Pt.1

You had forgiven Taemin, and everything was back to normal. He went back to bothering you every morning, recess and lunch. He also walked you home now and then; when he wasn’t busy with SHINee. Every time he said ‘good bye’ and start walking home, you would watch him get further away from you, biting your lip. You still never told Taemin how you felt; but everyday it seemed to get harder for you, getting more stuck in your throat all the time. When you get the slightest thought of telling him, just looking in his eyes would make you swallow it back up. You looked fine in the outside, but just being near him made your heart race without you knowing it. Slowly, you’re feelings for him were getting stronger, day by day

Taemin: “Hey _______” pulling out 1 ear pierce from your ear since you were listening to music. You didn’t notice him coming so his sudden voice made you jump, almost making you drop your music player

You: “Taemin! Where did you come from??” pulling out your other ear phone, rolling it around your player and putting it in your pocket

Taemin: “Huh? I just got here?”

You: “Oh”

Taemin: “Well, I was just wondering, what are you doing after school?” He asks easily, digging both hands into his pockets

You: “Oh, Nothing why?”

Taemin: “Well there’s no practice today, and I was just wondering if we can walk together again?” he smiles at you

You: Confused “Taemin, you hadn’t had any practice for a whole week already? Isn’t SHINee releasing a new song this month? Shouldn’t you guys be busy as ever with recordings, dance rehearsal, photo shoots, and taping?”

Taemin: “Nope, I’m free as ever” His smile going from ear to ear

You: “Okay then” going along with him

The bell rings, you starting to head to class

Taemin: “See you after school!” he shouts to you before you enter your class and sit down in your seat.

Your class comes in 1 by 1, placing their homework on the teacher’s desk. Once the 2^nd bell rings, everyone stops talking as the teacher stands up

Teacher: “Okay, Now I know Summer is really near” The class cheers a little. Everyone was looking forward to summer break “But we still have 4 final exams on all the subjects before you leave.” Your class groans at the thought of having another test “Settle down, Settle down. These exams will count as 80% of your grade. If you do not at least get a C+ on all the tests, then you will be attending summer school. So that means you must pass ALL exams. So study hard if you want to see your summer vacation” Everyone complains to themselves as the teacher begins class, turning to the chalk board.

After School-

You and Taemin were swinging on the swings on the Park playground. Always stopping by over here sometimes when he walks you home

Taemin: “I can’t believe we still have to take exams.” Standing on the swing chair and swinging “Isn’t it enough I have to worry about SHINee” he complains

You: “Well don’t you get tutors or something?” looking up at him. He jumps off the swing, sitting down on it this time

Taemin: “Nope” He says. You guys both stare at the ground thinking “I’m going to fail math” he groans

You: “Why?” You never had a problem at math, for some reason you always understood it

Taemin: “I stink at math! I just don’t get it! And when they start adding letters to the equation; What is it?! Math or English!?” You laugh at his complaining “Why are you laughing? Don’t you hate math?”

You: “Well I don’t hate it… But I wouldn’t say I like it? It’s pretty easy”

Taemin: “Easy?! You think Math is easy??” He looks at you, exaggerating his words. You look at him, wide-eyed and nod your head “Tutor me.” He says straightly

You: Looking at him more surprised “What?!”

Taemin: “Tutor me.” Getting off the swing and standing in front of you. You look up at him as he towers over you, placing both hands on each of the chains so that you can’t swing “Come on _____, Please? If I don’t pass Math then I’m going to be stuck in Summer school and that means SHINee can’t go overseas for any concerts! Please” his puppy face coming out

You: “I don’t know….” You hesitate. You look directly at his puppy ears, biting your lip, trying to fight it. But it was just too powerful for you to handle “F-Fine. I’ll tutor you” mumbling the last 3 words

Taemin: “Yes!” Jumping around with his fist in the air as an accomplishment

You: “On 1 condition!” you shout over his cheering. He stops jumping and looks at you

Taemin: “1 condition? And what’s that?” he tilts his head at you. You swore he was really like a puppy when he does things like that

You: “This better not be some kind of plot your planning to make a move on me” your eyes serious. He laughs at you, coming back to you

Taemin: “It’s not. I really need help with Math” You look at him a little longer, seeing if he really meant it

You: “Okay, I believe you”

Taemin: His face brightening up with a smile “Yes!” He shouts, causing some birds nearby to fly away

*Beep, Beep*

He gets out his phone from his pocket, pressing the screen a few times and looking at the message

You: “Who’s that?” looking at his response

Taemin: “Oh shoot. It’s Key. He said I need to get home now” he says, “Here give me your cell” holding out his hand, hurrying you for his phone. You quickly scramble for your phone, taking it out of your pocket and handing it Taemin. He presses a few buttons on his phone and yours before returning yours.  “There I gave you my number” as you see his name in your contacts

You: “Taemin Oppa??” You look up at him as he kind of smiles innocently “Aren’t we in the same grade?”

