“Why are you so good at this?” asked Yongguk.  “And why would you even want to?”

“I had a girlfriend in middle school.  She used to ask me to come over to her house...and well…she asked me to paint the nails on her left hand because she kept smudging,” muttered Youngjae, blushing.  “I did it because I wanted to make her happy…” pause “You’re unhappy.”

“Oh…”

Besides, girls like this kind of thing right?” said Youngjae.

“Y-yeah…” said Yongguk, lowering her head so that her bangs covered her face.

“Did I say something wrong?” murmured Youngjae, glancing surreptitiously at Yongguk.
