Sunny's POV

It’s a Sunday today, which means that most of our schedules are empty. Some of the girls have gone out be at their acquired schedules but Yoona, Jessica, Yuri, Seohyun, Taeyeon and I are at home. We’ve got the whole day to do whatever we want. For me, that’s staying in bed.

“Sunny-ah, your cold has gotten worst. You should blow your nose.” Taeyeon hands me two plies of tissue and I sat up and blew my nose. Stupid cold weather ruining my day. At least I have Taeyeon with me. I slid back down and pulled the blankets over my head to try to keep as warm as I could.

“What a bummer to have you sick today Soonkyu. I was hoping that we could go out somewhere together, but I guess we have to do that another time.”

“I’m really sorry for being sick today Taeyeon-ah. I couldn’t help it. You can go out with someone else if you want, I don’t mind,” when in fact, I do mind. I just didn’t want Taeyeon to blame me for staying home doing nothing.

“That’s ok Sunny, I’ll stay home today, someone needs to take care of you, ne? You need to be all healthy again for a busy week.” She uncovered my head and looked at me deeply. “I’ll be here for you, in return, you’ll have to take care of me when I get sick, call?” She quickly poked my red nose, which irritated me and made me sneeze. I quickly looked away and sneezed into the tissues that I was holding.

“Ne, call.” I smiled and her, I probably looked like a mess at the moment. I grabbed the blankets and pulled it over my head again. “I’ll try and sleep unnie. I’ll call you when I need something.”

I closed my eyes and felt Taeyeon leave the bed, “I’ll be right back Sunny bunny. Don’t do anything stupid while I’m gone.” I giggled at Taeyeon’s joke, please don’t make me laugh so much Taengoo.

I laid there in a half asleep state when I heard the door open again. I didn’t respond, I pretended to be asleep. “Sunny-ah, are you awake? I heard you were sick.” It’s the voice of Yoona.

I groaned at her, “I have a cold and it’s slowing me down.” To her, I sounded muffled because of the blanket over my head. “I don’t want you to catch it too, you should just leave me to rest. I’ll be better tomorrow, promise.” Yoona sighed and left the room. I was alone again but then I heard the door open again.

“It’s Yoona again! I came with some breakfast made by Taeyeon-ah.” She placed it on the bedside table next to me. “C’mon, get out from under there and eat, you need your strength if you want to fight the cold.”

I slowly peeped out of my blankets and saw a tray with a cup of tea and some oatmeal. Ah, a nice warm breakfast for me, “Thank you Yoon-ah, tell Taeyeon-ah thank you too.”

“Ok, enjoy your meal.” She left the room and closed the door. Kekeke, Taeyeon made this warm meal specially for me, Taeyeon, you’re jjang. I sat up and started sipping the tea, as I did, I looked at my bowl of oatmeal and saw a love heart drawn on it with honey. Can’t help but smile, now I don’t feel like ruining the honey love heart, but I started to dig into anyway. It’s made by Taeyeon-ah, so it must be nice, she is a really good cook.

I blew on the spoon of oatmeal to cool it down and put it in my mouth. “Mmmm, this is so good, the texture is perfect.” I took my time eating the oatmeal, enjoying every bite. Just then, Taeyeon peeked into the room to see how I was going.

“Ah, you’re still eating? How is it?” I could tell that she had a nervous look on her face. C’mon Taeyeon, we both know that you’re a pro in the kitchen.

“The best oatmeal I’ve had in my life.” I replied giving her a giant smile. She looked at the ground and started to blush. “I’ve finished eating. Thank you for the food.” She came in and took the tray with the empty dishes. “What are you doing out there Unnie?” I asked her before she left.

She turned around “The girls and I are just eating breakfast and watching some running man reruns. Don’t worry Sun, I’ll be back later.” And with that, she left. Didn’t know how lonely I could be until today. Looks like I have nothing better to do than lay here. I reached for my phone on the bedside table and started reading twitter messages that fans have left me. I tweeted out that I was sick and in a few seconds, I got tweets back at me with fans giving me support and telling me to get well soon. I love my fans, I won’t be able to keep going without them. I smiled to myself and drifted off to sleep.

It was around 12 o’clock when I woke up to find Taeyeon beside the bed leaning over at me. Her beautiful face was so close to mine. She backed away from me and bit her bottom lip. “Ah Sunny, I’m so sorry for waking you up. I came in here to tell you that I’ll be going out with the other girls to get some lunch and I also have to get something.” She stood there twiddling her fingers waiting for me to reply.

I rubbed my eyes and wiped my nose, I feel even worse than earlier, my nose was running like crazy and I had a slight fever. I whispered to her as I didn’t have the strength to speak normally. “Wha-? Taeyeon-ah, you’re going out?” I was pretty mad at her, she told me she was going to stay and look after me. “What if I die while you’re out, what will you do then?” I turned to face away from her. “Just go Taeyeon, I’ll be here, slowly dying.”

She giggled, as if you would laugh at a time like this. “I’m so sorry Sunny bunny, but you’re being too dramatic, you’re not going to die. I think your fever has gotten you a bit crazy.” She leaned onto the bed and looked at me. I closed my eyes and pretended not to listen. “Lee Soonkyu, if you die today, I’ll die tomorrow. I cannot live without you, you don’t want me to die do you?” Taeyeon-unnie, I can’t live without you either. I’m miserable without you, please don’t die before I do. She then laughed again, “I feel like I’m in a drama.”

