in the end. Something would happen, she just knew it. And even so, with her illness, she never knows when her heart will finally give and she wonders if she'll be able to die at home peacefully or in those cold and lonely place. Far away from her family whom she already missed so dearly. ByulHee looked like she was about to die from hunger. She was practically salivating at all the food that had been brought out during Mrs. Kim's speech. She felt her stomach rumble and prayed to high heaven that no one heard. But, sometimes prayers aren't answered because she saw the young boy across from her with red hair quietly chuckle and give her a taunting smirk. She narrowed her eyes. It was MinHi was took the cake on this one, though. Mrs. Kim wanted questions? Well she could certainly provide them. "When can we eat because, quite frankly, I'm starving and don't care for this chit chat. Also, where can I smoke?" The brown haired boy next to her nearly fell over in shock. She just...that girl just...to Mrs. Kim? Oh my god I hope Mrs. Kim doesn't wring her neck. "Ah...of course you must be hungry. And you can...smoke...outside. Anyway shall we eat?" Mrs. Kim looked at MinHi with a look of disdain then looked back to the others and offered a small smile, but MinHi couldn't be bothered to give a . Bowing she got up and took out her pack of cigarettes and walked out the hallway and out the front door. All the while Mr. Kim looked calculating. He couldn't understand why his lovely wife personally picked these seven girls along with the others first ladies but that one girl had such an attitude. Hopefully this place could change that. Suga or YoonGi, the boy who was now sitting across from the vacant seat couldn't believe how someone could be so rude in someone elses home. Not to mention practically showing no respect to Mrs. Kim. You just simply didn't do that with that woman. Out of all their mother's Mrs. Kim was by far the nastiest. She had a pleasant outward appearance, but inside she was as fierce and heartless as a lion. Rap Monster or NamJoon on the other hand couldn't stop the smile from forming on his face. This girl had guts, he'd give her that, and she wasn't that bad looking either. He was thankful for the entertainment. EunSeo and HaeRa looked horrified at MinHi's behavior. They sincerely hoped Mrs. Kim doesn't think badly of all of them. Whether MinHi realizes it or not her behavior reflects all of them, not just her. "As the oldest girl, I sincerely apologize for MinHi's behavior Mrs. Kim, I will have a talk with her." Mrs. Kim offered a small smile and seemed appeased with HaeRa's statement. HaeRa sighed and dug into her food. She, in all honesty, had no control over MinHi. She had only said she'd have a talk to somewhat salvage the tense atmosphere, as the only sound that could be heard throughout the dinning room was the clinging of silverware and plates, and the occasional sentence of "Pass me the rice." etc. Dinner had ended, thankfully, without much of a problem after MinHi returned. She paid no mind to the stares and acted as if she never said anything at all and had been there the whole time. NamJoon was definitely impressed and seemed to ignore the intense stare of MiKyung who couldn't help but silently admire his face. His blonde hair went perfectly with his darker skin and his eyes were so deep. She could get lost in them forever she felt like. Once the adults had left the boys suddenly changed. Their backs slouched, their shirts came un-tucked, and NamJoon actually leaned back while putting his feet on the table. "You sure have balls, you know that?" Jin said absolutely appalled by this girl. MinHi shrugged. She didn't have any words for any of them. "Hey cutie, wanna come to my room later?" EunSeo laughed. Did she look like a cheap ? Sure she was wearing makeup, a dress, and heels but that didn't mean she was just like the 's this playboy surely slept with. Hannah on the other hand felt saddened. She didn't know why, but his little comment to EunSeo had made her tense. She should have known a boy as handsome as him wouldn't like an inexperienced girl like her. She couldn't help but feel slightly jealous of her Unnie. "I'm sorry but you're not my type. I don't date short guys." V and Jungkook laughed at Jimin's furrowed facial expression. SHORT? He was still taller than her in heels. Sure compared to his hyung's and dongsaeng's he was short but he was still taller than most girls. He definitely needed to reevaluate his approach. One of these girls would be his play toy. He most definitely would make them fall for him, but the question was, who? As Jimin surveyed all the girls, he noticed the one across from him. She had been staring at him the whole time and by the way she was dressed, he could tell she didn't know left from right (if you know what I mean). He smirked. Yes, she was most definitely the perfect target. She would definitely become his new play toy.