Taemin: “Well, I gotta go. Key’s going to mad if I don’t leave” finding his way out “You can walk home yourself right _____? Bye!” He runs in the opposite direction, waving back at you at the same time. You wave back at him, standing up from the swing.

You start walking home, feeling bored inside. Once you got in your room, you dropped your bag by your bed and laid on your bed.

*Beep, Beep*

You sigh as you take out your phone and see look at the screen

Inbox (1)

Fr: Taemin Oppa

-Hey _____, See you tomorrow for tutoring!-

You scroll down the message, seeing that he also sent a picture of himself in practice; Him smiling and doing the peace sign. You laugh at the picture and drop your phone on your bed, relaxing after a long day of school

Pt.2

You: “Bye Mom! I’m going!” You had your backpack on with all your school things inside. It was only 9am in the morning

Mom: “Okay, Have fun!” waving bye to you as you pass the kitchen. You slip on your shoes then head outside.

Before heading to sleep, Taemin had texted you the details about tutoring tomorrow. You were thinking of going afterschool but tomorrow was a Saturday so he told you he asked his hyungs if he could have you over and they were all okay with it. You took a big sigh as you walked closer to the park where you were meeting Taemin

As you got closer, you saw Taemin waiting on the swing set. He turned his head to your direction and smile appeared on his face as he stood up

Taemin: “______, You came!” His voice delighted as you approach him

You: “Hey, I promised I would help you didn’t I?” Happy to see his smiling face so early in the morning

Taemin was dressed in normal clothes, or well normal to him. You have never seen him in these types of clothing, only seeing him in flashy clothes on TV shows and concerts and his school uniform at school.

Taemin: “Should we go?”

You: “Lead the way” You kept your cool, a little nervous about going to the SHINee dorm. You walked side by side with Taemin as he talked to you while you listened

Taemin: “So I asked told my Hyungs that you were coming, you remember them right?” referring to that time at school. You nod your head, letting him go on “Well when I told them you were coming over to help tutor me they kind of acted funny, so I have to warn you that they might be bothering us a lot…. Sorry….” Placing his hands in his pockets while he looks at your for your response

You: “It’s okay. As long as they don’t bother us too much” reassuring Taemin that it was okay. After a couple of blocks you were there. He walks up the steps, you following close behind, and open the door

Taemin: “I’m back” shouting out loud. You walk inside, looking around

The house was simple, clean, and neat. It was really like a regular house, only more bigger and more modern like.

Key: “Oh, you’re back already?” coming from the kitchen, his eyes go wide a little and then his mouth smiles at the sight of you

You: “Hi” you bow nicely as he makes eye contact with you

Key: “_____ right?” You nod your head, too nervous to say anything “It’s nice to see you again! If you need anything don’t hesitate to ask Taemin” smiling

Taemin: “Yah! Why me?” looking at Key

Key: His smile gone “Because she’s your guest! And she’s willing to come and tutor you so you better be nice to her!” Not saying another word and going back into the kitchen. You laugh as Taemin scratches the back of his head

Taemin: You stop laughing once he looks at you laughing, your mouth in a tight smile, trying to hold it in “Come on, let’s go to my room so that we’ll get less bothered.” You follow him down the hall. He opens the last door at the end of the hall

You: “Whose room is that?” pointing to the door across from his

Taemin: “Minho’s” getting his door to open. His room was clean and well made. There were a few messes but it wasn’t something serious “We can work on the desk” pointing to the desk across the room while he shuts the door

The desk was big enough for 2 and sure enough, he had set 2 chairs there, with all his math text books on the table. You walk and sit down on 1 of the chairs, getting your books out of your bag.

