Baekyeol’s Apartment
Wednesday, 11:50 PM

“, , …” Chanyeol kept mumbling whilst repeatedly jabbing his fingers against the elevator button. He had made it to Luhan and Sehun’s apartment in record time.

Ignoring every red light that came his way, probably not the brightest idea in the world since it’ll definitely make a dent in his bank account.

He had driven all the way to Luhan’s house only to find out that Luhan wasn’t there and neither was his pup. He was though met by a very disappointed looking Sehun.

An hour earlier…

Sehun answered the door to show a very fidgety and surprisingly not-so smiley Chanyeol who began barraging him with questions about his boyfriend and his whereabouts.

“Where are they Sehun?” Chanyeol asked in a state of panic before the younger sighed.

“They went to our old apartment in Incheon. Remember, the place where you and Baek first met.”  Sehun replied.

Chanyeol cursed loudly as he kicked the wall beside him, much to the younger’s displeasure. “Damn it!” He screamed into the night before he was shushed by the platinum blonde.

“Yah! Chanyeol be quite! You might wake up the neighbors.” The younger scolded.

“Luhan’s apartment is almost an hour away! For all I know Luhan could have brainwashed Baek into leaving me by the time I get there!” He yelled until he felt an enormous (and painful) smack on the face from the younger’s right hand.

“What the fu—”

“First and foremost, don’t talk about Luhan that way. He’s been nothing but supportive of your relationship with Baekhyun. Secondly, for the love of God! Shut the up! All I hear from you nowadays is your constant whining about how the universe is against you when in reality; you need to grow some ing balls!” Sehun yelled.

If you could really call that yelling since his voice didn’t really let him shout that loud, plus his mouth was pretty small… poor Luhan.

The silence between them grew thicker until Sehun decided to speak up once more. “Look Yeol, you’re a great guy and a fantastic boyfriend to Baek, any guy would be lucky to have you…” He started as he planted his palms on the elder’s shoulders.

“…you just need to trust yourself and stop playing games because it’s preventing you from being the person Baekhyun fell in love with.” He said before the elder sighed in defeat.

“I should’ve just proposed to him from the start.” Chanyeol admitted as they both agreed wholeheartedly.

“No use in dwelling on the past.” Sehun said before handing the elder a spare key to his boyfriend’s apartment they never use anymore unless they felt like doing “things” that required them to be more vocal since they couldn’t really do those things in a family friendly neighborhood.

“Here, go and get your fiancé” Sehun said as he handed Chanyeol the key; Chanyeol smiling for the first time that evening before he wrapped the younger in a tight embrace.

“Thanks Sehun-ah.” Chanyeol said before letting go and running back to his car.

Sehun watching as the car disappeared into the darkness. He exhaled as he brushed his fingers through his messy locks.

“Idiot”

“ this!” Chanyeol cursed before abandoning the elevator. He scanned the lobby until he spotted the emergency exit.

He pushed through the door like a linebacker before sprinting up the stairs. If memory served him right, the Chinese male’s apartment was situated on the seventh floor.

“Hu… hu…” Chanyeol began heaving by the fifth floor as he continued to run as fast as his legs allowed him.

Chanyeol stomped his heel on the ground when he reached the seventh floor out of breathe. He searched through every corridor, knocking his fist on every single door and getting either a rejection or a frying pan to the face when the person opening the door didn’t look like a pre-pubescent twelve year-old.

He had knocked on almost every door in the entire floor until he reached the very last one at the end of the hall.

“Of course it had to be the last one…” Chanyeol mumbled as he was about to run towards it until he saw it opening. He saw a man coming out and almost cried out of happiness when he realized it was Luhan.

“Luhan!” Chanyeol screamed before running up to the man.

“Thank God I found you, I went to your house first but Sehun said you were here so I drove as fast as I could. I could be wrong but I think I might end up on the six o’clock news tomorrow night.” He said as the elder’s face remained void of any emotion.

“Luhan, would it be okay if I talk to Baek?” Kris finally asked before he saw the elder begin glaring at him.

“To be frank with you, I don’t think you should.” Luhan replied flatly as he placed his hands on his hips. Chanyeol gaping at him like the world just collapsed before his eyes.  

“…w-what?” Chanyeol stuttered as he felt a familiar wetness brim his eyelids.

“He doesn’t want to talk to you right now.” He said; Chanyeol balling his hands into fists as he bit on his bottom lip to prevent the sobs from escaping.

“Y-You’re lying…” He whispered with his eyes closed shut as a tear managed to escape, landing on the floor beneath him while he hung his head low.

Luhan shook his head. “Unfortunately I’m not.”

Chanyeol shot his head up to face the elder. “I-I know you’re lying! B-Baek would never say that!” He screamed while trying to keep his voice from cracking though it came out more like suppressed sobs.

“But he did.” Luhan smirked.

Chanyeol had tears going down his cheeks by now. Not caring to wipe them away since he could barely muster up any energy to lift his arms.

“I need to talk to him; please Luhan… please let me talk to him.” He begged as Luhan walked beside him before leaning his lips only inches away from the younger’s ear.

“He left” He whispered only for Chanyeol to hear before making his way to the elevator.

Chanyeol turned around as he yelled for the man to come back. “Luhan! What do you mean he left?! Luhan! Luhan!” He continued to yell for the Chinese male until he vanished from his sight when the elevator doors closed.

Chanyeol began sobbing uncontrollably as he felt like his heart was about to burst out of his chest.

He fished the key Sehun gave him from his pocket before wiping the non-stop flow of tears and snot trailing down his face.

He ran towards the door, trying to insert the key inside door knob but he was having a hard time since his hand kept shaking.

He steadied his right arm by latching his left arm on it. He twisted the key until he heard a ‘click’ before opening it. Even though Luhan had told him Baekhyun was gone he wasn’t giving up. He was going to find something, maybe a clue where he might’ve went or maybe he left him a goodbye letter that he always prayed he’d never have to get in his lifetime.

He pushed the door open before his throat clamped up at the sight.

“B-Baek?”

“Hey Yeollie”

[a/n] Hello! So was this a rollercoaster of emotions or what? :P So the ending is near unfortunately guys, this was really fun and stress-free to write so thank you for all your lovely comments that give me the strength to write this-whateverthisis. So 2 chapters more until the fic officially ends. *throws confetti*

I think I'll be writing more Baekyeol in the future but for now I shall rest from writing for a bit. :P Though don't worry, the next chaps will come sooner as promised. I will update this first before my other fics.