“Just go already, I’ll hang on until you get back, please come back as soon as you can.” I mumbled to her.

“C’mon Sunny, I’m only going for lunch, I’m going to get you something too, when I come back, you’re going to thank me.” She poked me on the cheek. “Your cheeks are so soft. Like a bunny. Keke.” You know what Taeyeon-ah, I forgive you. Just please come back quickly.

“Please hurry back.” She got off the bed and headed out of the room. I tossed on the bed again, now facing the ceiling. I squeezed my cheeks with the palms of my hands, making a fishy face. They are quite soft and smooth, then I noticed something smudged on my hand, it’s a pale red colour. “What is this?!” I took my phone camera out and used it as a mirror. Turned my head and saw what looks like an almond shaped lipstick mark. That could only mean one thing… I slumped back into bed and couldn’t help but snuggle one of Taeyeon’s pillows. How dare you do this to me Taeyeon-ah, while I sleep? That’s so sneaky.

I was listening to some music when I heard my sisters enter the house, they’re a noisy lot. The door opened and I was greeted by all the girls.

“Are you feeling any better unnie?”

“Naww, Sunny-ah, we missed you at lunch today.”

“Sunny, hope you get better soon.”

“How are you feeling. We bought some warm beef broth for you Danshin.” Yuri came up to me and gave me a thermos. Sooyoung followed behind with a couple of napkins.

“Sorry but we couldn’t save you any of the meat. Sooyoung’s fault.” Tiffany nudged Sooyoung playfully.

“Thank you so much, thank you for greeting me today and for the broth, I will eat well and become healthy again.” I gave everyone at the door a big smile.

“Sunny, Bunny, Hwaiting!” They all cheered harmoniously and clapped for me. My sisters are the best at cheering me up. One by one they left the room, except for Taeyeon. She stood there in a corner, she was hiding something behind her back. She had a look on her face that looked like she wanted me to ask what was behind her back. How obvious Taeyeon-ah.

Sigh, “what’s behind your back Taeyeon-ah.” Now she had a Byuntae look on her face, I feel dominated just by her looking at me like that. “Taeyeon-ah, you said you had to get something, what did you buy?”

“Close your eyes, Lee Soonkyu.” I pouted and closed my eyes, I didn’t peek because I wanted it to be a genuine surprise. “Ok, open your eyes.” As I opened them, my heart skipped a beat. Taeyeon was sitting beside my on the bed with a nurse hat on her head. She looked really cute and I just sat there frozen, didn’t know what to say.

“Is that, is that a nurse hat? Where do you even get one of those? Taeyeon-ah, do you have a cosplay that you haven’t told me about?” She looked away from me and and giggled. I could tell she was embarrassed. Taengoo, why must you do this to me, dressing up as a nurse will only make me weaker from your aegyo. “You look really cute in that Taengoo.”

She looks at me with a poker face, “it’s Nurse Taeyeon to you missy.” I couldn’t help but roll over and laugh, Taeyeon why! I can’t help but love you for being you.

“Ne, Nurse Taeyeon. How do you think I’m feeling today?”

“Hmmm,” she placed the back of her hand against my forehead, “looks like you’re going to have to stay in bed for the rest of the day Soonkyu.” She grabbed a couple of tissues and held in against my nose. “Blow.” I stared at her and blew my nose, then she wriggled my head left and right.

“I don’t want you to get sick too Taengoo. I can blow my nose myself.”

“I’m sure you can, and it’s Nurse Taeyeon. Ah look at the time, it’s time for you to eat.” Taeyeon reached for the thermos and opened the lid to release the hot steam of the broth. She grabbed the spoon and started mixing it. “Ah!” She opened wide and instructed me to do the same, so I did and she carefully put the spoon up to my mouth for me to sip. Her face was really funny and cute as she makes faces that mothers make at their babies when they feed them. This is really giving me déjà vu, I can’t help but sit there quietly as she feeds me. If I wasn’t sick, I would kiss you right now Taengoo. This is like something you would find in a fanfic, a picture of Taeyeon dressed like a nurse and feeding me. It’s like a dream come true for me, and today, my dream has to turned into reality.

I have finished eating and I feel better, thanks to Taeyeon. “Nurse Taeyeon, thank you for the meal, I’ve enjoyed it very much.”

“I’m glad to be at service.” She cleaned up the thermos and gave me a water bottle. “Drink this, and I want you to sleep for the rest of the afternoon. I want you to sweat as much as you can. It’s the only way to get well, ne?” I nodded my head, she left the room so I did what she told me and got under the covers to keep as warm as I could, in a few minutes I was fast asleep.

I woke up a few hours later and I felt really stuffy under the blankets and really hot and sweaty, I should drink more water to replace the fluids that I’ve lost. I was going to reach out for the water bottle but I felt something hold me back. Something was wrapped around me. Is that- Taeyeon? Taeyeon! What is she doing under the sheets with me. I’m really sweaty so I was really embarrassed for her to be holding on to me, but she was fast asleep. My brain tells me to leave the bed but my heart tells me to stay in her arms. I’ve decided to stay and do as she has told me, I’ve also decided on a new nickname. “Nurse Byuntaeng.” I whispered. “Saranghaeyo.”

A/N: Wow, a day after writing this I became sick with the fever. I rarely get fevers, is this coincidence or destiny! I want my own Nurse Byuntaeng.