You: “Okay I think we should work on page 634 since that’s what we focused on this quarter.” Turning the pages

Taemin joins you and begins opening his book. You get out paper, writing down some equations from the book and handing the paper to Taemin

You: “Here, so this is how you solve it” you explain to him how to find the answer, giving it to him step by step. Once you explained, you told him to figure out the answer. You watch his serious face as he concentrates on finding the answer. You never seen Taemin with such a serious face; Actually, you never saw a lot of things about Taemin. You only get to see him during lunch and breaks at school, where he’s smiling and telling jokes. You never saw Taemin in class before, and see how hard he works.

You smile to yourself, admiring Taemin

Taemin: “Did I get it right?” looking up at you as you stare back at him. Embarrassed about being caught looking, you take his paper and see if he solved the equation

You: “Yeah, you got it! It’s simple right!” Proud that you were able to teach him something

Taemin: “It seems so easy when you explain it ______” leaning on the back of his chair. You laugh as you write down another problem for him

The door then swings open, and then comes in Jonghyun and Onew

Jonghyun: “_____! Key told me you were here and I just wanted to say Hi!!” coming to the back of your chair and giving you a little hug that kind of made Taemin surprised

Taemin: “YAH! We’re studying!! Go away!!” scolding his hyungs

Onew: “Aw, since when did you like doing homework?” smirking

Not being able to say something back, he keeps quiet

Jonghyun: “Anyways, how have you been ______? Did Taemin already drive you crazy?” asking excitedly

You: Looking at him confused, but also not wanting to embarrass Taemin “No….”

Jonghyun: “Huh… Really? Because he talk’s so much about you that it’s starting to drive us crazy” he teases

You look at Taemin, who was looking back at you kind of scared and nervous

Taemin: “H-Hyung! Stop telling lies! Get out of my room!!” Standing up now and trying to push Jonghyun out

Onew: “It’s true, he talks so much about you! He’s always telling us about how he walks you home! Did you know how many times he got yelled at for being late to practice?” taking Taemin’s seat

You: “But he always told me he had a day off?” confused

Onew: “Is that what he told you? Haha, no we’re busy as ever! He’s always running into the room panting for breath from running!” laughing

You look at Taemin who heard everything after being able to push Jonghyun out.

Taemin: “Okay, Onew. Leave. Now!” He pulls Onew’s arm, dragging him out of the room

Onew: “It was nice seeing you again ______!” he yells to you before Taemin slams the door on him

Taemin: “Sorry. I did warn you that my hyungs would be bothering us” shyly coming back to you “So where were we?” taking a seat again. He takes the sheet of paper from you and begins working on the problem. You can’t help but think about what Onew had said earlier as you watch Taemin

You: “Taemin…. Is what Onew said…. True?”

Taemin: Turning his head towards you “Um, why?”

You: “Because… you always told me that you were never busy. And he said you got yelled at a lot” feeling guilty a little. For that whole week he was actually getting yelled at because of you…

 Taemin: Putting his pencil down “Okay, yeah it wasn’t my day off. I was actually very busy and I was suppose to go straight home afterschool” confessing

You: “Then why’d you walk me home those past few days?”

Taemin: “Because… I guess I kind of wanted too….” Staring into your eyes “I hate the fact that I only see in school and sometimes I just wish that final bell won’t ring. Your always on my thoughts and no matter how many times I try to get you out your face appears and I end up smiling like a fool. I don’t know why, but walking home with you, everyday, is worth all the yelling I get when I come to practice” The room was silent.

You were speechless after what he just said. While Taemin was talking, he had moved closer to you, leaning into you. Your heart was beating fast, and you could feel it. It was beating so hard and fast, you panicked that Taemin would hear it during the moment of silence

You: “T-That’s all for now.” Closing your textbooks and placing them in your bag, your hands shaking “I’ll text you later Taemin, bye” putting on your bag and rushing out of the room. You could feel your heart pounding against your chest. You bump into Minho in the hall, not saying a word as you pass through him, only going straight to the front door. Minho looks at you pass and goes to Taemin’s open door

Minho: “What happened?” peering inside and seeing Taemin holding his head down in his hands

Taemin: “I think I went too far…”

You walked home, trying to calm your heart down. This was the first time you felt this way, the first time your heart ever acted like that. You couldn’t think straight when Taemin was that close to you; All your thoughts turned into scrambles, just getting lost in Taemin. You stop walking and lean against a wall, taking a big sigh. Surely, Taemin was the reason why your heart beats, the reason why you can’t think when you’re around him, the reason why your ignoring your brain and the warnings it’s giving you and just following your heart. It was all because of him.
