Chapter Nine

Taemin ran into the room, all smiles, like he had just won a million dollars. I got off of my bed and stared at him. "What's up with you, Taemin?"

Taemin grinned. "I . . . confessed!"

I pretended to roll my eyes. "Wow, finally! You made that girl wait for you for how long? Weeks? A month?"

Taemin thought about it. "Um . . . yeah. About that long." He was not getting what I meant.

"What did you do?" I asked. How did baby Taemin manage to take a girl's heart?

Taemin blushed. "I . . . held her hand. Wait, no! Actually, she held mine first."

"What?! That's unheard of! Taemin, you must've been goin' way too slow!" I accused.

Taemin pouted. "I-It's not my fault! I was going to hold her hand, but I didn't get the chance, and when I did get that chance, she took my hand before I could."

I glare at him. "Are you blaming her?"

Taemin shook his head vigorously. "A-Anio, hyung! Anio! I didn't mean it like that!"

"Well, what else did you do?"

"Um. . . let's see. Oh! I confessed to her!" Taemin declared.

"That's it?!" I asked.

Taemin nodded. "Ye, hyung-nim"

"And what was her response?" I asked.

For some reason, Taemin started to blush. I stared at him. "What? What did she do?"

Taemin smiled shyly. "She . . . kissed me."

I opened my mouth, but no words came out. Then I snapped out of it. "Woah! Congratulations, Taemin! Your first kiss!"

Taemin blushed again. "Yeah, on the cheek."

I rolled my eyes. "That doesn't count."

"I know." Taemin said. "But I'm still happy!" He grinned and started to leave.

"Ya! Taemin-ah!" I called. He turned around. I grinned. "Let us meet
