“Unnie, what are you doing? You’ll get caught!”

“Trust me, you’ll be like this once you’re in love.”

“I know but...”

“No buts, maknae. Be a good dongsaeng and follow your unnie’s order! Call your boyfriend and ask him what i told you, arasso?”

“But unnie...”

“Bye, dongsaeng. Talk to you later.”

I smiled evilly. Being unnie has its perks.

And that includes bullying the younger ones.

Kekekeke.

Don’t ask me why i called the maknae, you’ll find out later.

“IM YYYOOOONNNNAAAAAA!!!!”

Oh crap.

I ran inside the house and saw Sunny unnie with her hands on her hips, looking all scary.

Scary bunny? Nah.

“W-wae, unnie?”

“Where have you been again, Yoona? You’re supposed to help us clean the house.”

“I’m sorry, i just...uhh...i went to pee.” I lied.

Sunny unnie glared at me and nodded.

“Arasso. Just help us here. Why are you always gone, anyways?”

I contemplated on telling her my secret or not. I know i should because she’s my sister and she has the right to know. Despite that unnie always us, i know she’s just doing it to protect us. She supports YoonYul like my other unnies.

Sunny unnie is a TwinTrooper, too.

“Unnie...” I started. Sunny unnie saw the hesitance on my face so she began to worry.

“What’s wrong, Yoong?” she asked.

“Unnie, i want to confess...”

“about what?”

“I want to confess to Yuri.” I said with my eyes closed. I opened them and saw the soft look mixed with confusion on unnie’s face.

“I thought you did that already? I thought you’re together?”

“Well, i asked her before you two came here but everything isconfusing and i don’t think Yuri heard it.” I looked down.

“What makes you think that? I know for sure that Yuri likes you too.”

“Well...i ...i’m confused with the way she acts around me. One minute, she’s all over me, then the next minute, she acts like i’m just a friend to her. She’s giving me mixed signals, unnie.” I frowned.

Sunny unnie put her arms around me and said, “Aigoo, my big dongsaeng. We all know that Yuri is always like that. She’s a kkab. I’m surprised that you’re patient with her because we know guys always leave because they get impatient with her.”

“I’m different from those guys. I love her so i stick with her. I never get tired of waiting for her.”

“I know, Yoong.” Sunny unnie sighed happily. “What makes you decided to confess to her, well...formally?”

“Well, after that Valentine’s date night that we had, I thought it’s about time to finally ask her about us. I want to make her feel special everyday so that she would know how much i love her.”

“But i think that you’re always showing that to her.”

“I feel that it’s not enough, unnie.”

Sunny unnie looked at me for a while and smile.

 Sunny unnie and I planned about what we will do for Yuri tonight. We have to be sneaky about it so that others wouldn’t find out especially Yuri. So, whenever there are chances that Sunny and I could talk about our plan, we talked about it.

As Sunny unnie is explaining what we will do,  I saw Yuri walking towards us.

“Unnie, Yuri is coming!” I whispered at her.

I think Yuri sensed that we’re hiding something from her so she walked towards us, abruptly. Her face turned into a frown but nevertheless, she’s still beautiful.

Aigoo, how can a girl will be so beautiful even when she’s angry?

Kwon Yuri as much as i don’t want you to be angry,

OMONA.

“Sunny-yah! Yoongie! What are you two talking about? Care to share it? I’m part of your group, too!” Yuri stomped her feet which made me spazz again as Sunny unnie rolled her eyes.

What happened to being a trooper?!

“Yuri-yah, don’t be jealous, Yoongie and i were just discussing things.” Sunny unnie replied.

“How important that could be and how come you didn’t even let me join in it?” Yuri grumbled like a child.

Aigoo~ she’s so cute.

“It’s because we don’t want you in it.” Sunny meronged at her.

Yuri looked at me to confirm what Sunny unnie said and i couldn’t help but feel guilty. It’s a surprise for her and i don’t want to ruin my surprise.

“Is it true, Yoongie?” she asked as she looked at me with those so beautiful eyes.

I am THIS close to tell her the truth!

“N-ne.” I mumbled.

Sorry, my baby. This is for our future.

“Fine. Have fun with that.” Yuri left.

“Yuri-yah!” I called out as i was about to follow her but Sunny unnie stopped me.

“Let her be. It’s a great opportunity, don’t you think? She’s mad and your surprise for her will make it up from hiding this.”

“Jinja?”

“Trust me, dongsaeng.”

“O-okay.”

After that incident with Yuri, Sunny unnie kept on assuring me that it’s okay that Yuri is throwing daggers at me because she said that my surprise will make it up for her.

 But does Sunny unnie knows how Yuri glares at me every time i speak?!

