The rest of Infinite were waiting in a small shack on the edge of town. The boys greeted each other, awkwardly because of Myungsoo's arms which were still propped up on crutches. They all seemed genuinely concerned for Myungsoo and Jiyeon, especially Sunggyu who's face showed a hint of remorse for not following Myungsoo when he had gone to rescue Jiyeon.

Obviously feeling guilty, he turned away after making sure that neither of them were too badly harmed. Curiosity framed the faces of the other Infinite members as they looked at Eunjung, a new face in this crowd and also hostility and loathing as they came face with Kai, a former enemy. 

"Hi," Kai said cheerfully, not sensing the hostile atmosphere. When no reply came his way, he looked around awkwardly, his forehead creasing a little as he asked, "Is something wrong?"

Just then, Sehun who had been making some cups of tea made his entrance, about half a dozen cups balanced on two trays were held in each of his hands. His eyes, that had been focused on balancing the trays, glanced up to watch where he was going. As he caught sight of Kai, a flicker of recognition flashed across his face. He blinked in surprise and his mouth opened slightly as he took in the sight in front of him. 

"Kai?" Sehun's astonished face wasn't suspicious to the Infinite members because it was suspected as much that anyone would be shocked to see former enemies sitting side by side in a room without even the slight raising of voices. 

Kai tilted his head to the side, an action that showed uncertainty accompanying a questioning expression, "Do I know you?" 

Sehun's eyebrows furrowed as he scrutinized Kai. 

"Apparently he's lost his memory," Sungyeol explained in response to Sehun's questioning gaze, however the doubt was fully visible in his tone of voice and in his face as well as in the face of the other members making it obvious that they didn't trust Kai. Not one little bit. 

Kai's carefree laugh broke the tensed atmosphere, "Oh, my mistake. We were all friends, right? No need to get so upset because I couldn't remember you." The clap on his back nearly made the glasses topple over and smash on the floor, Kai chuckled and grabbed the tray from him before setting it down on the table.

Then he pulled Sehun down on the couch and smiled at him, "So what have I missed, buddy?" 

Sehun was unable to close his mouth, his surprise preventing him from forming words let alone voicing them. A movement from the corner of his eye grabbed his attention. Jiyeon was helping Myungsoo up the stairs and he was staring at her, a warm gaze filled with lust. He had never seen that look in Myungsoo before, he had always been a person dedicated to his work, to Infinite and Infinite only however that seemed to have changed with the new addition to his life. 

A beautiful angel by the name of Park Jiyeon.

As Jiyeon helped Myungsoo into a chair, her hair fell past her face, grazing his cheek. He breathed in her scent, to any other person it would have smelled of cheap hospital soap however to Myungsoo it gave off a slightly flowery scent.

His eyes lingered on her soft lips and he couldn't help but tighten his hands around hers as she attempted to move away. Jiyeon's eyes met his, a flicker of surprise on her face and Myungsoo felt his cheeks turn hot as he hastily let go of her hands. As straightened up, he saw a flash of pain streak across her face. Her hand automatically moved to her stomach where she had been shot but the action was so subtle that only someone who was paying close attention could notice it. She didn't voice her pain though and somehow that made Myungsoo's heart ache a little.

After all he blamed himself for not being able to block Kai's bullet. 

"I just- sorry," His hands fell to his sides. 

Jiyeon blushed and smiled awkwardly, "It's alright, you don't have to apologize." 

"I- I do, I should be the one who's helping you but with this leg," he indicated to his tightly bandaged leg with an apologetic tone in his voice. He couldn't help but notice Jiyeon's hand wander subconsciously to the bullet wound. 

Jiyeon became tightlipped when hearing that, "I can take care of myself, you know. I've survived by myself for the past five years, fourteen if you count the years I spent in that rotten orphanage. Of course, it wasn't all by myself, Eunjung helped me too." 

Myungsoo smiled playfully but there was a more serious expression that showed in his orbs. He placed his hand atop Jiyeon's to grab her full attention, feeling the softness of her skin underneath the slightly rough exterior of his own. With full sincerity displayed in his eyes, he spoke,

"But I want to take care of you now, I want to be the one you can rely on, the shoulder you can rest your head on. I don't know when or how but I've started wanting to protect someone other than Infinite. I don't want you to pretend that you can take everything the world throws at you. I want to be there when you smile, laugh, cry - I want to be the one there when it seems like the whole world has turned against you. So, will you just let me take care of you now?" 

A/N: Oh Gosh, that last line was just too cheesy to write and I'm sorry if it made you feel all eugh but you know.. I was watching a drama and they just make me write cheesy things like this ^0^ 

Anyway at least you lovely readers got a Myungyeon moment xD
