Chapter 8: Stalker of a Burglar.

After eating dinner, I quickly went to the bathroom to do my nightly routine. The weather was freezing cold, so I was thanking the heavens for letting me experience warm water without having to boil for it on the stove anymore. The steam was beautiful, it was like a gift from the heavens—the feeling of washing your face with warm water during a cold weather.

I was busy loving the feeling of warm water mixed with foaming wash on my face when I suddenly heard my phone ringing from the glass shelf in front of me. Without looking at the caller id, I pressed the answer button with my only dry finger and placed it on speaker.

“Hello?” I called out, my eyes shut tight in fear that the foam will pour into my eyes.

“Jaera, this is your beloved oppa.”

Recognizing the voice, I instinctively opened my eyes in shock, and it’s as if two large needles were suddenly poked into my eyes that a sudden jolt of pain shot right through me.

“Ack! My eyes!”  I cried, hurrying to clear my eyes off of any foam while hearing faint laughter from the background.

Cue all the profanities that I could think of towards the bastard who called.

“Where the hell did you get my number?” I said in a hard tone, obviously annoyed at the sound of his voice.

“Bet your eyes are all red.”

I looked at the mirror in front of me and had a complete horror upon seeing my bloodshot eyes that looks like the image that I have of Bloody Mary. I’m not really scared of supernatural beings and stuff but I admit, Bloody Mary is an exemption.

“Just answer the damned question, you dimwit.”

“I got it from one of our classmates.” Sehun replied coolly.

“Which one?”

“Er… whatshername…”

“What the hell?”

“Meh, I forgot.” Sehun said, as I immediately felt the urge of throwing my phone into the toilet bowl. “Chill dude, why so serious?”

I was really on the verge of doing it, but then again, I don’t have money to buy a new one. “Spit it out, what the hell do you want? Why did you call? And who said you could call yourself oppa? That’s more disgusting than a cockroach flying in front of my face.”

“Well, actually, nothing could be more disgusting than your face.”

Gritting my teeth in annoyance, I concentrated all of my remaining patience into not crushing my phone. “I’m hanging up—“

“No! Don’t! I’m just kidding.” Sehun said, chuckling. “Geez, looks like somebody’s on PMS.”

“Would you just get straight to the point?!”

“Don’t you think we should start practicing for our recital?”

Upon hearing Sehun’s question, my eyes blinked a couple of times as if trying hard to actually believe that he wants to practice with me, which is, by no means, possible. “Are you sure you’re Oh Sehun?”

“Stop being a . In case you didn’t know, the semestral recital’s forty percent of our grade, .”

“So now you have the guts to call me a , you dimwit.” I hissed, my eyes rolling in annoyance. “Do you really think it’ll work out between us? Not in million years—“

I was about to make a complete rejection of Sehun’s practice offer when he suddenly cut me off.

“That’s why I’m trying to work it out with you, honey.”

What the hell—honey?

“What we have is something special and I’ll know it’ll work out somehow…” Sehun trailed off, his voice sounding melancholic with each word that came out from his mouth. I waited for him to continue, only to hear an absolutely disgusting and mushy voice with a tinge of sarcasm that caused for my blood pressure to rise dangerously high. “… with the power of our Love.”

“Go eggs, dickhead.”

Mental note to myself: never use words that could be misinterpreted by idiots, especially Oh Sehun.

Oh, and not answer any calls while having foam wash on my face.

“Niga nareul itjji motage jakku ni apeseo tto,”

It was already the last part and I couldn’t help but just think of going home. Watching my reflection on the mirror, I shook my shoulders before parting my legs like what HyunA did in the music video. I copied her hands and led them to my left shoulder before touching my head while rotating it swiftly like a bubble head toy. My expression was so neutral that it could already be compared with that of a mannequin’s. Though that’s the case, I didn’t look all too lifeless, with the help of the small beads of sweat decorating my forehead.