Does Sunny unnie knows how Yuri bumps me whenever we walked by each other?!

Does Sunny unnie knows how Yuri is cursing me in her mind with the way she looks at me?!

Does she?!

Does she?!

I’m a battered husband right now, you know?!

Aigoo. I am so close to admitting Yuri the truth because of this. As much as I want to keep this secret, i couldn’t take Yuri’s scowling face at me.

I want her smiling at me, not being mad at me!

WHAM!

“Ouch!” I yelled as i nursed my head.

“Will you cut that out?! Stop pouting like it’s the end of the world!” Sunny unnie scolded me.

“It is! I can’t take it that Yuri is mad at me!”

“Psshh, whipped.” Sunny unnie mumbled.

“I heard that!” I yelled. “Unnie, i’m really doubting to continue this because i’m scared what if Yuri don’t like my surprise?” I mumbled.

“Dongsaeng, trust your unnie, i told you so many times, Yuri will like it.” She said as she put her arms around my shoulder and i just nodded at her.

“Now call the maknae to make sure that our plan will work tonight.” She slapped my back.

“Arasso, boss.” I rolled my eyes.

I never felt so nervous like this in my entire life. I feel like i’m about to get married...

I checked everything around me as i wait for Sunny unnie to pick Yuri up. So, i’m here in a gazebo, the middle of a meadow surrounded by romantic lanterns and flowers as i practice the chords of the song that Yonghwa oppa suggested.

I bet he just want to impress me so i could approve him as the maknae’s boyfriend.

Well, i approve alright!

While practicing the chords, i couldn’t help but get the nerves all over me. People would always say that i’m Im Yoona, i’m  SNSD, i’m the prettiest girl in Korea, i’m not allowed to get nervous. They trained me to be that way.

But someone can explain to me the feeling that i’m feeling right now?

My heart beats so fast, thinking what Yuri would say once she sees this.

Then, one moment i realized...

I am a human, too.

I’m capable of getting nervous, too.

Especially when it’s from the person that is important to you.

You get to think that nothing is more important than to make her happy. Then, everything is alright.

So this is the night.

The night that i’m going to confess to Yuri.

I know you’re all wondering why i’m still doing this when Yuri perfectly knew my feelings for her.

If you only knew people.

Besides, Yuri deserves gestures like this because she’s the most wonderful being ever. I am not saying this because i’m a bias but i just want her to feel how sincere i am about her.

RING...RING...RING...

“Yeboseyo?” I answered.

“Yah, we’re almost there. Be ready.” Sunny unnie said on the other line.

I hid my phone back in my pocket and i couldn’t help but panicked.

It’s time!

I checked my surrounding to make sure everything is perfect.

Romantic setting. Check.

Me in my dress. Check.

Me smelling good. Check.

Me and mini guitar. Check.

Me and chords of the song i supposed to sing. Check.

There. i’m ready.

As i was humming a song, i saw Sunny unnie guiding a blind-folded Yuri walking towards my direction. I could also hear them bickering as they made their way here.

“Sunny-yah! why can’t you tell me where are we going? Why do you have to blindfold me? Where’s Yoona? Does she know about this?” Yuri asked.

Sunny unnie exhaled which probably meant that Yuri kept on asking the same question so many times.

“I already told you, Kwon Yuri. Trust me with this one. You’ll know soon enough.”

Sunny unnie saw me and signalled me to play the guitar.

Oh yeah! This is the start!

Im Yoona, Hwaiting!

I strum the guitar as i tried to remember the first few chords of the song. Sunny unnie removed the blindfold on Yuri’s eyes and that’s the time i got speechless.

I have never notice Yuri, completely dolled up in her dress. She looked at me confusingly and mumbled,

“Yoong?”

I saw in the corner of my eye, Sunny unnie signalling me to continue playing. I gulped and i tried to remember the chords but my mind went blank.

Uh-oh.

I tried to focus again but i still can’t remember.

I started to panic. I even saw Sunny unnie face palmed herself.

Can you blame me that i have to learn how to play the guitar and a song in only few hours?!

Ottoke! I completely ruin the surprise now!

I’m supposed to play a song for Yuri and surprise her but i guess she’s surprise now.

She finally realizes how epic fail i am.

Just then, an idea came up to me. I grabbed the phone from my pocket and dialled the maknae’s number. After a few rings, Seohyun answered.

“Unnie?”  Seohyun said on the other line.

“Hey, Joohyun,  you’re with Yonghwa oppa right now, right? can you be a good dongsaeng and do unnie a favour?” I asked as i turned my back on Yuri.

“W-what is it, unnie? I’ve done you a favour for your surprise for Yuri unnie. What’s the problem?”

