Tip 9

Write with your /21th Century Breakdown

One tiny little thing we always overlook in our fics.

The time.

Let's say, this romcom (romantic comedy) fic starts with a new school semester. Then they start dating. After like 3 months maybe, it's Christmas. Then it's New Years where the cliche watching fireworks scene happens. Then BAM her birthday comes, then their anniversary.

I'm not sure how to elaborate more on this, but this is something we need to take note of. How long was the time since what what incident happened, or how long passed since someone killed someone else. Or when was the last time they had their date, or held hands, or something. Girls being girls, will forever be delusional and full of themselves if the guy last held her hand one week ago. (I'm a girl. Not delusional. Im different from the normal human race, my teacher said)

Time heals =]
