Our calls have been somewhat constant, but it seems as if we only call because it has become a habit. Our meets are secretive and limited. It's as if we're both silently suffocating yet we don't make a sound to disrupt the peace. We've grown comfortable. We've grown mature. Let alone, we've grown to know what we want and have. We knew we wanted this and we knew we entered this journey desiring to find "Forever" along the way. We knew we had one another in grief and joy. We fought to be where we are, but time isn't playing its part it seems. The subject of separating wasn't one we yearned to talk about because it was our goal to prevent that from happening. He wanted this. I wanted this. We wanted "us". There was a finish line to be drawn, but we just couldn't see far enough if it we were going to celebrate achievement or defeat.

 

 

"Nichkhun...." My voice fades after his name.

 

"Yeah?" He was interested.

 

"Where do you think we'll go from here?" I tried to brighten up my tone and not sound so worried.

 

"We're going to soar above everyone and be a living testimony of what true love really is!" His energy shot up through the cellular device.

 

Inside my heart, I prayed that his words bared truth.