“W-well, uhh..i kinda forgot the chords and the song Yonghwa oppa taught me. I-i messed up.” I said with my closed eyes. I couldn’t believe that i fail Yuri.

“Oh. Well, i already sent you a copy. Do you have it?”

“I don’t have enough time to go back to get it. Y-Yuri’s here, waiting for me and...”

“Yoong?” I heard Yuri called out to me.

I smiled at her and said, “Wait, hang in there, Yul. J-just stand there okay?”

She just nodded.

“Please, maknae, help me. How about let Yonghwa play the song for me over the phone. Please just one song?” I pleaded. “I’ll do everything. I can’t fail Yuri, please?”

I heard Seohyun paused and sighed, “I don’t want to bother them right now because they’re in the middle of rehearsal right now but i’ll ask oppa, okay? Don’t worry. Hang on.”

I prayed that this time my plan will work. I looked at Yuri whose waiting patiently as she watched me. I kept a smile to assure her that i can handle this.

“Okay, unnie.  Turn your loudspeaker on.”

“Thank you, maknae! Thank you! Thank you!” I almost cried.

I promise to be a good unnie to the maknae!

I’m going to name our first child to her!

Kwon-Im Seohyun. Nice!

I switched my phone into loudspeaker and let the CNBlue oppas play the song that is supposed to be my own song for Yuri. When she finally understood why i’m holding my phone towards her, she laughed.

Just then, i felt a hand on my chin which made me looked up. I saw the most beautiful face in my life, smiling at me. I take it as an approval so i smiled back.

The song finally reached into an end. I can finally sighed in relief. Yuri didn’t leave. It means she loves it!

“Yuri-sshi! Please don’t be hard on Yoona-sshi, she did this for you.” I heard Yonghwa oppa said

“Yuri unnie, i hope you like what Yoona-unnie prepared for you. She did it all for you.” The maknae said.

I bid my goodbye and put the phone back in my pocket.

“So uhh...” I started.

“Is this what you’ve been trying to hide from me?” she asked, amusingly.

“N-ne. Mianhe.” I said shyly.

Suddenly, she hugged me.

“I love it.”

“Jinja?”

“Jinja.” She smiled.

Just then, Sunny unnie came up to us, wearing a waitress costume.

“Ms. Im, Ms. Kwon, I’m Sunny, your waitress for the night. May I you to your table?” Sunny unnie said.

You know, if Sunny unnie is not an idol, i think she could make a very good waitress.

Well, i doubt that. She could own a very high- class 5-star restaurant!

We went inside the gazebo where a very romantic dinner table was set up. I offered Yuri her seat before i could sit on mine. I was smiling because Yuri smiled as she looked all over the place.

“Wow, Ms. Im. You really outdid yourself.” Yuri commented, never taking her eyes off the place.

“Of course.” I mumbled back.

“Excuse me, beautiful couple. Our dinner for tonight is Filet Mignon and 1787 Chateau Lafite as your wine. May i add that this is one of the most expensive wine in the world but for a gorgeous lady like you, Ms. Kwon, everything is priceless for Ms. Im.” Sunny unnie winked at me.

I’ll ask Uncle Soo Man to increase her salary by 50%.

Smooth moves, unnie!

“ As for your dessert, we have, Mocha Molten cakes. Would that be okay?” Sunny unnie asked.

She’s really into her character, i see.

“Sure.” I said.

“Sounds good.” Yuri nodded.

“Great. Now, i’ll leave you here for a while. Please enjoy the night.” Then Sunny unnie leaves.

We giggled. “Wow, Sunny is really into her character.” Yuri smiled.

“I made her do it.” I said.

“Wow.”

Then, we fell into a comfortable silence as we listened to the song that Sunny unnie played for us in her ipod.

Then, Sunny unnie came with our food and wine. After fixing everything, she left us again and we ate in silence. Maybe i’m too nervous when is the right time to ask her the question i’m dreading to ask that is why i kept my silence.

After we filled our tummies with food, wine and dessert, i asked Yuri for a dance. She refused at first even though we’re the only people here but after an extreme aegyo that she absolutely love among my other unnies, she gave in.

Does my extreme aegyo works in y time situation?

Hhmmm...

I’ll try that one when we’re together.

I can feel that she’ll say Yes tonight based from her smiles.

My heart beat so fast when i felt Yuri’s arms over my shoulder. I reflexively put my arms around her waist and pull her closer as we danced to the song blaring on the speaker.

Yuri put her head on my shoulder and sighed in relief.

“Thank you for this night, Yoongie.” She whispered. I can feel her breath and it send shivers on my spine.

“No problem. It’s my apology for ignoring you earlier and uhh...my failure to play a guitar.” I mumbled.

