Knowing each other better
The Witch and The Ice Boy
After we met him he started to ask questions.
“You live in this Section?”
I nodded slowly. He wants to learn things about me? Really? Yay!!
“Yes, actually my parents live in Section 14, but they sent me here.”
He gives me a confused look. “Why?”
I tired to avoid his look. “Um… Well, when I was a child, I had a dog whose name was Jjang. I really loved it. And my family saw that. You must understand them. A witch…”
He completed my sentence. Ugh…How cute!
“Shouldn’t feel love.”
I nodded. “Yeah…And my mom got angry at me. She said I was a disappointment. When my dad came…everything became worst.”
I tried to remember that day. My father comes and talks with my mom, after that they come in my room he beats me up and says they had a decision. Like I’m a criminal…
“They just sent me here. But I’m not sad because my parents didn’t love me anyway.” I said while trying to smile.
He was nodding.
“What about you? Your family?” I asked nervously. Oh, dear Satan! I asked him a question. Kyaaa….
He stayed silent. “I… They died when I was 13.” Replied with a blank expression.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” I gasped.
He looked at me. “Yes, you are and it’s weird.”
I looked away.
“Where do you stay, anyway? I don’t think there’s a witch school.”
I sighed. “Yes, of course there isn’t. If you have talent you can do all the spells. We just use the magic books which are selling in the book stores. No one should go to a school, it's scary”
He scratched his head and I heard the voice. You know the voice you hear when you rub an ice piece against another. Does it hurt? I hope not!
I gulped. “In this section there’s a place for witches who are problematic, unwanted or whatever.”
“Like jails?” he asked with a doubt.
I shook my head. “No…Actually we don’t have any jail. Witches live really long, you know. So killing them is easier. That’s the only punishment we have. Burning them alive…”
He sighed. “So…your life is pretty boring, huh?”
I nodded. “Well, yeah but we can go outside like your countries. But you can’t come in. Just magical creatures come in the sections.”
“Well, I’m here…” he murmured.
“Because you’re a magical creature now” I said with a ‘duh..’ voice.
“There’s no way I can survive right?” His voice was careless.
“I…I don’t know.” I was trying to hide my excitement. Maybe Sarah can save him but I have to stick to the deal.
“I have a sister.” He spoke nonchalantly.
I was listening him eagerly. I want to know him better. I’m sure that his sister is as perfect as him.
“She’s all alone now. Can you do me a favor, Eunmi?”
Well, Of course! How can I say no to you, my love?
I nodded while smiling. “Of course!”
“Can…Can you go and be sure that she’s okay?”
I stopped for a while. I could do that, right? Oh, Satan dammit! I know his home I guess, but I have never seen his sister.
“Um…Okay but I don’t know how she looks like.”
He sighed. “I don’t have a picture of her.”
I clapped happily. Of course, I’m a witch. I should act like a witch more, Ugh Satan help me, please?
“Just think of her.” He looked at me with questioning looks but obeyed me.
I touch his forehead. Damn weeping angels, he is frosty.
I closed my eyes and tried to focus. While murmuring some spell, I saw her. She was smiling like there's no tomorrow.
“Gottcha!” I screamed happily. “Yah, Sehun-sshi, she’s so cute. She looks like you.” I said without thinking. Then I got red. I look like a tomato right now, damn.
He sighed. “Thanks but she’s just too young for living alone. And now I’m leaving too. What will she do?”
“I’m going right now, what was her name?”
He tried to smile but did you see an ice smiling before? No? I think you get what I mean…
“Her name is Seohee. She is 5 years old and…Don’t give her chocolate. Okay, it’s important. Just. Don’t. Give. Her. Chocolate.”
I nodded rapidly. “Um…okay. I’m out.”
