Part 1:

Kris:
In the album you wrote “To fly” in the “Wish List”, the meaning behind “fly” is?

“Fly” refers to the goals I want to achieve, from a long term perspective, I hope that in the future I will be able to act in some dramas, and develop in the film area, because I personally look forward to this particular area. As for the short term, I have a lot of interest in clothing and styling, so I will pay a lot of attention to clothing coordination, the style that I wear during shows and at the airports are all prepared by me.

Tao:
When you are in a bad mood or feel very tired, how do you try to adjust?

I feel that the most important thing is still to adjust your own attitude, to try to avoid being in a bad mood. A stress relieve method I always use is listening to music, practising rap, exercising, going to the beach or Han river to take a walk, quietly thinking about things is also a good way to relieve stress.

Luhan:
Can you share with us a song in the new album that you like the most?

In the album, the song that I like the most is “Butterfly Girl (Don’t Go)”, this song is a song that gives you a lot of feelings, it mainly expressing the determination and yearning we have towards love, and an attitude of looking forward to happiness.

Chanyeol:
You normally are one of the members that can bring up the atmosphere quite well, do you have any plans to venture into the variety side?

Of course! I tend to not have any stress, if I do feel stressed I will shout loudly, or laugh loudly, hence I look like I am always full of energy, and also makes the people beside me feel more energised. But other than variety, I still want to show everyone my talents in composing or other areas too. 

Sehun:
From the previous album until now, how do you think EXO has grown in their music? 

“MAMA” is a classic SMP style song, “XOXO” is meant to be closer to the general public, so we used unique song lyrics and an addictive melody. Everyone can see a different kind of charm, and can get to enjoy a 180 degrees different kind of EXO.

Lay:
We heard that you compose songs, what kind of style of songs do you write?

I usually will hum a melody spontaneously based on my feelings or some thoughts I have at that time, and will record it down, then make it into a Demo when I have the time. I will carefully keep the songs that I have written so far, and wait for a suitable time to sing it for all of you.

Baekhyun:
All the fans from different countries say that you speak their local languages very well, do you have any special secret to doing this?

It’s because each time before I go to a new country, or after I have reached that country, I will learn from the locals their greetings and basic conversational phrases, and try to practise imitating the local’s intonation. I think this is probably one of the main reasons why everyone says I speak the local languages so well. 

Suho:
You cried very emotionally the first time EXO got first place, are you a very emotional person? What kind of things do you feel can move you the most?

Ha~ I feel so embarrassed about crying the other time, but it’s because I felt very emotional as it was the first time we got first place. My personality is the emotional kind, I belong to the kind of people that like to enjoy the scenery while thinking about many questions at the same time. Usually I will watch many movies or dramas, but I feel that kind that move me the most are documentaries, as it gives me a lot of resonance and emotions. 

Chen:
In the official profile it mentions that you can play the piano, would you possible be incorporating this talent into your other music performances in the future?

I want to perfect it properly first, before I present to everyone this particular talens, as there are still a lot of areas that I need to prepare, so it will still take a while. I definitely wish that I can be involved in music production in the future, but I will still need to practise and improve more in the skills area. 

Xiumin:
Did you dream of becoming a singer since you were in Year 3 of High School?

I think all children will have dreams of becoming a artiste during their teen years, and I am not an exception. I have a friend who also had a dream of becoming an artiste, so I accompanied him to take part in the competition, and at the end my dream came true and I got picked, so I am really very happy.

On stage you give of the feeling of being very domineering, but during other shows you tend to seem very shy, which one is the real you?

Actually both of them are the real me, on stage I like the feeling of being very charismatic and charming, but when offstage I am in a very relaxed and very natural mode, I also hope that other than showing off my charisma on stage, I can let everyone see how I am like normally. 

Kai
You recently featured in f(x)’s comeback, and SM tend to have collaborations between their different groups, who do you look forward to working with the most?

Not long ago I took part in f(x)’s album cover photoshoot and being able to help them is something I feel very happy about, also shows my worth/value (laughs). Also, I really look forward to working with every artiste in SM, if I really have to choose, I want to pick SHINee’s Taemin, because I am the same age as him, but he debuted before him, usually we always practise our dance skills together, so I really look forward to working with him.

1) The concepts of “Cat” style boyfriend and “Dog” style boyfriends are very popular now, which one do you think you belong to?
“Cat” Style: Calm, intelligent, introverted, meticulous, lazy, wilful, thinks too much
“Dog” Style: Passionate, sporty, extroverted, hardworking, slightly insensitive, places a lot of emphasis on friendships and relationships.
2) Other than you own songs, what are the songs you listen to most often?
3) If you have a month long holiday, what do you want to do the most?
4) What do you think is your greatest change in the new album?

