One afternoon, you were bored so you knocked on Junhyung’s study.

You poked your head in. “Are you busy?”

“Not for you. Come in.” He put the lyrics away.

“Don’t mind me.” You urged, “I’m just going to look around. Keep writing.”

Junhyung warily watched you give yourself another tour of his office. He reopened his notebook and started working on the lyrics.

You lightly ran your fingers along the keys of the piano. *It’s been so long. I wonder if I still remember how to play.* You sat down in front of it and stretched your fingers. Then you placed your hands on the keys.

Junhyung stopped writing when he heard a beautiful melody. He looked up and his eyes widened. *She’s making that beautiful sound?* Captivated, Junhyung put the notebook down and came over. He watched you play the sweet notes. The song captured his heart and moved him. He fell even more in love with you.

When you finished playing, you looked up at him. “I , huh?” You made a face with your tongue stuck out.

“Are you kidding me? That was…incredible. Where is that from?” Junhyung asked, mesmerized.

You shyly beamed, “I composed it.”

You nodded. “When I was 14, I went out to a piano competition. I had to make a song myself so I made this song thinking of my dad.”

“It’s…it’s really amazing. You should get this recorded or something.” Junhyung softly spoke in awe.

You embarrassingly rubbed the back of your neck and shook your head modestly, “Naw, it’s nothing special.”

“That was the definition of special. It was so beautiful. I’ve never heard anything like it before.” Junhyung whispered.

You softened, “Did you really like it?” He eagerly nodded, “I loved it.” “Then you can have it.” You beamed.
