Title: Present

After more than 10 hours of a tiring flight he landed in Australia. It was 5pm there. When he got to the gateway of the airport he rapidly saw from afar a sign with his name on it. A cheerful girl with a big smiled shacked the sign above her head. His sister whom he hadn’t seen in two years was waiting for him.

Kevin stayed as his parents’ house. His room was as tidy as he left it two years ago. He laid in his bed and felt the same, all the same. Like he had never left. He looked at his phone, it was already too late to call to Korea. He must be sleeping, he thought. How was your day? Do you miss me? He wanted to ask so many things, but he decided to just leave that to tomorrow and just rest.

One week had passed since he left Korea, and he was still trying to adapt to Australia’s lifestyle. It was all so different. How could life change so much in two years? His life changed too, yes, when he met him.

--

-When do you come back? – The voice at the phone asked.

-Missing me already? I just left one week ago. – Kevin teased.

-Yah! Idiot. I’m just asking.

-I’m sure you’re blushing just now, God, I miss you. I’ll be back in three weeks.

-Sh-shut up. Ok, don’t forget to bring me a present, did you hear me?

-Okkkk~

-Fine, I gotta go back to work, call you later.

-Wait!

-What?

-I love you, Minwoo.

-Tsh…I love you too. – Minwoo hanged rapidly the phone and Kevin just chuckled rolling on his bed.

He met Minwoo one year ago at work and became a really close friend with him. They used to go everywhere together and after spending most of the time doing things sticked to each other, slowly other feelings started growing on them. It’s been 8 months and their relationships seem stronger than ever. It was really difficult to Kevin to think of being one month separated from him, but he really needed to see his family.

-Do you miss your boyfriend? –His sister asked and he jumped out if his seat on the restaurant.

-How do you know!!!??

-I heard you talking on the phone, our walls are thin, bro.

-Ah.. you were listening all nights?  - He blushed remembering some he had with Minwoo.

-Don’t worry, just one time. – Kevin sighed.

-Ah… ok. I have to go buy a present for him, he is driving me nuts with that.

-Ok, I’ll take you to some fancy shops, they have all of what is trend now…

-Thank you sis, you’ve saved  me.

That afternoon his sister took him to shop around. He promised Minwoo a present and the kid has been reminded him about that every time he called.  Minwoo was a fashion lover, but he wasn’t. He was afraid to buy some clothing that Minwoo will end throwing away. He bought some rings and hats. Yes, his boyfriend loved caps and hats. That would be a good present. But not as Australian as Kevin wanted it to be. They walked around the center a bit more when his sister pointed out a clothing house with shirts as souvenirs. Kevin entered and was stunned by the amount of clothing. There were a lot but one in particular caught his attention. It had a legend on it ‘I love Australian boys’. Kevin chuckled at the thought of giving that to Minwoo and bought it, even thought it was a girl clothing. His impulse made him bought some more shirts and some wood-made souvenirs.  Happy with his shopping, Kevin returned home.

One month passed fast, faster than he thought. It was time to return to Korea. He was happy and sad at the same time. He would not let two years pass again, and definitely he would bring Minwoo with him next time. His parents and sister wanted to meet him after all that Kevin has told about him.

It was 11pm in Seoul when the plane landed. Kevin felt sad for leaving again his home but at the same time he was happy to go back to his boy’s arms. They said home is where your heart is, he may be had been raised in Australia but his heart was there in Korea with Minwoo now. The boy in a cap with dark shades had head hanging and he his body was about to fall from the seat of the airport lounge. Kevin chuckled at seeing his prince sleeping, he felt bad but he coughed loud to wake the boy up.

-Ah..you’re here. – Minwoo said still half asleep.

-That’s all? We haven’t seen in a month and you said ‘You’re here’ like nothing.

-Tsch, sorry you know I’m grumpy when I just wake up.

-Ughh, you didn’t even miss me. Ok, no present for you.

-NO! – Minwoo widened his eyes and jumped wrapping his arms on Kevins neck.- I missed you, Kev, so much.

- Yeah, yeah. Let’s go home.

Home was as usual, tiny and smelled like cocoa, just like Minwoo. Kevin unwrapped some of his luggage and went back to kitchen where Minwoo was cooking something. Kevin smiling put the bags with presents on the table. Minwoo threw all the food away and ran rapidly to see the bags.

He happily started unwrapping some rings. They were not too fancy and even some of them didn’t fit on his fingers. He smiled and went for the caps. Horrible, horrible, the colors were horrible, and they were small for his head. He smiled bitterly and with a bit of fear and expectation he unwrapped the shirts. He almost choked when he saw the ‘I love Australian boys’ shirt. What was Kevin even thinking when he bought that? He shocked his head and turned to face Kevin who was smiling with a big expectation. That look of Kevin made Minwoo’s anger and disappointment fade away. He smiled and sighed.

-Kev…

-Yes...Do you like your presents?

-Ah..the presents are…

-Yes…

-Are terrible…

-What??. Why..? – Kevin sad with a sad face.

-I know..but..oh my god… -Minwoo couldn’t hold his laugh anymore.

-I’m sorry, I did my best really…  

-Ugh, you’re so cute. –Minwoo wrapped his arms around Kevin’s waist. –Thank you.

-Don’t lie. You didn’t even like what I bought!

-It’s ok… You brought what I needed the most.

-What!?

-You. – Minwoo kissed his cheek and hugged him tighter – but definitely next time we’re going together. – He added.