After flicking my hands in the air, I twisted my hips ever so carefully so as not to expose any unwanted sightings underneath the short skirt that our school requires us to wear. The scatty side of me prevailed and let me forgot to bring my jogging pants for emergency or sudden events. Honestly, I didn’t intend to do this in the first place. I wasn’t really supposed to be dancing inside the music department’s practice room.

Pushing my regrets and negative thoughts aside, I breathed hard and prepared myself for what was coming for me. The last chorus of the song that requires me to touch the nape of an unsightly being called Oh Sehun. “Ni mam jakku naega—“

“Where the hell do you think you’re touching, Oh Sehun?!”

“Goddamn it Jaera,” Sehun said, rolling his eyes at me mockingly. “We’ve been doing it for several times already and you’re still being so overly-sensitive by your hips getting touched by a complete y guy like me—“

“What? y guy like you? Fine, and pigs can fly.” I said sarcastically, shooting daggers into those puny eyes of his. “And for your information, you are not touching me, you are feeling me—“

“What blasphemy are you saying?! Me? Feeling that gigantic body of yours? I’d be really sick if I’d actually do that!”

“So you do admit that you’re a really sick person—“

“Guys, stop!” Mr. Kim yelled through the practice room, shushing Sehun and I into a complete silence. He stopped the music from playing while rubbing his temples in frustration as Sehun and I continued to glare at each other. “This is just your first day practicing together and you’re already arguing over simple matters such as this. What more if you were to do it during the recital itself?”

“She started it.” Sehun said, pointing to me like a half-assed brat that never fails to get on my nerves.

“If you didn’t start feeling my body then I wouldn’t have reacted as such in the first place—“

“What the hell?! You’re seriously—“

“I said stop.” Mr. Kim said in a hard tone as the silence triumphed again.

Heaving a heavy sigh, I sat down on the bench and furrowed my eyebrows towards Mr. Kim.

“Mr. Kim, is this number really necessary? I became a scholar in this school because I can sing.” I reasoned out before eyeing Sehun apathetically. “Sure, I can dance a little bit, but not with the likes of him.”

“Likewise.” Sehun followed as we both looked at Mr. Kim.

“And you know it.”

“You two just need to have a rest.” Mr. Kim shook his head towards the two of us with a very disappointed expression, but his look quickly faded away and was replaced by a flashy smile. “I believe in you two and I know that you can do this. Let’s call it a day and just continue practicing tomorrow.”

“But—“

“No buts.” Mr. Kim scolded, wearing his ever so shining smile that makes it hard for anybody to say no. “Okay, then. Good night! See you two tomorrow in class!”

Chapter 60: This is my second time reading the ff (T▽T) author-nim you did a really good job ˊ▽ˋ i still love it even after years past. Reading this back reminds me a lot of past (〒︿〒) i miss the past so much the first time i read this when i was still in high school, still in my teens (not that im already old but yeah just entered twenties this year) anyway the story was great, honestly when you described jisoo i used to imagined her as sulli and i was shocked when you told us that you changed her name from sulli to jisoo bc tbh i think sulli fits the description more hahaha. Talk about jisoo, i like that girl yeah she might be annoying sometimes especially when it comes to her love for luhan but can i blame her when we all know that love is something we can't choose. It must also hurt her so much same as sehun.. I just want to hug and protect him so much (╥﹏╥) that boy really sacrificed so much for jaera and his luhan hyung lmao that show how big his heart. As for jaera and luhan...i love and ship both of them so much (ಥ_ಥ) both of them was definitely are destined for each other since from the start. They lost contacts from each other but years after that, they met again without knowing each other real identity but luhan..he still fell in love with jaera for the second time (ノ>ω<)ノ i like how he really cares for jaera (T_T) i even counted how much his nose bled over jaera in this ff..it was like five times before they are married and one time after they are married lmao that girl really did make him fell hard for her (^O^)/ . If only i can upvote this so many times, i would! ♡♡ thank you for the amazing ff author-nim hehehe ♡(◡‿◡✿)