I can feel her giggle on my neck.

“It’s okay. Nobody has done it before. Good thing you have a backup plan to call Seobaby’s boyfriend and his band. So you still saved the night.”

Silence.

Ottoke, this is the right moment to tell her.

*exhale*

Im Yoona hwaiting!

“Yuri-yah?” I started.

“Ne?”

“T-the reason why i’m doing this is not because of what i did earlier, the real reason is—“

“W-what?” she pulled away from me to look me in the eyes.

I listened to her but i only felt her arms slowly letting go as i slowly opened my eyes, i gasped on the look on her face.

This is one of the things i feared the most.

She looked at me with a bittersweet sad smile on her face and looked down.

“Y-Yoona...” she mumbled.

This is not true. I tried not to believe the dejected look on her face as her answer to my confession. I will never believe it until i hear it from her.

Is this what they say how hurtful a heartbreak is?

Because it hurts.

It really hurts.

“Yuri-yah, what’s wrong? Am i too fast? Is it too soon? I’m sorry but i just can’t help it.” She kept her head down. “You know what? Forget it. Forget that i said those words to you. Think of it as an assurance that i’ll never let go, okay? I’m not gonna rush you.” I kept on blubbering as i wiping hastily those traitor tears. But it kept coming like flood.

I promised myself not to cry in front of her. I promised myself to appear strong for her because that is what she needs right? I need to prove that i’m strong so that she doesn’t need to find other guys but me.

“Yoong, please.” She mumbled.

“No..I—“

“YOONA STOP IT!” she yelled.

Silence.

“You’re a great person, Yoona but i can’t. I can’t accept you. Not after what happened—“

“Why are you still caught up in that moment? It’s over and done. I proved you already that i’m sincere about you. I’ll never stop proving it until you forgive me.” I pleaded.

“I know. But it’s ME that i couldn’t trust. You know the insecurities that i have, i’m scared, Yoong.”

“Don’t be, i’m here for you.”

“No. We’ll end up getting hurt.”

“That’s the thing about love right? It’s much worth it if we both get hurt because that’s a proof that we can fight for each other?”

Yuri kept silent but sighed. “I don’t think if i’m ready. I felt that way before but look what happened. I j-just can’t.”

This time, i don’t have the strength to wipe my tears, so i let them be.

“Why?” I mumbled.

“What?”

“If you’re that scared to be with me, then WHY are you trying to make me believe that i have a chance with you? Your jealousy, your possessiveness, your promises? Tell me, Yuri.” i said bluntly.

It hurts that after what we did, All those playful banters, her flirting gestures, everything was just an illusion to me.

None of them was real.

“I said to myself before that i’m not going to fall for you again but i think i’m so stupid because i still fell and now, i’m doing everything that i can to stop it. All those push and pull that we had is me trying to stop myself from loving you.”

I held her as i said, “No. Don’t stop yourself. Please listen to your heart, Yul. Stop thinking too much.”

“N-no. What if i said yes to you now and then that thing that happened before happen again, i can’t take any more heartache, Yoong.” She said through her tears.

We’re afraid the wait that comes upon us
After we meet will be painful and sad.

I kept my arms around her as i said, “I’ll wait for you. Don’t tell me to let you go because i can’t. I’ll wait for you until you realize how much i love you.”

Stop, making my heart bleed, Yuri-yah.

“I’ll wait for you, Yuri-yah.” i whispered.

She pulled away from me and kissed me on my forehead. As if she's telling me goodbye.

It hurts.

Can you please stop the bleeding, Yuri?

It hurts.

“I don’t deserve a wonderful person like you, Yoong. I can see i’m hurting you right now.” She said and then she left me there. There’s nothing for me to do but to broke down and cry.

What would i do ?
I really don’t know
Because im like a fool.
Even though i know looking is all i can do
 

Suddenly, i felt a pair of arms around me and i looked up to see Sunny unnie. I cried harder.

And so we could even become strangers
Just like a fool i can’t even say that i love you because….
We’re afraid the wait that comes upon us

“Unnie, what am i going to do now? She doesn’t want me because she’s scared that i...i m-might hurt her a-again.” I stammered as Sunny unnie caressed my back. “i p-promised her i’ll never hurt her. W-why can’t she believe that? I can never hurt her, right, unnie? She’s my Yuri. My Yuri.”

My Yuri.

It even hurts to think that i can never call her that.

I used to dream about saying it to her but,

It hurts.

“Yoong, give her more time. Yuri is not thinking properly.” Sunny unnie whispered at me

“Unnie...” i bawled.

“Oh, Yoong. Cry it out. Unnie is here.”

I cried for the rest of the night while asking God to kill me instead of Yuri leaving me.
