CHAPTER 1 ~

“Wake up Sun-ye ah.”
I opened my eyes just enough to see my best friend, TOP (Choi Seung-hyun), towering over me…inches away from my face…scratch that…centimeters away from my face. I decided to close my eyes again.
“Yah Sun-ye! Wake up or you’ll be late for the first day of school!” He yelled in my ear.
I opened my eyes once again. I didn’t want to be late on my first day in university. I finally got accepted after being rejected last year. Seung-hyun, my best friend who has also been my neighbor for as long as I can remember, had been attending the school for two years already since he was older than me. I knew everything about him and he knew everything about me. Now, I know what you’re thinking…how can a guy and a girl be just friends? Well sure I’ve known him forever and sure I admit it…he is hot…but in all these years, I’ve never really looked at him in that way. It’s not that I don’t treat him like a guy…quite the opposite actually. Sometimes I feel like he forgets I’m a girl. You’ll find out why, later. Maybe it's just because we know the dirty little secrets about each other that nobody else knows like how he wore diapers to sleep all throughout kindergarten or how I...nevermind. -_-
“So do you think we’ll get any classes together?” I asked curiously.
“I don’t know. Probably not. We’re taking different courses,” he replied bluntly. We walked out of my house. I paused. I thought my mouth fell open…well my mouth fell off for sure.
Yup…that’s exactly why…
I wasn’t too surprised though cause he was pretty spoiled and got most things he wanted.
“When did you get this? And how come I’m only seeing it now?”
“Uhh…my dad bought it for me last week…for school.,” he replied. “Here.” he handed me a helmet. I climbed on behind…It’s hard for short people. As soon as I got on, he sped off. I jerked back, but he grabbed my hand and wrapped it around his waist. Ok…so a normal girl would blush right? But I’m not a normal girl…haha just kidding…I mean we’re just friends…trust me…we’ve been closer. And plus there’s a lot more guys in my life to deal with, but actually…the closest ones are Seung-hyun’s friends…except for one.

I got off the bike as we reached school…wahh so big!
Without realizing it, I slowly wandered off. I stopped and turned around…no Seung-hyun. I looked around frantically until I felt someone grab my hand. I turned around thinking it was Seung-hyun…but to my disappointment it was only Ji-yong, in other words Seung-hyun’s best friend. I frowned. He smiled…really big. I looked down and snatched my hand away.
“Aww. Sun-ye ah, why the cold shoulder?” he pouted.
“I’m looking for Seung-hyun,” I replied. None of his business anyways.
“Lost? Come, I’ll show you around.” But before I could refuse, he took my hand and dragged me away.*thinking* So it’s true when they say dragons take princesses away from their Prince Charming…not that Seunghyun is my Prince Charming…just the point of the dragon. Anyways…I hate him. I’ve known him since elementary school because him and Seunghyun were friends. I actually liked him back then. No…not like that. I just thought he was nice. And he WAS. But ever since I got into high school, he acted all snobby and stuck up. He would always ignore me and pretend like I didn’t exist or that he didn’t know me. He was always surrounded by girls. Typical Jiyong, he was a playboy.
As we were walking, I saw this really cute girl. Yes, the one with the dumpling cheeks. She was looking at Ji-yong…maybe she likes him. Aha, perfect. I quickly grabbed her hand and replaced it with mine, in Ji-yong’s. I winked to her. She looked at me helplessly.
I started walking backwards and suddenly when I turned around…I bumped into something…really hard. Ouch! I looked in front of me. It was someone’s chest (I’m not being erted but it was solid ) I looked up and saw Tae-yang (Young-bae). Now, he’s oppa’s most handsome friend. But the only reason I’m not completely in love with him is because he’s too shy. He would never make the first move on a girl…but he’s still hot.
I started walking backwards and suddenly when I turned around…I bumped into something…really hard. Ouch! I looked in front of me. It was someone’s chest (I’m not being erted but it was solid ) I looked up and saw Tae-yang (Young-bae). Now, he’s oppa’s most handsome friend. But the only reason I’m not completely in love with him is because he’s too shy. He would never make the first move on a girl…but he’s still hot.
“Hi Sun-ye sshi,” he’s not as shy around me. He went to elementary school with us too. I smiled. He smiled (I have that effect on people). I swear his eyes weren’t open at all…but they were smiling…ahh so cute. I squealed…inside my head of course…I hope …but I wasn't the only one. Everybody saw him. He blushed! OMG! I guess he never smiled before to anyone. The girls glared at me. Jealous? Haha…you should be.
“Have you seen Seung-hyun?” we both said at the same time and laughed.
“Let’s look for him together then,” he offered.
I heard familiar voices coming our way. In the distance, I could see Seung-hyun running…really fast in my direction! I gasped as I saw what…or who he was running from. Kim Yoo-bin is gonna murder him today.
I smiled…but he grabbed my arm and hid behind me. Jerk. I laughed at him until I saw how fast unnie was coming towards me. I don’t think she’ll be stopping anytime soon. I think Taeyang noticed too cause he pulled me really hard in his direction. I crashed into his body and his into the wall behind him. He flinched a little. Behind me, I could hear Yoobin yelling and Seunghyun oppa…choking! I looked up and saw Taeyang’s face beat red. I looked down and he quickly released my hand.
“Are you okay oppa?” I asked politely.
“Umm…yeah thanks,” he smiled.
“Thanks? Shouldn’t I be the one saying that?” I looked at him. Just then I felt someone grab my shoulder. I turned around and kicked him in the face…just kidding. Yeah, I know, I'm in a violent mood today.
“Sun-ye ah,” he was gasping for air, “I’ll take you to your class.” Finally. I saw Yoo-bin’s furious eyes turn into a smile as she looked at me. We have been best friends since even before she started going out with Seunghyun. I forced them into the relationship. Okay, well that's a bit of an exaggeration. I just made Seunghyun realize that he actually liked her. I don’t know why but I guess all four of us decided to walk to my class together. I was talking to unnie and she told me that Seunghyun had ignored her throughout the whole vacation…probably working. No wonder he almost died today.
