Chapter 14

A figure appeared out of the shadow at a distance outside ward 901, a heavily guarded private room Kyuhyun specially arranges to keep Kim Hyun Joong under surveillance. At the same time, Yunho and Amber steps out of the elevator walking towards the ward. Yunho feeling a little uneasy, stepped up his space a little before he spot an unfamiliar figure behaving suspiciously at a distance away from the ward Hyun Joong is kept in.

“Amber, stay here. I think we have an unwanted visitor. I need you to guard the exit. You can do this?” Amber nods as Yunho instructs in his husky low voice as he slowly slips in to the corner of the hallway.

Yunho quietly walks up to the man and tapped on his shoulder, “Hi, is there anything I can help you with sir?” taking the man by surprise. The man returned a cold stare and calmly walked towards the elevator without turning back. Yunho slightly agitated with his silent treatment, reaches out his arm to grab the man’s shoulder from behind. The men responded instinctively in an attempt to twist Yunho's arms only to find his arms locked and tripped over by Yunho. Sensing an unprecedented danger coming from Yunho's strength, the man struggles violently breaking free of Yunho's grip with a heavy price and ran towards the elevator with his fractured arm not knowing Amber is already waiting at the exit to ambush him.

Amber sensing something is amiss, gets ready to tackle the man running towards her direction. As the man approaches her, she swings her hand out and jabs directly at the man's throat taking the man aback once again at the sudden appearance of another attack. Somehow the man fell to his knees trembling this time round as he was totally freaked out by the dark aura Amber was emitting behind her. Her ghastly apparition seems to scare the hell out of him as he thinks he sees a real ghost instead of a human. Yunho ran over with the guards and pinned the startled man onto the floor and tied him up.

The tied up man was placed in a concealed room with no windows nor any signs of natural light was able to seep through. The room was surrounded by heavy slabs of concrete walls painted black in color and the ceilings and floors were loomed with dark metals exuberating an icy cold exterior with any intention of instilling fear into the suspect's heart.

Yunho walks into the room holding on to Amber's hand following behind him. A little lamp hovering above the suspects head lit up remotely. Yunho stares into the man with his eyes emotionless as Amber hides behind him still holding onto his hands.

“You need not introduce yourself. All I have is a few questions.” Yunho starts his interrogation. “Tell me, why are you here?”

The man remain silent.

“To silence him?”

The man continues his silence.

“Did you instigate this? ”

The man did not speak a word.

“Alright, thank you for your answer. I'm sure your daughter will be happy to come and bail you out in 48 hours time.”

The man twitched a little after hearing Yunho's statement, however, regained his composure once Yunho steps out of the room with Amber. Before Amber completely walks out, she turned to the man one last time and gave him a sympathetic look. The man trembled once more quickly closing his eyes and turned away from her.

Once the duo stepped out of the room, Amber asked Yunho, “Yun.. ho.. The interrogation seems simple.” Yunho smiles and replied, “Yes my dear.” Amber slightly alarmed at Yunho's affection followed by tinges of red blushing across her cheeks and in the meantime, Yunho was just purely enjoying every moment of her interesting reaction to him. “Well, Donghae and Kyuhyun is coming. Donghae will contnue interrogating him. We'll watch from afar.”

Donghae walks into the room casually. He pulls a chair from the corner of the room and sat right in front of the man with his both his arms and legs crossed and his back slumped down the chair.

Silence ensued as Yunho, Kyuhyun and Amber observes from the other side of the room divided by a huge black acid etched glass wall of which only the observation side of the room are able to see through.

“Hi!” Donghae waves. “Can you see me?”

The man confused at Donghae's action yet remain his composure and silence.

Donghae did not say anything and flashed his mega watt smile.

The man was further confused at his weird antics and decide to ignore it for his own good.

Donghae continues smiling like an idiot and looking straight at the man's eyes. This continued for at least an hour.

Amber in the meantime, on the other side of the room couldn't help but to feel amazed at Donghae's persistence even though she is totally clueless to what kind of tactics Donghae is using. She turn towards Kyuhyun who might provide a better insight to his actions, “Kyuhyunie, what is Donghae up to?”

'KYUHYUNIE?!' Both Yunho and Kyuhyun thought out loud in their heads. One in jealousy and the other exhilarated.

“Since when you starts calling me Kyuhyunie? Then can I call you 'Xiao Yun'?” Kyuhyun responded playfully much to the dismay of Yunho who can't seem to break the bonds those two are starting to build up.

“Its been a while I last heard someone calling me that.” A name Amber's family dearly called her.

“Anyways, you know Donghae is good in discerning with people's mind. At the same time, he is good with playing people's mind too although like I said before, he didn't seem like it. He's good in interrogations. Now he is just playing time with the suspect. We need to mess his head up a little to loosen him up a little.” Kyuhyun explained.

Yunho brushes off his slight frustrations from the other two display of affections and continues explaining, “Its a process. That man is a trained assailant. Normal interrogations has no effect on him at all. Look at how he reacts at the mention of his precious daughter. This is no longer a simple emotion he has held on to just completing the task of assassinating Hyun Joong, it is more than just an offered job. That is why we need Donghae to interrogate him personally. Although if he fails, Amber you might be of help though.” Yunho recalls how the suspect reacts to Amber's dark aura and lets out a chuckle.

Amber suddenly tugs Yunho's shoulder, “Why are you laughing?” she asked him with a pair of intent eyes.

