In Love With a Bad Girl
Tiffany sighed for the umpteenth time, she stared at herself through the mirror. Murmuring something that she only knew.
She should be ready in a minute if she didn't want her father to be mad. Hwang family planned to have dinner with Kwon family, since the dinner had been cancelled yesterday.
"Hwang Miyoung!! Out now!!" her father called her from downstairs
Tiffany sighed and checked herself through the mirror for one last time, then exited her room immadiately. She could see her father was waiting for her.
"let's go.." Mr.Hwang said, and Tiffany followed from behind
The ride was quiet, neither of them wanted to speak. Tiffany could only watch the night view outside the car, and Mr.Hwang was busy with his paperwork.
"we're here, i don't want you to make a scene, so you better behave.." Mr.Hwang said before he got out from the car
Tiffany didn't answer her dad. She just followed him from behind till they reached the front door of Kwon mansion.
"good evening, Mr.Hwang.." Mr.Kwon greeted
"good evening, Mr.Kwon.." Mr.Hwang greeted back
"come in.." Mr.Kwon step aside, so the Hwangs could come in
"so, is she your daughter?" Mr.Kwon asked, once the Hwangs were inside
"yes, she's Tiffany. My daughter.."
"nice to meet you, Tiffany.." Mr.Kwon offered her hand for a handshake
"nice to meet you too, sir.." Tiffany took Mr.Kwon's hand
"just call me uncle, okay?" Mr.Kwon said, and Tiffany nodded
The three of them went to the dining room, foods and drinks were already served on the table. Yoona and her grandfather joined afterwards.
"this is my daughter, Yoona. And this is my father, the real owner of Kwon Group, Kwon Seunghoon.."
"it's my pleasure to meet you, sir.." Mr.Hwang said to the oldest
"just drop the formalities, okay?" the oldest Kwon smiled
"seems like our daughters interest to each other.." the younger Kwon commented
"it's good.." Mr.Hwang smiled
The dinner went smoothly. Yoona took glances to Tiffany every second. But, Tiffany didn't pay attention to the other girl. She was bored to death.
Just then, Yuri came, ruining everything. She didn't know that Tiffany and Mr.Hwang were there. She went home just to see her grandfather.
"Yuri.." the oldest Kwon noticed it first
"grandpa.." Yuri said, took a glance at Tiffany nervously
"good to see you here. You're finally home, dear.." her grandpa walked towards her
"she's your daughter?" Mr.Hwang asked the younger Kwon
"yes, Yuri is his daughter, my grandchild.." the oldest Kwon said before the younger could say a word
The atmosphere became awkward. Tiffany threw Yuri a questioning look. And Yuri was cursing herself for coming in the wrong time. She knew she would get more trouble, because her father would be mad for sure.
"you're dead, Kwon.." Yoona gritted her teeth, glaring to her stepsister
"i need you to explain.." Tiffany said, walking side by side with her girlfriend after the dinner
"......"
"why didn't you tell me you're a Kwon?" Tiffany stopped at her track and sat on a bench
"i'm sorry.." Yuri said, not daring to look at her girlfriend's eyes
"......"
"i'm no longer a Kwon.......i guess.."
"what do you mean?" Tiffany looked up
"Yoona is my stepsister, and she hates me as much as my father do. That's why i prefer to move out from that house. I come only for my grandpa.." Yuri explained
"why?"
"My mother died, right after i was born. That's why my father hates me so much. He would always blame me for my mother's death. And i can't stand it anymore.." Yuri added
"......"
"i could live because my grandparents had taken care of me. If they didn't, maybe i was dead long time ago.." Yuri said, holding back her tears
Tiffany finally understood why her girlfriend was a mess, cold, expressionless, and harsh to people. She wanted to cry, knowing that her girlfriend had through a lot.
Tiffany pulled Yuri by the neck, and slowly embracing her. She rubbed the other girl's nape gently and kissed her cheek, to comfort her. Meanwhile, Yuri had her eyes closed. She was enjoying the warmth of her girlfriend's embrace, and she loved it. She never felt like this before.
"aren't you mad?" Yuri asked between the hug
"no.."
"why?"
"because i'm not supposed to be mad at you. I understand, Yuri.." Tiffany broke the hug, then cupped the other girl's face
"thank you.....thank you so much.." Yuri stared deeply into her girl's eyes, and Tiffany just smiled in response
Yuri was really glad to have Tiffany in her life. She could feel how to be loved, and she was more than happy. Tiffany was the best gift from God, and she would try her best to take care of her girl, she promised.
"it must be hard for you.." Tiffany rested her head on the other girl's shoulder
"no, because i have you now.." Yuri replied calmly
"then, you should tell me if you have problems.."
"i'll try.."
"good.." Tiffany smiled
"let's go home.." Yuri stood up and took the other girl's hand
"can i stay at your place tonight?" Tiffany said with puppy eyes
"hmm, what about your dad?"
"i'll deal with him later.."
"naughty girl.." Yuri pinched her girlfriend's nose playfully
"I'm tired, too tired to argue.." Tiffany pouted
"hmm, okay.." Yuri nodded
"Yuri.."
"hmm?"
"i love you.."
"......"

"i love you too.."
It was the first time in Yuri's life saying those words. And it felt so right to say it. It felt better when she realized she said it to Tiffany. For now, she just wanted to forget everything. Everything that was complicated.