Kris:
1) I should be a combination of both the Cat and Dog style, in front of friends I can get very crazy, be a little bit willful, but to my girlfriend, I will tend to be a little 大男子主义(T/N: The more traditional Chinese view that guys have to protect girls, take care of them etc) and want to protect her all the time.
2) Lately I like to listen to hiphop style music.
3) If I get to have a month long holiday, I want to tour the work, and take a look at the different scenery and cultures of the countries around the world.
4) I feel like my change was not very big, I am handsome as usual (laughs), just that my hair become shorter.
5) Actually I was a little conflicted, on one hand I want to take up the role of a very cool assassin, but on the other hand I want to act as a very tragic male lead, I have confidence I will be able to act the part very well.
6) We usually have very little opportunities, so I find it a pity. If we do have fanmeets, I think it should be a very good way to communicate.

Luhan:
1) I feel that I am a Dog style boyfriend, because I am more extroverted and passionate.
2) I normally listen to R&B music more often, like my personality, it is more light and happy.
3) If I really do have a one month long break, I want to go home and spend it with my parents.
4) I feel that the biggest change this time is probably still the hairstyle, the styling is very different from the previous album.
5) I feel that as long as it’s the male lead, I will be able to accept it (laugh), and will earnestly try it and act out the role.
6) We tend to have more interactions with everyone during our usual performance and at airports, we are very happy to see them each time.

Chen:
1) I think I am a Dog style boyfriend, because I tend to place a lot of emphasis on relationships.
2) Normally I listen to a large range of song styles, I tend to listen to all kinds of music genres.
3) I really want to go on a holiday with my famil members, and enjoy the feeling of being with my family.
4) I feel that there isn’t much of a change, if I must mention one, then it should be my dancing abilities, I am probably more adept now on stage.
5) If there really is such a good opportunity, I really want to try acting as a villain.
6) My method is very simple, I will smile brightly and wave to the fans that come to see us.

Xiumin:
1) I feel that I am a Dog style boyfriend, my own character is more like the Dog style too.
2) Lately I have been listening to Kangta sunbae’s songs.
3) If we have a holiday, I really want to meet with my friends, and relax and play together or drink a few cups together (laughs)
4) I feel that the biggest change is outer appearance, because I had a little bit of baby fat in the previous album, but now I’ve lost a lot of weight. The second change in that I’m more at ease with performing on stage.
5) I feel that if it’s acting in a show, the larger possibility is that it’s a cameo, because currently I still want to concentrate my efforts on singing and dancing.
6) Most of our interaction is through fansigns or stage performances, if we have the chance to have a convert in the future, I hope to have even more and even better interaction with everyone.

Sehun:
1) Cat type, but I place a lot of emphasis on relationships!
2) I personally like the more soothing ballads, and some R&B and Soul type of songs.
3) Go to a place with a lot of people and play as much as I want, and go to a quite place to enjoy my one personal time.
4) We have changed a lot in every aspect, like how all of us have grown/matured, dance, singing, little movements, facial expressions? Etc. Although we are still lacking, we will still continue to grow and mature.
5) Chaebol? (laughs) Actually I am okay with any character.
6) It’s probably through our official homepage or during fansigns and stage performances, actually there are not a lot of chances, I hope in the future we can have more opportunities to interact with everyone.

Tao:
1) Probably a Cat type boyfriend, I think I am a more meticulous, stubborn person who likes to think a lot. So I feel like the Cat type probably is more like me.
2) I normally like to listen to R&B style songs, the light and happy music style helps to put the listener in a good mood.
3) If I can I really want to stay by my parent’s side, and take the time to improve my rap level and general abilities.
4) I think no matter what the role is, I will try to take it on and digest it well, and perform it as well as I can.
5) Our meeting method is very special every time, most of the time it is at the airport, so we will exchange a few words when we meet, and also during our fansigns or stage performances.

Baekhyun:
1) I am a Dog style boyfriend, because I am more extroverted and passionate, so the Dog style boyfriend is more like me.
2) Lately I prefer to listen to ballads, and some R&B and Soul style of songs.
3) During the break the one thing I want to do the most if to go home and eat home-cooked food, because when normally we tend to eat delivery food when we have schedules, so I really miss the taste of home-cooked food.
4) My greatest breakthrough in this album, is having some improvement in the dance area, and having a more at ease kind of confidence on stage.
5) Actually I really want to try the kind of role that likes to joke around, and makes you want to dislike him a little, yet you can’t seem to dislike him.
6) Normally we do not have much chances, our interaction is mostly through stage performances.

