The god of death and the goddess of love are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum.
Hades is a bitter yet powerful ruler in the realm of the Underworld, watching over the souls of the dead who arrive daily to his domain. He has never moved on from the fact that his brothers, Zeus and Poseidon, have control over areas where the sun actually shines. Hades rarely associates with the gods of Olympus due to his constant watch over the Underworld.
Aphrodite is the most beautiful goddess of them all. Luscious, golden blonde hair, bright blue eyes, flawless skin, and an almost sickeningly sweet voice. Her beauty attracts almost every god and mortal out there, and she has used it well to her advantage. She is not as sugary and warmhearted as everyone assumes she is, but that does not mean she can not get what she wants.
When the two bear a child, Zeus becomes furious. He does not want his younger brother associating with the gods of Olympus. Knowing that their child will cause a controversy, he sets a punishment on the young goddess. She must live in the mortal world for one hundred years, only allowed to visit her mother in Olympus and her father in the Underworld twice a month.
A god falling in love with a mortal is absolutely unheard of. Mortals are inferior beings, only to be played with and used for enjoyment. Gods may have affairs and children with mortals, but that is it.
Which is why the young goddess never expects to actually fall in love with one.

for those of you who are new to greek mythology, do not get overwhelmed! not all of these gods will be mentioned or play big roles in the story, i just added them here for insight. but if you do get confused, these lists are also here for you to look back at.
now in greek mythology, relationships between relatives are considered completely normal. **seida and luhan will have some ual interaction, even though they are half siblings.**
i apologize if anything i have stated related to mythology is not 100% accurate; some of this is coming from my own imagination, but i try not to alter any significant roles from the myths. some of this is also based off the percy jackson series, so i will say right now that not all of these ideas are completely mine. creds to rick riordan for being an awesome author, you should really check out his books if you haven't~