Yunho says nothing and lets out a smile.

Kyuhyun's eyes focus back to the interrogation. He noticed the man was wearing a black metallic watch with no clockface but an electronic screen with two buttons found below, one green and another red. In no time, Kyuhyun walked to a corner of the room and took out his cellphone and called out to Taemin for him to come over. “Taemin ah, come over here as fast as you can. The suspect is wearing something that doesn't look like a normal watch.” he whispered softly into the phone not wanting to alarm the others.

Yunho sensing something is amiss, knew immediately Kyuhyun must have spotted something crucial. He gestured him out of the room leaving Amber all alone in the interrogating room.

“Hyung, I'm not hundred percent sure yet, but the watch the man is wearing is strange. That man might be a suicide bomber or anything destructive in that manner. I'm getting Taemin over. In the meantime, do not let Donghae mention anything about Hyun Joong's whereabouts.”

“I get it.” Yunho immediately barged into the black room and gestured Donghae out.

“Hyung? What happened? Why the sudden abruption?” Donghae feeling totally absurd at his actions.

“Change of plans. We'll continue once Taemin comes over.”

“Taemin? Do you mean? Oh my god!” Donghae dawned at the realization at how dangerous the situation might get if he continues on. They know if Taemin is called for in this situation for technical assistance, it spells danger. Everyone in the team knows about it except for Amber who never lift her eyes off the suspect ever since the guys left the room.

Left alone inside, Amber observes every single movements the man make. She observed any possible emotions the man might show. She couldn't help but instinctively feel danger oozing out from his head to his toe. Yet at the same time, knowing he has a daughter and reacting even slightly to her, she felt humanity in him. Unknowingly, she walked out of the observation room and opens the door to the interrogating room, which is also known as the black room. As she steps into it with her guards up, she couldn't help but enjoy the thrill in executing an interrogation herself in a comfortable dark and cold room like this. The man sensing imminent danger, looked up and saw a smiling Amber staring intensely at him unbeknownst to herself. Instinctively, the man curled up into a ball and trembled in fear sensing an evil intent darting out at him. As trained as he seem to be, the natural dark aura seems to be tickling his every senses and telling him, its dangerous than death itself. Amber enjoying every process of this speaks.

“Thy man, why are you here? Speak for yourself. Did you intend to kill Hyun Joong with a kitchen knife? Or were you planning to use a tuning fork and forcefully stab into his torso. Or were you planning on poisoning him with rat's poison? Were you planning a locked room mystery?”

Amber, once immersed herself into her fantasy, lost all her rationale and continues bombarding the suspect with gruesome and graphical questions which totally mess him up.

Yunho walks back into the observation room to find Amber terrorizing the suspect in the black room instead much to his shock. Initially fearing for Amber's danger, dash out toward the black room to find the man terrorized and slumbered into a state of shock. At the same time, Amber was uncontrollably continuing her interrogation emitting her dark aura once again taking Yunho back a few steps. In the midst of it, he notice the suspect trying to searching for something on his left wrist and instinctively, he ran towards the man and grabbed both of his hands and quickly pulled the watch out of his left hand. Without hesitation, he carried Amber up in bridal style and ran out of the black room knowing its impossible to pacify Amber at this state.

Amber snapped back to reality once Yunho lift her up.

Yunho then decides it too dangerous to let her see the suspect again and brought her in to the room where Hyun Joong is kept instead.

Guilt was written all over Amber's face as she recalled what had happened earlier on. She didn't want to impose on the others but wasn't too sure what had gone over her. Its like an adrenaline rush for her whenever she chances anything that connects with her fantasy. This was no exception at all. She felt embarrassed at causing so much trouble for Yunho and kept her head low. Yunho couldn't help but feel sorry for her and leaned towards the girl in repentance. Or is she really repenting, no one knows but Yunho couldn't help but wrap his arms around her as Amber synonymously digs her head into his chest.

The beautiful moment didn't last long as Taemin suddenly walks in.

“Ah Hyung? Sorry to break your moments, but I'm here.” Taemin feeling a little sorry for breaking them up but know that there is no time to delay.

The two naturally breaks up and Yunho walks over to Taemin and handed him the watch he forcefully took off from the suspect. Taemin took it over and carefully examined the exterior of the device. In the meantime, Kyuhyun and Donghae walks in.

“Hyung! I don't know what's inside the device yet but from the exterior, its a heart rate monitor watch. Let me open and check.”

Taemin within moment, pried open the device to find nothing but micro chip boards. “Kyu Hyung! Sometimes you think too much! Its just a simple heart rate monitor device~”

“Then why did he hold on so dearly to it, especially... Ahhh! I get it.” Yunho suddenly realize the man's immediately action to search for the watch. His heart was in danger at the sight of Amber. Uncontrollably, he lets out a chuckle again surprising everyone in the room.

One of the guards ran into the room frantically, “Sir, the suspect is throwing a fit now, do we sent him to emergency?”

“Huh? A fit? Quick, get the doctors over now!” Kyuhyun instructed.

“Aye Sir.”

it took me forever to write this.. i didn't know how to continue this story at a point. i guess it got more and more boring.. kekeke...

my work is taking a toll on me especially during the formula 1 period in Singapore.. that's why i took forever to update.. i guess no one really reads anymore so.. i'm fine with just updating slowly..  kekeke..
