Taemin: “What do you think about these?” He holds in front of you a flower, asking you to smell it

You: Sniffing it “It’s okay” Your mind distracted by something.

You and Taemin went to a flower shop so that he could buy some flowers to send to his father. This only reminded you that, your dad was miles away from you.Your rub your shoulder, and look around. You see a flower the color of your dad’s favorite flower… Walking closer, you softly touch the petals, remembering. Tomorrow would be father’s day, and again, you’re going to miss it. You haven’t seen your dad in a few years, and missed him.

Taemin: “Sigh…. If only I could do something” Talking to himself while he pays for the flowers; seeing you depressed “Cheer up, ______” resting his hands on your shoulders. “Come on, let’s go” He takes your hand and takes you cake shop nearby.

The both of you take your seats, across from each other. You sit there, quiet, while he orders your favorite cake and his.

Taemin: “What’s wrong _____?” as the waiter sets down the plates

You: “It’s just, I haven’t seen my dad in a while, and Father’s day tomorrow. I guess I miss him…” :/ Digging your cake with your fork, not really interested in eating

Taemin: “I’m sure he misses you too, but that doesn’t mean he wants you to be sad” lifting your chin so your eyes are leveled with his “Come on, where’s that smile I love seeing” You sit there, not smiling; but he puts on a funny face, trying hard to make you smile. You end up cracking a smile “There, see! That’s the smile I love” He leans over the table to give you a kiss on the lips

You: “Thanks Taemin” smiling now. He could always cheer you up no matter how down you were. You picked up your fork and held a fork-full scoop of cake in front of him. Laughing, he takes a bite and you two ends up taking turns feeding each other cake.

After the cake shop, you decided to head home, and just hang at your house. Right when you arrived, you guys cuddled together, watching TV but for some reason, he kept taking his phone out and texted someone.

You: Curious now, it was the 5^th time he took it out and he hardly texts “Who are you texting?”

Taemin: Glancing at you while he texts a message “Oh, Uh, business call?” he turns his attention again to his phone while you lift an eyebrow “business call?” All of a sudden his phone starts ringing and he gets up from the couch “Sorry _____, I got to take this” he walks out of the room into the bathroom so you don’t hear the call. You quietly make your way to the bathroom and put your ear against the door listening

Taemin: “I need it here tomorrow, exactly……Yes…1 room….. Yep, for tomorrow…. …. Yeah can you make a reservation too? At maybe 7?.... Okay Thank you!” He hangs up the phone. You hear his footsteps getting louder and tried to scatter quickly but he caught you. “______? Did you just hear what I said in there?”

You: “No…” looking at him like you don’t know

Taemin: “______...” tapping his foot with his hands crossed against his chest. You look up at him from the ground

You: “Okay, maybe I heard a few things? Why what’s coming tomorrow!?”

Taemin: “Aish, so you did hear. Well it’s a surprise, so you’re going to have to wait” helping you up

You: “Well whatever it is, It’s going to have to wait after I webcam my dad tomorrow” dusting yourself off

Taemin: “Yes, Yes, Now let’s go back to watching the TV” pulling you in the direction of the living room

Father’s day!- 6:00pm

*Knock, Knock* It was Taemin, coming over

Taemin: “Hey” walking in “Did you call your parents yet?” He was dressed, ready to go out for dinner tonight

You: “No not yet, I was just going to call” pointing to your laptop on the kitchen table. You and him walk to the table, you sitting down, and him standing behind you. You click call and your mom answers the webcam

Mom: “Hi ______! How are you!” waving into the camera

You: “Hey Mom, I’m doing fine. Is dad there? I want to wish him a Happy Father’s day!” Smiling. *Knock, Knock* You turn your head to the door

Taemin: “I’ll get it” You smile at him, thanking him

You: “So Mom, where’s dad?”

Mom: “Actually honey,” she points to the camera, and you look at her confused “Turn around” she mouths. You follow her instructions, and you see Taemin walking back, with someone behind him? You look closer as Taemin steps out of your view, It was your DAD?

You: “DAD!” jumping out of the chair and hugging him

Dad: “Hi sweetie” laughing while he hugs you tight. Taemin stands there, smiling with his hands behind his back

You: “But, How?”

Dad: “Your boyfriend flew me out here” gesturing his hand to Taemin

You: “Taemin!” You jump into his arms, wrapping your hands around his neck, while he wraps his around your waist “Oh my gosh, Thank you!” You give him a kiss on the cheek

Taemin: “No problem. You seemed so sad yesterday that I had to get your dad here”

Dad: “_______, You sure are lucky to have him” Patting Taemin’s shoulder

You: “I know dad, He’s the best” looking up at him, hugging his waist now

Taemin: “So shall we go to dinner now?”

After saying bye to your mom on the webcam, the 3 of you head to the restaurant Taemin made reservations for. You talked to your dad a lot and introduced him more to Taemin, which he liked. Taemin and your dad talked a lot too, asking Taemin about his career and about how you were doing. Over all, Tonight was the best Father’s day. After dinner was over, you guys dropped off your dad at his hotel and headed home.

You: “Thank you” you say to him, breaking the silent walk. You had your arms wrapped around his waist, sideways, while he had 1 arm over your shoulder, pulling you in closer

Taemin: “You said that already” Laughing, you had been repeating that to him over and over

You: “I know but, still… My dad was right, I really am lucky to have you” You look up, so that you can see his head

Taemin: “I’m the lucky one” He looks down and smiles. He leans down, kissing you passionately, warming your lips from the cold night.