Chanyeol:
1) Probably the Dog style boyfriend, because I place a lot of emphasis on relationships, am more affectionate, and like to interaction with people a lot, so I seem closer to a Dog style boyfriend.
2) Skrillex, Draft Punk, Beenzino, Jazzyfact, I mostly listen to electronica or Jazz, Hip Hop more. Lately the song I’ve been listening to the most is Daft Punk’s Within.
3) I want to play freely with the members at the beach, or go back to school to see my teachers.
4) The biggest change is that my singing parts became more…… haha~Just joking~ Compared to the “MAMA” album, the time I participated more in the Subvocal and Backup vocal areas.
5) I want to act as a rebellious student or a Church oppa/hyung, or a extremely free neighbour oppa/hyung, hehe~ there are a lot of roles I want to try!
6) Interacting through our music when on stage, or interaction through our fansigns. Hope that we can hold a fanmeet soon.

Lay:
1) I feel that I am neither, I should be a “Lamb” style boyfriend, the kind that is more gentle, likes to take care of people, of course a lot of times I too wish to be take care of others, and I tend to be more stubborn and a little persistent.
2) I tend to listen to more European and American music, and some Cpop. The singers I look up to the most are still Jay Chou, Wang Leehom and Khalil Fong.
3) The last time we had a break I spend it with my family, so this time I would like to go on a trip and take a lot at the outside world.
4) I think I became more “Manly”, and matured in certain areas, of course there are still many areas that I am lacking in, and I will keep training and improving myself in the future, to make myself even better.
5) I feel that as long as there is an opportunity for me to act, it will be a chance for me to take up a challenge. So I will treat every role that is given to me very seriously.
6) Normally the place that we communicate with fans the most if probably the airport, and concert venues, as long as they are by our side, we will talk to them, through we tend to worry that they will get squished, and that they will fall.

Suho:
1) Probably Dog style boyfriend, cause I tend to take my friendships seriously, am polite to girls, and am the more gentlemanly kind.
2) I especially like to listen to Maroon 5’s songs, when you listen to their songs they give you a lot of feelings.
3) If there is a holiday, I really want to go back to my old middle school and high school and meet my teachers, and my friends during middle school, high school and university.
4) For this comeback, during my singing parts I jump around a lot, and look very cute, but at the same time show a hint of iness, so I really enjoy the times I get to perform on stage.
5) I want to try to act as a trustable school sunbae, or a cute, mischievous, slightly crazy, but dares to take the first step and confess to girls kind of role.
6) Most of our interaction is through fansigns, or leaving messages on the official homepage, every time we leave message on the homepage I always ponder for a long time what exactly I should write.

Kai:
1) I am both half a Cat type and half a Dog type, so I think I am a Cat-Dog type. I prefer to sleep and am more meticulous, but I will work very hard to achieve the things I am passionate about.
2) My favourite is Michael Jackson, he is a legend to a lot people, I will listen to his songs when I am thinking.
3) During the “MAMA” era, I appeared with a more strong image, this time it's a more “Student” kind of feeling.
4) I prefer to film a biography kind of movie, to talk about my life story, starting from the debut era at the very start to our peak, to how I led the rest of my life, it doesn’t have to be my own life story, it can be another person's life story too.
5) Definitely want to meet my parents, normally we tend to communicate more by phone, so I don't have the time to meet them personally, I really want to go overseas with my parents on a trip.
6) As I do not have weibo, or SNS or any kind of similar social media account, I will dance extra hard on stage for everyone. I also will look at the messages left by everyone on the official homepage, not too long ago, a fan made a video compilation of all my dance videos put together chronologically, I was very moved when I saw it.

D.O.:
1) I think my personality as a whole points to me as a Dog style boyfriend, because I place a lot of emphasis on relationships.
2) Lately I prefer to listen to R&B songs, there is no specific singer.
3) If there is a holiday, I really want to rest, and if I can, I want to go on a backpacking trip.
4) I am more matured than I was before, and am more comfortable with being on stage. I probably improved in my singing abilities too.
5) No matter whether it is the male lead or not, if I have the change to act, I will give my all into playing that character, and do my best.
6) Currently we do not have a specific fixed method to interact with fans, it is still mainly through our fansigns.
