Everything seemed to go well until one day you heard a loud scream of agony from the study. You burst inside the room. “What’s wrong-“
Junhyung was sitting on the floor clutching onto his head. His papers were strewn all over the floor. He started shaking madly, almost to the point of convulsion.
“Oppa!” You ran over in a panic. You knelt in front of him and grasped his wrists, “Oppa, waegulae?!”
Junhyung wouldn’t let you pull his hands away from his head. He felt like it would crack in two.
“Does your head hurt?! Should I get your medicine?! Hold on!” You ran over to the desk. With trembling hands, you searched the drawers. But you couldn’t find the medicine anywhere. You ran back to him, “Junhyung oppa, where’s your medicine?”
“There’s-no-more.” He answered with gritted teeth. Your eyes widened, “M-muh?”
“It’s been a while since I ate it all.” Junhyung replied.
“You babo!” You scolded. “You should’ve told me! I could’ve gone and got it for you!” You got up
. Junhyung grabbed your wrist. He looked up at you with a forehead drenched in cold sweat, “W-where are you going?” “To buy medicine.” You took a step but he wouldn’t let you go. “Don’t go.” “I have to!” You protested. Junhyung shook his head, “It doesn’t matter if you buy the medicine. It won’t work.”
Your blood ran cold. You slowly stooped down in front of him and searched his face, “W-what do you mean it won’t work?” Junhyung closed his eyes because the room started to spin. He took a deep breath to not throw up. “Now when I take the medicine, it doesn’t work. The pain is still there. I can’t get rid of it no matter what I do.”
Your heart fell like a rock. That meant his cancer was getting worse. Reality finally hit you. Junhyung could die any moment. He would be taken away from you forever in one sudden instant. Just like your dad. You hadn’t realized that being in this m
